I had their love once. They saw me for the girl I am and the person I yearn to become one day—a woman who thrives in her freedom and dances away in her rightfully earned independence. They saw all the strong, unafraid parts of me, and coaxed each one of them out, daring me to dream bigger, climb higher. They never once saw the girl I had been groomed to see in the mirror. The abandoned daughter of a … to see in the mirror.
The abandoned daughter of a dead man.
The unwanted child of a woman who despised her.
The broken body formed wrong and built on a shaky foundation, threatening to fall apart and shatter.
They made all the ugliness disappear and left only wonder and promise. The love we shared for each other was probably the only miracle I would be granted in this life, and I knew they felt the same.
Or so I thought.
Everything I held dear has been robbed from me, and I’ve been a victim of theft too many times to mention.
I will not have them steal my pride.
They can keep my heart, for all I care.
The day they became my stepbrothers, it stopped working anyway.

With probably my last two brain cells left, I will try to write this review. So, please bear with me if my review sounds a bit all over the place, incoherent or just plain senseless. Why you ask am I like this? Well, I just finished reading this remarkable and gripping book; the culprit for my sleep deprivation.
OMG, you guys! This book and its author are HEARTLESS! And don’t let me start with the boys of this series too. I JUST CAN’T! WHY? Why you do me like that? I am seriously on the fence whether to hate or love this newest series of the author. Maybe it was both? Because it was so damn good! But what did I expect? Ever since her recently concluded Rotten Love Duet (which I adore!), let just say that I’m eagerly anticipating this book. And boy, did this book delivered!
Without giving away too many details, this book nailed bully romance on its head. The bully element is perfectly rendered and appropriate in the story. The drama and angst factor was brought on by deceits, lies and betrayals that surrounds them. I’m telling you, the feels of this story hits me right in the chest! There is no other way you won’t be able to feel and relate with the hurt, pain and heartbreak of a true love that these characters felt.
Told in multiple POV, the story enables you to have a glimpse to each main characters thoughts and feelings. Snow is a smart young woman but dealt with shitty parents. She learned to be self reliant, see the positive in a situation, and doesn’t give her trust easily. I don’t want to play favorites, but as of this moment, I love Roman. He may be rude, cold and hard hearted but he hides a soft spot for those he truly loves. The twins, Asher and Oliver, may be my second favorite set of twins out there in the book world. Ash with his impish, volatile, fun attitude and sensitive, logical, hot Ollie; they are like night and day. I couldn’t get enough of these two. My other favorite is Elle, the only rose among the Grayson’s thorns. She is sassy, wise beyond her years and a force to be reckoned with. I think I will have to retract my earlier sentiment and say instead that all of them are my favorites, LOL.
I loved every second I’ve spent reading this baby and I can’t wait to read the next one because that ending is a killer! I may have screamed bloody murder and nearly proceeded to throw my e-reader, so ladies be prepared for a major book hangover. Love, love, love it!
I love all of Ivy’s books, she is a really talented Author, it seems she is just getting better and better at this writing gig. So enough of blowing smoke, lets get on with reviewing the book…
I love Holland, she is a broken girl, with other issues but wow she is also an incredibly strong leading character! The stuff she puts up with throughout the book from the people closest to her and are supposed to love her unconditionally, would slay a weaker person.
Oliie and Ash, well what can i say about these beautiful, broken boys… they have every reason for the way they react but they still really p****d me off!!! And as for the arrogant and brutal Roman, words fail me, he is a huge a*****e, but so very yummy with it.
The adults in the book make me feel homicidal!
The cliffhanger is brutal and we will have to wait a couple of months for the next book but I have a feeling it’s definitely going to be worth the wait.
This story has all the feels and is a book you should definitely read, really can’t recommend it enough.
What a story this was I could not put it down once I started reading. Ivy has really outdid herself with this book and how she has you falling in love with the characters. You can’t help to have your heart break for the M.C.’s and that ending whas like W.T.F. I absolutely can not wait for the next book in this series to come out. Thank you Ivy for all the hard work you put into your storys to make us readers happy…
*mind blown* Holland is a great character. You’ll fall in love with her instantly. The twins need a good beating and don’t even get me started on Rome! Definitely some heartbreak in this book and man I can’t wait to find out what happens next in their story!
Wow…just wow. The world building and character development are so good. There were moments my heart was breaking for what the characters were experiencing. Love and trust are fragile things and when broken can be hard to mend. I literally ran to preorder book 2 immediately after finishing.
What a riveting read! I was completely engrossed early on and couldn’t put this book down. Be ready for all the feels. The characters are absolutely incredible. This book took me by surprise! What an incredible story, but the ending! I am on the edge of my seat for the next book. I received a complimentary copy and am voluntarily leaving an unbiased, honest review.
Wow this really did leave me Heartless… This is a fantastic book Ivy Fox has done it again…. Her characters are absolutely brilliant and so true…… This was such a page tuner I felt sorry for the young Holland so many problems that she has to over come, horrible mother and then she falls in Love only for the biggest crueliest thing to happen. Wow can not wait for book 2…….. Absolutely fantastic read
5 Delicious Stars! This book left me speechless. Heartless is a beautifully woven story filled with first love, heartache, angst, grief, anger, lust, intrigue, and revenge. I could not put it down. It grabs your attention and your heart from the very first page to the very last word. Prepare yourself for a wild roller coaster ride.
