I had their love once. They saw me for the girl I am and the person I yearn to become one day—a woman who thrives in her freedom and dances away in her rightfully earned independence. They saw all the strong, unafraid parts of me, and coaxed each one of them out, daring me to dream bigger, climb higher. They never once saw the girl I had been groomed to see in the mirror. The abandoned daughter of a … to see in the mirror.
The abandoned daughter of a dead man.
The unwanted child of a woman who despised her.
The broken body formed wrong and built on a shaky foundation, threatening to fall apart and shatter.
They made all the ugliness disappear and left only wonder and promise. The love we shared for each other was probably the only miracle I would be granted in this life, and I knew they felt the same.
Or so I thought.
Everything I held dear has been robbed from me, and I’ve been a victim of theft too many times to mention.
I will not have them steal my pride.
They can keep my heart, for all I care.
The day they became my stepbrothers, it stopped working anyway.

“This girl stole the only light in my life, so she deserves only darkness in hers.”
I have no words.
None.
This book was epic.
I was addicted.
I literally read it in one sitting, inhaling the words. Needing to know what was coming next.
Ivy Fox is a new to me author but you can guarantee that I will be reading all of her books now!
Ivy bought her A game with Heartless.
This story took me by surprise because it wasn’t what I was expecting at all.
The guys…. just swoon!!
Ash is a jump in head first and not think about the consequences kind of guy. He has a temper but when he loves, he loves so fiercely and I fell for him even though he made stupid decisions that made me cry and wanna throat punch him.
Ollie is more reserved. He wants to be more like his brother because he thinks with his head first before reacting and wishes he could shut down his feelings easier like Ash. But he stole my heart just as much as Asher did.
Also the adults in the story made me incredibly stabby.
Holland was such a kick ass. She has been dealt blow after blow all of her life and when the one thing that made her happy, that she gripped onto with both hands is ripped away from her… I wanted to cry for her. No one deserves to be treated the way she did and my heart went out to her. The girl loves with all of her heart and would do anything for these boys. It makes me heart hurt just thinking about it.
I loved the secondary characters, even though Rome
Could be an absolute asshat he snuck his way into my heart and I can’t wait to read more about him. Also Elle, everyone wants a friend like her. I really hope she gets her own book.
Also…. DAMN YOU IVY FOR THAT CLIFFHANGER!!!
I need more words and need them now!
This book has killed me. Bought me to my knees.
I bow down to you Ivy because you’ve just gained yourself a fan for life.
Everyone pick this book up when it releases. You won’t regret it.
I AM SPEECHLESS!
”This girl stole the only light in my life, so she deserves only darkness in hers.”
I’ve read Ivy Fox books before and it wasn’t news to me that this book was good.
This RH book was different from the other ones I have usually read!
Holland life is not easy she has a mother,
who has never raised her or cared for her she has lived with her dad’s mom all the time.
Until her life changes from the day her father dies, she must move to live with her mother
The relationship between mother and daughter is not good because her mother is a complete bitch.
Lifelike a prison where she wants to escape.
She works in a cafe, she doesn’t have many friends only Candy with whom they work
Last summer her life changed when she met two hot twin brothers who came on a summer vacation.
They communicate by phone and now the brothers are back on vacation
But the situation is different now she lives with her horrible mother now,
which no one knows is that she lives a double life to be a little happy
But the lie always comes out
Asher and Oliver are twins who have fallen in love with the same girl
and they want to take the relationship to another level
They also have a hot older brother Rome and younger sister, Elle
This story was very cute, heartbroken, emotional, dramatic, sexual, trust lies secrets,
not a caring mother, means girls, terrible father of boys and a terrific twist at the end
Story told Holland, Asher, Oliver and Rome point of views
I really enjoyed the story and am looking forward to read the second part of the book that is coming soon!
Thank you!
Heartless is the first book in The Privileged of Pembroke High. One thing for sure is that the title of the book is Heartless but the reader is taken on a journey full of heartfelt emotional roller-coaster. It offers all the things a reader would want in a suspenseful read. It has angst, betrayal, deceit, lies, hatred, selfishness and of course love. Read to find out what happens when one couples decision affects the rest of the family.
This is the first book in the Privileged of Pembroke High series and it was fantastic! This is one of those books that takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions from beginning to end. The book has a great story, is fast paced, full of suspense, sad, laugh out loud funny, incredibly sexy and is full of awesome characters. I was hooked the minute I started reading and I couldn’t put it down. I cannot say enough about this writer and I highly recommend her!
