Magic is dark. Evil is mayhem.I’m Siobhan Riordan, and my life is an unending nightmare.I was living a fairy-tale, until I found my husband brutally slain. Ever since then I’ve been raising our three-year-old son on my own and just trying to get by.But I can’t hide any longer. There’s a mysterious plague going around my town, an illness that causes people to go mad just before the end. Even … before the end. Even worse, I’m being stalked, though I don’t know by who. Doctor Steven Breslin seems like the only one who can help, though he has secrets I’m not ready to uncover.
Then the worst happens— my son falls prey to this supernatural disease. If I don’t save him, death awaits us all.

This is every bit as good as the first book and I just could not put it down! Ballynagaul an Irish village that I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t want to live in as people are dying and falling ill mysteriously! Well written with suspense and intrigue, action, twists and turns and of course romance, I cannot recommend this series enough!
Oh my this place is one that sucks you in with knocking continuously springing on you suspense and intrigue. Both sides seem to flow in this place too with happy and nightmare. This one is more rounded with more than one that captures your attention. This one is so full of the story it is bursting at the seems to flow into our enjoyment. You too will do the wonder game thinking what is happening and rooting for answers. Have a flashlight ready for the dark that filters in at times also. Now if only I can hold onto till the next one.
Once again, Calinda B has delivered a top notch and page turning book. This is the second book in the series and is, in my opinion, even better than the first. The character development has continued and the story world is very believable. I highly recommend this book to anyone that has read the first one and/or enjoys magic in a darkly entertaining story.
Wow if your looking for a fast paced read that has you on the edge of your seat this fits. She was living a fairytale until her husband was slain. Now there is a mysterious plaque going around and her son is affected by it. This grabbed my attention from the first page. Its fast Paced and heart pounding. This Author to me has hit this series right out of the park. A definite must read.

Dark fantasy. Despair grows as the story progresses. All of the relationships are strained. All of the wonderful characters have turned dark. Life in Ballynagaul is hard. Nonetheless, it’s a book worth reading. I enjoyed it. I think that you will as well.
I received a copy of this book as a gift. I am leaving my honest review.
Heart’s blood is book 2 in the supernatural romance series The Bloodstone Trilogy. This story takes place 2 years after the events in Grave Stones. The main storyline centres around Siobhan this time, as she fights her demons – both in her mind and real, for the chance to find happiness again with Dr. Steven Breslin. Lassi and Cillian also return as they try to help Siobhan as well as work through their own relationship issues. Heart’s Blood is dark at times, with some suspenseful moments and loads of emotion and intrigue. The plot is unique and unpredictable and kept me hooked from beginning to end.
First let me state, I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.
Wow this is book 2 in the Bloodstone Trilogy. I read book 1 & loved it & couldn’t wait for book 2, and I’m so glad to read this. In book 1 you meet Lassie & Cillian along with a few other characters. In book 2 this story continues on, but can still be read as a standalone. This story mainly focuses on Siobhan & all her grief and so much more. There’s a lot happening here and I’m not going to say because I don’t want to give it away. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up
Lassi and Cillian are still deeply in love but going through a hard time at present. Cillian is brooding and keeping secrets. Does he have someone else? And there is Bres, the village doctor. He is madly in love with Siobhan, whose husband was murdered a few years ago. Unfortunately she is still in deep mourning and cannot get over it, so she rejects Bres’s love. Then her son gets seriously ill and is on the verge of dying. There are so many children sick at the same time too. Plus there are more unexpected deaths in the little village. A grieving widow. Love in trouble. A moody priest. A pregnancy. Banshees. What is happening in this little village now? So much trouble. Cannot wait to read the next one.
I am new to this series, and I have become a big fan with this second book. Don’t get me wrong, I really liked the first one, but this one just let me settle in for a great time. Lassi finds out some great news in this one, but she isn’t sure how Callum will take it. Add to that her friend Siohban seems to be losing it, and the children are all getting gravely ill. What is wrong now? This was a great book filled with great characters, and I’ve come to so love Lassi and her villagers. This is a little bit of a dark urban fantasy, but I do quite enjoy it because it had loads of humor, too. I am really looking forward to the next in the series as I know there is one! Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
The story gets richer, darker, and more vivid. With mystery, suspense, and maybe a little romance with new characters Siobhan and Steven. A new mystery that is killing off some of the small town. The arching plot thinkens.
Another dark fantasy that was vividly described and brought to life. Alex is back and to my delight he has done the entire series. I love the added elements that he brings to making foreign land come to life
A great addition to the bloodstone trilogy. After the tragedy in book one sorrow has lingered in the town of ballynagall. Change is not always easy even when wanted.
