“I’ll ruin us,” Jackson whispered to me in the dark. Monsters exist. I’d seen that firsthand. Beautiful faces could hide the most tainted souls, that much I knew for sure. I’d said goodbye to Jackson Parker, desperate to save myself once and for all, but old habits die hard. Every kiss, every touch, every word he’d given me felt imprinted on my skin. But when a monster from the past comes back, … monster from the past comes back, I’ll have no choice but to reveal the secrets from our shared history.
I need Jackson to be my hero, but he has his own scars, and I don’t know if we can conquer the past.
Heartbreak Prince or lover? There’s a fine line between the two.
I once said I would love him forever, but at what price does forever cost?
Maybe my very soul…
The Highly-Anticipated Conclusion to the Broken Hearts Academy Duet

EVERYTHING
This book was just everything.
I don’t know what to write in this review as I feel like my words won’t do it justice so I’m just going to say please, everyone needs to read it. The storyline is outstanding!
Highly recommend!
This book, this book… what can I even say to do it justice? It’s so tragic and so incredibly beautiful and touching at the same time. I’m so ok with the ending even though every step to get there was crazy and intense and owns you and was heartbreaking even though I was ok with it. Such an amazing love story. Every emotion there for me and tears along the way and the end that represented sadness, happiness, and hope.
This duet is the epitome of angst. It goes left, it goes right, it goes in every direction but it’s impossible to put down. Jackson and Everly have a soul consuming kind of love but so many obstacles have been put in there way that’s it hard to separate truth from deceit but Everly has been burned so many times that it’s impossible to recover, especially from Jackson. This is such a great duet and it totally gave me all the feels.
I have never stalked the reaction to a book so hard in my life, I’m crazy about it. I’m only halfway joking… I’m not really crazy. Not like some of the guys in this book. But for real, I feel a deep connection to this book. It’s almost like I spent every day for weeks reading over the authors words as she wrote them. I feel like I was immersed in Everly’s life and felt every emotion she did. Thinking back I can’t come up with a single emotion I didn’t have while reading this book.
Without fail the author had me on the edge of my seat, holding my breath in anticipation of what would happen in the story next. I was able to guess some plot points but some came as a complete and total shock. For example, the extent of the crazy some of the characters in this book displayed. If I ever visit that town I’ll be sure to bring my own water because I sure don’t want whatever they have!
At points I found myself wishing Caiden could be the sweet boy she grew up with. I wanted him to be redeemable so Everly wouldn’t have to experience even more heartbreak over him not being the person she thought he was. But then I would remember how the first book ended and then a fiery rage would consume my body and then I just wanted Caiden to… well… I wanted him to do what he did in the end… Gasp I’m truly a horrible person for saying that. Oh well… And honestly, that was the perfect ending for this story!
Chapter 17 has to be one of my all time favorites that the author has written. And let me tell you how deliciously steamy it was!!! I have always had a huge love for wildflowers but this author has now given me two amazing series to think about every time I see them. The epilogue was also something that will stick with me. Some of those lines are just haunting and have seared themselves into my soul.
Jackson and Everly 100% belong together. We joke about making guys from books our book boyfriends but I honestly can say I haven’t once tried to claim Jackson for my own. I can’t imagine a world where he wouldn’t always belong to Everly completely. I had moments where I was terrified they wouldn’t achieve their HEA, I had to remind myself that C.R. believes in them and I needed to keep going. Lol
This was the perfect ending to this fantastic duet. This couple has been through hell, with so much deception and betrayal by those around them. The struggle continues in this book but the connection is still strong between these two. The air practically sizzles around them. However, they must face many obstacles before they find their happily ever after. This book is dark and deals with some heavy subject matter; although, this author writes this story beautifully. I loved this book and can’t recommend it enough.
HL is the conclusion to this series we get closure on Everly, Caidan, & Jackson. It starts off with a few weeks later since the cliffy in HP; alas, we get the answers to our questions. We meet some new characters & get to witness the obstacles that Everly has to overcome to get the HEA with the help of Lane possibly Caidan & Jackson? All in all, everything happened in quick concession & Everly is still indecisive & naive but not as much as in HL.

We thought we were finally getting ALL the answers to our questions that were left unanswered in HP or so we thought, but, unfortunately, it’s to a couple. What we don’t get are why Caidan is the way he is, how & why Caidan went into a coma but those are a few unanswered questions that’s left to our imaginations.
I’ve been anxiously awaiting this sequel to Heartbreak Prince, and I was not disappointed.
CR Jane has woven another emotionally charged tale with Heartbreak Lover. Everly and Jackson are tangled in a web of lies and deceptions, not knowing who can really be trusted. There’s a struggle to reconcile the childhood best friends with the people they’ve become. There’s so much tension and heartache, wrapped in misery and love. Everly, Jackson, and Caiden are inextricably linked, through happiness and heartbreak. When two brothers are in love with the same woman, does anyone really win?
I flew through this book on the edge of my seat, all the way to the bittersweet end.
“Your name is the only prayer on my lips. The only altar I worship on is yours. I’m sick. But you made me this way.”
Wow! That’s all I got! The emotions that this book elicits are wrenching. I cannot say enough how much I loved this duet! It is flipping fantastic from start to finish. The characters are amazing and the storyline keeps you enthralled. A definite Must Read!