No spoilers of any kind included.
So all I’m going to say about Heartless is I thought it was good and I’m going to leave it at that.
Now I don’t really care for bully romance but the way Ivy Fox wrote this book, it kept me interested enough that I can’t wait until the next book.
So it’s a yes I do recommend Heartless to anyone searching for a good story to climb into and get lost within its pages.
***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.***
This book was AMAZING!!! I’ve been looking forward to this story ever since Ivy first started talking about it, and oh my gawd… it did NOT disappoint. I inhaled this book. Trust me, you won’t want to put it down once starting it. Ivy Fox brings the angst, drama, lies, steam, and then leaves you craving the next book in the series.
Ollie and Asher made it so easy to fall for them, but dammit, they also made me want to throw my kindle at the wall.
As for Roman, I admit I wanted to throat punch him the majority of the time but I am also REALLY looking forward to more of his interactions with Holland.
Ivy Fox knows how to write bully romances and fans of the genre will NOT be disappointed. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
This is hands down one of the best books I’ve ever read!! It needs to be in your tbr!! Ivy Fox has a way with words that blew my mind and turned my world upside down!! Hopeless is tragic and dark love story with so much hope, the characters are so well developed and I swear when you’re reading Ivy’s work it’s like the world melts away and you’re literally in the book with these characters watching everything unfold! You will clutch your heart the whole time reading hoping Holland will come out on top! I love Holland!! Hell I actually loved all the characters!! Well except one and when you read it you’ll know who I’m talking about!! So get this boook!!!!! What are you waiting for?!? You have to read it!!!
OKAY GUYS. THIS book is incredible! It is one of the best bully academy/reverse harem romances I have read. The whole time I was reading, I couldn’t help but keep thinking that THIS is how you write a bully story. These characters are addicting to read, and I NEED this second book like yesterday!
Heartless is about a young woman named Snow (Holland), and the 2 boys that she is madly in love with. These 2 boys are actually brothers. Twin brothers. Every summer they look forward to getting together and making the best of the time they have with one another. Oliver and Asher decide that this is the summer that things need to be made official. They want Snow, and they don’t care what anyone else thinks. But, little do they know, that dream is about to be crushed….because over the years that they knew one another, Snow left out a lot of details about her real life. These secrets come to the front stage when her mother decides to marry their father. Then the secrets are spilled, and Oliver and Asher are wrecked. They decide to ruin her. To make her hurt like they hurt. &They do all they can to destroy her. BUT, they haven’t gotten the full story yet…&we don’t know if any of the hatred that they now carry for Snow will ever go away.
I HIGHLY recommend Heartless. This book had me sucked in from the very first page. It gave some truly swoon worthy moments, heart ache, and caused anxiousness because of not knowing what would be happening next. There is a cliffhanger, but it is SO worth reading anyway. I am dying and SO ready for book 2. I can’t want to see what Ivy Fox has up her sleeve for book 2!
Damn, Ivy Fox has done it again! What a freaking story!
I am so in love with these characters and their story. I loved it from the very beginning until the very end, I was totally captivated.
As usual Ivy Fox has put me thorough the ringer with all the feels and emotions I endured and has left me needing more.
Heartless is a type of book that you have a love-hate-relationship. I wanted to flove Heartless instead I loub it. It started out slow; but as I kept reading I was rooting for Holland, but at times I wanted to roll my eyes & there’s no doubt I (& many others) wanted to throat punch Ollie, Ash & Rome for what they did/do. I whole heartedly need book 2, Soulless, in late September after that cliffy at the end.
Here’s why: (I’m a walking contradiction) I’m a sucker for these types of books, but it still irks me that a girl & guy promise each other their love & trust, but when push comes to shove they always end up doing the exact opposite.
Wow! I did not see that coming. This book is so good. I have so many feelings right now. Holland is an amazing character. I love her spunk and determination. She has so much love in her but has struggled to receive any from her parents. The guys are tough. I’m not sure on my feelings for them. This is a great book. I couldn’t stop once I started reading. I really want the next book now.
