Coming back to sell my childhood home should’ve been easy. Nothing in life is easy. Especially when Catherine Wells is determined to make it hard. And by hard, I mean, well… hard. She’s sweet and feisty and determined to get under my skin in every way imaginable. Now, I have something new to focus on. Her. I shouldn’t even be thinking about her. I should just walk away. They call me a …
I should just walk away.
They call me a heartbreaker but they’ve never met Catherine Wells.

This is a very well written home town romance with amazing characters. You can’t say to much because it will give the book away but there is something happening in every chapter to get you interested and flipping the pages. This is a must read book.
Give love a chance
Heartbreaker is the first book I’ve read by Logan Chance and I’m definitely looking forward to reading more of his work.
The book starts off as a typical enemies-to-lovers trope – with Booker who is cocky, arrogant and hot as hell and Cat, the sweet, small town gardener who’s just trying to get by.
However it quickly becomes so much more. The lead characters, Cat and Booker, are real, authentic and relatable – with well rounded, intriguing back stories – and the supporting characters are a lot of fun and provide some great comedic moments (and I’m so pleased Booker’s friends Jonah and Declan have/are getting their own books!).
“Until I met this man, I never realized what true attraction felt like.”
Heartbreaker is a romance that asks: if you knew a potential relationship had an expiry date, would you still give it a chance? That’s something Booker and Cat are destined to find out. And I enjoyed finding out along with them.
While I love Logan Chance’s romcoms, this standalone featuring a wounded heartbreaker was a nice change of pace from this author. The two lovers were both coming from hard pasts where trust didn’t come easy, so the barriers they had to overcome felt huge.
I loved how they fell for each other, and how their chemistry grew and grew until they couldn’t hold back any longer. A very happy ending made it a perfect quarantine binge read and proves to me that the author has a much broader talent than just humor!
Such a good story I didn’t want it to end. Once I started this book I didn’t want to put it down. I found this book romantic, funny, sexy, emotional, a page turner, and of course exceptionally well written.
LOVED THIS BOOK!!!
Heartbreaker is the first book I’ve read by Logan Chance but definitely not the last. I absolutely loved the characters. Booker and Cat are so well written. The storyline is great. I couldn’t put this one down. Absolutely loved it.

#Heartbreaker
I couldn’t wait for this story , seeing sneak peeks I was so intrigued and Logan surely didn’t disappoint. I’ve read every book by Logan Chance each time saying the next one is my favorite., Heartbreaker has made it to my top favorite read this year ,words cannot express or do justice to the absolutes superb writing and flow of this story. I was left captivated from the first page until the last Logan gave us suspense , a plot twist I did not see coming , his usual Rom-Com scenes and scorching hot sexy we come to expect from him.
Booker is complex to say the least… he comes off harsh and arrogant and also very sexy (especially with his Au la natural morning coffee rituals ) but underneath all that persona is a past that will grab you by the heart and not let go . This story was deep , it made me live the characters every feeling every emotion like I was right there with them that’s how brilliantly this was written.
Cat is a down home sweetheart who works hard and loves what she does and upon their first meeting some might say fate stepped in but they did not start off on a good track while butting heads, and back and forth banter, we get to see all the layers both Booker and Cat have built up from their pasts slowly peel away one layer at a time.
Booker and Cat were two of the most strongest and heartfelt characters I’ve read in a long time and in reading this you will understand the saying “Never Judge a Book/or Person by their Cover”
I’ve been really vague with my Review for the simple reason that I do not want to give away any spoilers I feel everyone needs to experience the greatness that is written in this story.
Logan Chance I applaud you, you have given us what I can only describe as sheer perfection and brilliance with Heartbreaker. Congratulations you have managed to make Booker tied with Theo for me (and that is not an easy task )
Go out and “One Click “ this Now !!!!
Wow, Heartbreaker is a sexy, emotional read! You’ll fall for Cat and Booker just like I did, so take a chance and 1-click today.
What can I say about this book that I already haven’t said in my other two reviews? Well, that would be nothing other than I still love this book, and even after I read it for the second time. I honestly think it was even better this time than the first time when I read it. The characters are entertaining and it has just enough hot and steamy scenes to make a person blush. I’m also giving this book an added 5 hearts with my 5 stars.