Oh. My. God. I just finished and I’m at a loss for words. That ending!!!! This is another incredible series by Ms. Fox. You will be consumed by these characters and story and the ending!!!! Damn, I hope the next one comes out quickly. I’m dying!
A MUST read. I like to start off with that Incase your just skimming reviews. I sometimes do that and certain things stick out. Let that stick out because you should be reading this right now! Three pages in and I already wanted to fight for our girl! A book that even starts out making you feel for the character is for sure going to be a book you won’t want to put down. Some questions get answered right away but there still some you just can’t wait to uncover. This book blew me away in all the best ways. Ivy has done it again. I can not wait for the next one! Twists and turns. You think you have it figured out? You don’t. It’s that good!
Heartless left me in tatters and i doubt it will be better until the next book! It made me laugh and cry with characters i both loved and hated in equal measure. I just wanted to hug Holland aka Snow. I felt for her with hardly anyone on her side and a Grade A b***h of a mother. A truly horrible woman! Then with all other problems with Roman, Ash and Ollie. I wanted to slap the three of them silly. The only redeeming person in that family at the mo is Elle. A lovely character. Oh and that ending??? Floored by that one but cliffhanger endings are Ms Fox’s MO and they are always outstanding! All i can say is this book Heartless is anything but. Loved it!
Well this book for sure show young angst and stupidity perfectly. It show cruelty as well. It show love, even if sometime in twisted way. Even if age of characters make me stutter little bit (man, does they start early nowadays). Author did paint corrupted world of parents who put theirs kids down every moment they can. It’s world full of secrets, pretending and fake smiles. The plot was quite interesting, it kept my full attention. And the cliffhanger, ehh, whom should I kill to know what will happen next?
Its almost midnight and I couldn’t keep my eyes off the pages. This book gutted me heart and soul. Its so beautifully written. Heartless has taken my heart for a tumble in so many directions. I will say that there is a cliffhanger BUT I would read this a million times over knowing that there is one. Time cannot move fast enough for the next release. Until then, I’ll be biding my time anxiously awaiting book 2.
Fearless is book 2 involving these three characters and book 5 in the series. I wouldn’t say you have to read the first three books first, but I would highly, highly recommend it as the first three go a bit into more detail and depth when involving Elle’s family drama.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I would classify this as a enemies to lovers, second chance romance. Watching how the relationships evolve between Chad and Saint, Saint and Elle, and Chad and Elle was very interesting and intriguing. They all three love each other and give the other something that the others can’t. The dynamics of jealousy, hate, lust, etc were enough to make you want to scream “just get over it and admit it to each other!!!” But where would the fun in that be, right? lol
The guys were interesting because of how they each were able to be open with some of their emotions, but yet extremely guarded and unwilling to budge with others.
Elle is almost like the glue that holds them all together. She is like the sun and Chad and Saint are like planets that need the sun to survive. Saint will surprise you with how he is and who he really is. Chad. Chad made me want to slap him a few times lol.
I am super excited to read about Maya’s story next!
what a fabulous book!! … already love Ivy Fox, but “Heartless” totally gripped me and wouldn’t let go!
Oh my goodness this book gutted me. My heart goes out to Snow because holy hell she’s got it rough! There’s a lot going on in this book that will break your heart. And the ending omg. There are loose ends and a cliffhanger I dying to know the answers too! I’m off to read book two because if it’s as good as this one I’ll be losing some sleep
I loved this new RH novel by Ivy Fox. The beginning of their story is so sweet until it’s not. Young love, first love, innocent and naïve but wait there’s not two in this relationship but three. Meet Holland aka Snow, Asher and Oliver Grayson, blissfully living in their summer bubble until outside forces bring reality crashing down on them. It’s an emotional, sad and gut wrenching tale of betrayal, lies and darkness and how the three of them struggle to live in a world they never expected for themselves. I can’t wait to see what happens next and if we get more of Roman Grayson.
I did find the first book a little slow but towards the end it picked up and then ended on a cliffhanger so big you can’t not keep reading. Holland is such a relatable character & I think that’s what draws you in. This is such a great storyline that keeps you begging for more while continuing to throw curveballs. Its slow build relationships that turn to hurt & heartbreak. Secrets, betrayal, scheming & lust. & Of course characters you can’t help but hate. Overall the story was unique and i really enjoyed it!
Wow! That cliffy! Am I right?! Who all didn’t see that coming? Am I the only one?! Kay, Ivy Fox I’ve only ever read one other book from you and that was a collaboration with CR Jane the Breathe Me Duet, and I gotta tell you this was absolutely remarkable writing. I’ve never read a book that started with a harem but turned to bullying. I’m almost glad I don’t have to wait months for the next book but I’m also dreading reading the second book.
”This girl stole the only light in my life, so she deserves only darkness in hers.”
This is so good! Epic, really. I read it in one sitting. I’m thanking my lucky stars that I’ve got the next book in the series already waiting for me on my shelves, so I can dive right into it.
I want more, I need more.