Narration for audiobook:
So I fell in love with this series back in 2019 and I thought it would be a good idea to give these a listen in anticipation of Elle’s book coming out later this month. Boy was I not disappointed! I am even more excited now to read Elle, Chad, and Saint’s story after getting back into the world of POPH. The narrators I thought did a good job bringing these characters to life. I could feel the angst, sadness, and broken hearts, their depictions were very close to what I imagined. I think there were a couple moments where I was taken out of the story because the narration was a little off, but nothing too badly. I loved the range of Laurie, have to do a lot of male and female voices (I don’t think Jeremy had to do as much). I think Jeremy’s female narrations could be stronger/more diverse with intonation, but he got a solid 4/5 stars from me. If you love RH and can handle bullying from the harem (it will get better, I promise!) then you will love this love story
Previous review from 2019 (still holds true!):
I loved Ivy’s previous books but I think this one might take the cake. Like I loved Rotten Girl and Archangels MC, but this one transported me to the Hamptons, had me fall in love with the twins, and was devastated by the events that transpired as flashbacks and present day confrontations. I absolutely got sucked into this story and am already in love with the characters and the storyline, despite have a bully trigger based on previous trauma.
I think Holland is so relatable, especially her past that has kept her under lock and key (no I am not going to spoil it for you). I related because one of my aunts has the same issue so I know how difficult and scary it can get. I need to know more about her relationship with her dad, how things came to a head that made him take such drastic action. I was crushed by Holland’s flashbacks and the way her mom treats her now, even worse than when her dad was in the picture. She is very hesitant to let people in, I mean who can blame her? She has the mom from hell and a non-existent dad. She just wants to have a normal life and starts to have it until her mom ruins everything.
I wont give the rest away because its better if you are surprised. I will say that I kept going back and forth between my favorite of Holland’s guys (Ollie and Ash). I love me some nerds (i.e. Ollie), but Ash had the bad boy exterior with a total marshmallow inside. I cannot wait to see them get back to where they used to be. Its going to be insane and super , especially if the diner and beach scenes are just teasers/little tastes of what’s to come!! I think Rome needs a swift kick to his nether regions, but he is super loyal to his fam and I know the big softie is in there. He just has been burned pretty badly in the past so he has a spikey exterior to keep people at an arm’s length.
The other characters are amazingly written. Ivy has really gotten the whole villain thing down pat now. I saw it in Rotten Girl and then Rotten Men, but this book shows a huge growth in that respect. Vivienne and Judge Grayson are horribly mean/evil. I thought Elle stole the book at moments and she needs her own book/novella with Saint and Chad (OMG I LOVE CHAD ALREADY!!!). I am super excited to see where this new sisterhood is going and love the friendship that Elle and Holland have developed. Elle and her friends are definitely the source of giggles/levity that the book needed.
Ok, enough ranting from me. I loved loved loved this book. I liked that it wasn’t the typical bully romance and the solution that could have help avoid the whole misunderstanding could have been easily implemented and avoided, but life doesnt always work out the way we planned. It gets messy. People get hurt. This story is going to show how Holland, Ash, Ollie, Rome (and Elle) can come together after THAT ENDING and not fall apart.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book but beware, there is a cliffhanger. Don’t go into this book thinking its going to be all sunshine and unicorns. It might start off that way but it quickly digresses. These characters are going to have to work for it. Ivy doesnt write predictable storylines; there is always some twist/new perspective. Also, she will obliterate your heart with the quick change in emotions and some scenes that will hit you in the feels. You have been warned
An uncaring mother, and a father who ended it all, failing health and a desire to be normal is her life.
Her summer job brings her peace and tranquility through aches, a little pocket money and her boys.
She’s amazing, from her dedication to her customers, to her ability to love them both with all that she is. She is theirs as much as they are hers.
They want to buy her a future in their world, bring her to their side, but little do they know the secrets she holds and the pain she can inflict.
Stop what press this is IT!! the one book you simply have to read!
The one book that will not only steal your heart and completely destroy it, but leave you in such a state of desperation for more it’s almost painful.
Oh my god characters so divine in their love, and hatred. The steps they take, the dance they make along that one line. It’s both poetic and agonisingly beautiful.
Asher and Ollie, the calm and the storm. Passionate and unyielding in their love.
They are together a force to be reckoned with! as single entitys they are unpredictable and uncontrollable. Wild almost.
Holland is the purest of them all, much like her nickname “snow”. Placed in a position that leaves no room for her heart to be where it longs she becomes both a fighter and a friend.
Amazing, unique and totally spellbinding characters and that’s without mentioning the remaining siblings of the twins.
I went into this book as an Ivy Fox virgin and wow she completely blew my mind in more ways than I ever imagined possible.
I hang my head in shame that it’s taken me so long to find her. Buuuut now that I have I’m going to devour all shes written as her words are pure gold!