Buy it! Read it! Love it! You won’t regret it!!
I absolutely loved this book. I could not put it down until I was finished. Loved the characters.
This book is phenomenal. I was so taking by these two. Booker and Cat have a chemistry of all time. I fell in love with both of them. Their journey is one for the ages. I couldn’t stop reading this. The writing and flow of this book is absolutely fantastic. Absolutely recommend this book.
OMG! I never saw that coming. It may be a first for me, because I usually can always figure out the climax before it happens, but there was never any hint at this.
The angst in this one was overwhelming. And this author builds such amazing sexual tension. The character development is excellent. I really disliked Booker’s character, but held on knowing he would be redeemed, yet never suspecting how spectacularly he would be redeemed. Both of these characters are damaged, majorly damaged. But Booker was an absolute train wreck. You really hope that Cat can bring him some healing.
Booker’s very, very complex history is compelling. It’s not a superficial issue, like in most romances. The way it effects him in powerfully conflicting ways, and the way it has effected his family as well is really well thought out. The more you think about it, the deeper it gets and you come to sympathize with Booker and why he is so dark and broody.
Catherine is irresistible. Everything about her. She’s got her own ugly baggage but she has people around her who reaffirm her value. Actually we should have gotten to know more about her whole issue, why it happened. There were hints but the explanation never materialized.
I like the continued movie references and book references. Little peeks into what makes the author tick. Also Booker’s poetry is beautiful. Mr. Chance should write poetry, he has a real talent for it. Also referencing the song ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran was…well, perfect. This author has a really great ability to ‘show, not tell’ what the emotional tone of his stories is through techniques like this.
Anyway, thank you for this Logan, you nailed this one. (Get it? That’s a romance pun. yuk, yuk)
Booker is the “Heartbreaker” who helps couples reunite. Cat is a single mother trying to get her business off the ground. Their meet-cute causes them to dislike each other, but circumstances bring them together and we have the makings of an enemies to lovers trope. Logan gives Booker so many layers and a mystery behind him that you can’t put the book down. Cat is a strong woman who knows what she wants and isn’t shy about saying it. Together they are fire. The boat scene is WOW! Logan has a definite 5 star winner with this. Now on to Book 3.
This one took me by surprise. Not the normal lighthearted rom-com i love from Logan. But OMG… Booker stole my heart.
Booker had baggage and never thought he would ever find love.
Cat was so strong and knew exactly what she wanted.
Together they were hot… the chemistry obvious.
As Bookers story unfolds i was filled with emotions…really tugged at the heartstrings. This was not your usual backstory.
This book had me addicted from the start. I mean who doesnt love a hottie standing naked in front of you with a coffee.
Good morning!!!
Loved every minute of this book.
A must read
Logan Chance is a firm favourite. I absolutely adored this story! It’s entertaining, with some wonderful characters and a sweet HEA.
Totally unexpected in a heart gripping way. If you think you know how this book is going to go you are wrong. The pieces don’t fall how you would expect them and it is captivating. Booker starts off as a closed off grade-A douche to Cat and flips a 180 becoming a sweet heart-melting man with a damaging past. The characters are not perfect they have their flaws, but not in over done fashion. There is a decent amount of interaction from the main characters with side characters in the book showing a well-rounded focus rather than a laser focus on just developing the two main characters.
HEARTBREAKER By Logan Chance
What an enjoyable read this was! I could not put it down after I started it and stayed up too late reading. Logan Chance has such a gift for spinning different types of stories. Ones that are full of angst, passionate, with chemistry and great story lines. Catherine Wells is a single mom that has her own landscaping business. Booker has returned to Ferndale to get his past home he inherited ready to sell. He is also known as the “Heartbreaker” with his own website. They meet in a bad encounter that has Cat ready to brain him, second meeting is just as maddening. Pick up this one and dive in, you will very much love it! This is a 5 star story!
