I loved this book and all the characters. I highly recommend reading Easton and Mulaney’s story. It teaches just how important family is and how much we take it for granted. You will love this read!
Mystery abounds in this story! How can you trust your father, when the family business has been sold to another in NY? Why all of a sudden the company has been sold instead of a merger as previously planned? This story is full of mystery, intrigue, accusations, lies, and surprising twists. Grahame Claire puts everything in perspective in the end , with many ” I didnt see that coming! ” moments! Each book in this series gets better. So far, this is my favorite. I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review!
This book is amazing. I hardly took a break once I started reading.! Easton and Mulaney have been in each other’s life for a long time. Their families are friends, they work together, they are intertwined in almost every way. There is a bit of trouble brewing for The Carter’s energy company and they figure out that they must work together instead of against each other and actually communicate to get to the bottom of it.
I think Mulaney is one of the most stubborn heroines ever! She’s a runner. She made me so mad, but I didn’t hate her. I didn’t like her much in the beginning , especially in the way she was with Easton, but I understood her pain. I saw a different side of her with Leona. She’s an amazing aunt. Easton is awesome! He didn’t deserve what Mulaney put him through, but he took it because he knew she was it for him and I think he understood her. It was wonderful seeing The Jacobs family as well as Daniel and Viv again! Ruby is somebody I want to know in real life and Stone, I think he will always be my favorite! I loved seeing and getting to know the rest of The Carter family! Although the Carters need to learn how to communicate better. I hurt for what they are going through. Oh, I can’t forget Ragnor! What a beautifully written animal, I can picture him so clearly! His behavior and the pain I actually felt from him made me cry ! I can’t wait for Carlos and Holly! I hope Carlos will lay a smackdown on Drew! I wouldn’t want to mess with Carlos! Heartbreaker is a wonderfully written book that demonstrates love and loyalty in every capacity! I loved the love, the intrigue, and the growth of all the characters. This is a must read!
“I’ve been patient. I’m not giving up what’s mine. And I’ll do whatever I have to do to keep it. To keep you.”
If you haven’t started the Paths to Love series by Grahame Claire then you really need to. Each book is about a different couple and can be read as standalones but I urge you to read them in order. Really you can’t be a beast and read them all willy nilly out of order. That would be so silly ;0
Easton is a man determined to get his girl, Mulaney is determined to thwart him at every turn but sometimes those feelings that you have buried deep down surface far too often and soon you can’t run away fast enough.
I loved these two so much. Their push and pull and the interactions with the other characters I’ve already fallen for was just so exciting to read. Loved it as I have the other books and can’t wait for more after that ending. Wonder what those other ones are up to?
Such Bad language I couldn’t get beyond the first few pages
Such a great book! I really enjoyed it
Read Heartbreaker first. Enjoyed it. Had to read more by this other. Reading Book 1 right now. Wanted to find out more about some of the character in Heartbreaker
Loved the family closeness. Emotions fantastic.
Read 75%, too predictable, too much sex and not enough adventure
Love this series. Now, on the 4th book and enjoy the way the series intertwines.
This is my first time reading Grahame Claire and im aware its the 3rd book of Paths to love series but im sort of reading the series backwards lol,but oh my Easton and Mulaney sorry had me hooked on first page when Easton awake alone in their hotel room and i was like okay so it one of those sleep with them and run before their woke (one-nightstand)
But no its gets even better and sort of makes you angry with Mulaney because she keeps running from Easton like almost all the time,it mad me cry too,but then you get to see the love she has for *beast* and they trust for one another. And the way she loves her family that when you start to see she just scared of being hurt.I loved Easton and was really pained to see him being rejected by his own ***e but seeing him continue to go after her made me love him even more.Just when you think they have found their redeem boom someone on the side is stirring trouble trying to make everyone not trust each other which immediately made me think Holly was just a wolf in a sheep clothing along with Drew.
But all in all i loved the book so much that immediately bought the first series Its not over to start from the beginning to get to know the other characters in the book found in heartbreaker so far im amazed.
On the last note to the author please can we get the story between leona and luke i was really captured would like to read more on what happened
Thank You
This series is HOT! Loved it.
Did not care for Mulaney’s immature personality. Also had a difficult time believing she could carry such a heavy burden for 22 years. Did not live up to the first book in the series. Give it 3 1/2 stars.
Do not waste your time. It is grueling to get through.
Poorly written, underdeveloped characters and story line. Just silly.
Too many people without introductions. No chemistry between characters.
Great book with a few unpredictable twists!
I liked the role reversal where it was the woman running away from love and the guy chasing her.
Mulaney swore she would never give anyone control over her life again, but she may have done something worse. She has a secret only Easton knows. He took her carefully crafted world and turned it upside down. She gave him her heart, and now her career hangs in the balance. Easton has a secret that Mulaney does not know. He has been respectful and patient. What she calls a mistake, he calls the beginning. Having everything on the line (including the company they built with his family) stops now. Mulaney thinks he will forget about what they did, but all secrets come to light, especially the ones we want to stay buried most. – This book was frustrating. I found out in chapter 41 what Mulaney should have told Easton initially. I enjoyed the tender moments between tem, but they were too few. The mystery was interesting but again frustrating. I was surprised the family did not see what was going in earlier.
Fairly easy to figure out what was going on and what would happen.
Took a bit to get the characters down as I hadn’t read many of the other books in this series. But loved that interaction especially Grandmama.
Love the characters