Heartbreaker is Booker’s story, you might remember him from Playboy. Booker is going back to the house he grew up in. While Booker getting the house ready to sell, he picked up a job to help a guy Austin to win back his girl, Catherine. Not knowing Catherine is the girl he just hired to do his landscaping and also not knowing she is a single mother. Booker always gets the job done, but this time it was different, he actually gets to know his client, and she is getting under his skin.
The story of Booker was amazing. He is a very complex man, and you just want to wrap him up in a hug and give him your all. Catherine is an admirable character, she is strong and tries to be the best mother that she can be. Their chemistry is a tricky street. They are hot for each other, but yet highly annoyed with each other. So all these emotions are a pot waiting to boil over and they do. The scenes are hawt as hell. And my favorite was Cooper, the little boy that most likely stole everyone’s heart. I loved his character. He is an old soul. This book had situations that I could not have predicted and blindsided me. It’s not what I expected it to be. If you read any book this year, or maybe you are looking for something to read again, this book qualifies.
5 Stars to Heartbreaker by Logan Chance.
Thank you Logan Chance! I bit all ten nails nearly off while reading this book, lol! Hey, don’t misunderstand my complaining; the ache in my fingers is so worth it. For those of you that haven’t read this author yet, you should definitely give him your attention. I have had the pleasure of reading all his books and I can tell you up front, Logan Chance is not predictable. Each book, each trope, each premise he gives is always well-written and well thought out. Logan has the talent to weave many genres of the romance world. Romantic Suspense, erotica, taboo, and comedy all with complex characters that I keep falling in love with. This particular book earned a special place in my heart and is now my favorite Logan Chance book.
Heartbreaker was a book that I fell for in the first pages. Our hero, Booker, was not likable for the first chapters. Let me rephrase that,…his actions were not likable. Even while he was being rude and crude, I had a gut feeling there would be a good reason for it. There was. One I did not see coming, did not even imagine in my broad mind. While it gutted me and broke my heart, I was thrilled because the premise of this book was one I never read before.
Booker has returned to his childhood home to fix up the old, neglected victorian and sell it. Booker can’t get rid of that house and the memories it holds fast enough. His first day in town he meets Cat. Cat is a character with a heart of gold and the patience of a saint. I loved how she could so easily see Booker from the inside. Even though he was rude to her, Cat was able to see that he was hiding dark, tormenting secrets. I was thrilled Booker would end up with someone as sweet as Cat.
Cat is hired to do the landscaping for Booker’s house. The dynamic of their relationship changes, albeit slowly. While they became friends first, Booker and Cat found themselves growing closer to each other and it scared them both for different reasons. Unfortunately their chemistry was so strong, that they found themselves drawn in no matter how hard they tried to keep their feelings in check.
As the story develops, Booker’s past is given to us in snippets. When we finally got the whole story,as I mentioned earlier, I was gutted. At first I couldn’t breath. I literally was surprised. Did not guess at all, not even close. Just wow!
I can’t really say much more in details. I don’t want to spoil any of this book for you. Heartbreaker is one of those books that you will have on your mind a long time after you’ve read it. This author is easily one of my favorites; his books, his writing only gets better and better. I’m happy to have discovered this author. If you haven’t yet, check out Logan Chance’s books. You will not be disappointed. As usual, I look forward to what he gives us next!
This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it.
You’ll never know it’s coming. Love has a way of finding you. The author’s going to make you fall in love
Cat has baggage. A whole bunch, but she’s making her way. A single mom, starting her own business. She’s independent, hard working and self-sacrificing to a fault. And she’s a great mom.
Booker has his own skeletons. He’s a gorgeous, arrogant writer with a website that dishes out love advice.
Booker’s back in the small town of Ferndale, to fix up his old family home, get it sold quickly and get back home to LA. He hires Cat to spruce up the landscaping. But the sizzle between these two is inescapable!
Booker and Cat had the chemistry we all dream about. Booker with his dirty talking and kinky side will leave you hot and bothered. And Cat’s no shrinking violet in the bedroom either. This story has the sweet and the sexy moments that will leave you wanting more. Definitely a top read of 2017!
I have really became a Logan Chance fan. He has won me over with his writing and has not disappointed me yet. This book is really sweet and hot all at the same time. This book made me made me laugh and cry. Loved it and would recommend this to all of my book friends.