This book. I feel like I’ve been waiting a lifetime.
The saga of Jackson, Everly, & Caiden is complete, and I won’t even lie and say that it didn’t break my heart, because it did.
The love that bloomed, the way the relationships grew & restructured from the despair was a beautiful thing.
I rooted for Everly, she needed a happy ending more than anyone else I could think of.
I can’t say too much, just know that the conclusion of this duet was everything I wanted while also something I didn’t want as well.
All the stars.
Heartbreak Lover is an incredible bully romance, the ugly cry painful, heart wrenching beautiful romance between a broken girl, a demon and the ever occurring devastating past.
Jackson, poor tormented Jackson, he fought against his feelings for so long, and finally finally he gets everything he ever wanted, just for everything to be ripped away, over and over again. Can he finally get his happily ever after, or will he spiral down into the black for good?
Everly has been through more trauma, pain, hospital visits, broken hearts, and abuse than any one person should ever endure in seven life times. Caiden is awake, so will she get her best friend, her lover, or devastation and destruction?
I think it’s safe to say Jackson is no loner the heartbreak prince….. he made me swoon about fifty times during this book lol the This duet is so heartbreakingly beautiful – it’s a must read !! Book 2 was a jam packed with angst, heartbreak, mystery, and heat!!! Your heart breaks for Everly and Jackson and at the same time you feel the love they have for each other no matter what! An amazing conclusion to this duet!!
This book was an epically wild ride from the beginning of the duet to the final words in this book. CR Jane pulls you into the story. You feel all of Everly’s emotions from her doubts to her love. You worry and wonder and second guess each nuanced thing that happens. Jackson and Caiden and Landry each have a role to play again and CR forces them to play their parts to perfection. You’re going to love and hate and want to destroy each of them, but I won’t say which feeling I will attribute to which person. Lol. You’re going to have to read to figure that out! If you haven’t yet, dive in to Heartbreak Prince and prepare for all the feels. You need this duet in your life!
WOW! I have been waiting for months to see how Jackson and Everly’s story would end and it was worth the wait!
CR Jane doesn’t waste any time as we dive right back into this world and see how things will be different now that Caiden is awake. It doesn’t take long for him to try to slot himself back into Everly’s life, but our girl isn’t having any of it.
Jackson and Everly have a wildly simple, yet wildly complicated relationship. One cannot exist without the other, and they’re always orbiting each other. But with Caiden’s reemergence into their lives, everything becomes more complicated. Enemies, betrayal, and demons all come out to play in Heartbreak Lover.
I loved seeing Jackson turn into the man that Everly and I both knew he could be, the one he should have been from the start. You could feel the love he has for her, it was so tangible. Their relationship finally blossomed into the epic romance it was always meant to be.
This is an engaging, climatic read that’ll have you dying for each page. There’s hope and heartache, suspense and high drama. And gosh, the love. The love that’s written in these pages is intoxicating.
Trust me, you do not want to miss out on Everly and Jackson!
This book slayed me in the best possible way. I fell in love with these characters and in the previous book. The vulnerability of the FMC is palpable without making her sound like she’s weak. Au contraire! I loved her backbone, the fight in her and ultimately the way she developed throughout the story.
This book had thrilling suspense, action and gutwrenching emotions. I was sobbing and was so completely at peace with the way this heartbreaking duet was wrapped up. The author did ALL the characters justice. It was exquisite!
Yesssss, a thousand times yesssss to the Broken Hearts Academy Duet!! I have been anxiously waiting for more Jackson and Everly after I finished reading Heartbreak Prince and C.R. Jane did not disappoint. Jackson and Everly’s story broke my heart and this book pieced it back together page by page. This story is full of heartbreak, second chances and new beginnings. I cried I swooned and cried some more in this story and Jackson and Everly is a couple that I will want to reread again and again.
Oh, my heart.
Heartbreak Lover by C.R. Jane is the conclusion to the Broken Hearts Academy Duet that tells the emotional, raw, heartbreaking love story of Jackson and Everly.
Friends since they were eight, Jackson and Everly have always loved each other. But Jackson’s twin brother, Caiden, always seemed to be in the way since he loved her too. Fate, however, linked Jackson and Everly with a timeless, soul-crushing love that prevented either of them from loving another.
Book 2 picks up right where Book 1 ends. A “miracle” has happened that forces Jackson to make hard decisions and creates a whirlwind of fear and mistrust for Everly. That girl! She was put through the wringer so many times even she questioned what she did to deserve it all.
When Jackson learns the TRUTH about the past, he realizes he was wrong about everything and does everything he can to win back the love of his life. Everly fights him the whole way, but even she knows there’s no one else but Jackson for her.
Twists, turns, violence, lies, deceit, steam, and so much love fills the pages of this conclusion. This wasn’t an easy story to read but I FLOVED every single second of it. This duet was so much more than I anticipated and I freaking love when that happens.
And that epilogue? Usually I prefer more details, but the storymode Everly used hit all the feels. I was SO happy Jackson and Everly got their HEA. While the consequences of what happened would always stay with them, they got the ending I hoped for.
ARC provided to me in exchange for an honest review.
She loved them both, they were her saviours. But her relationship with him morphed into something ugly and dangerous, whilst her heart yearned for his brother.
The accident ripped them both from her grasp and left her so so alone.
But now he’s awake, what does this mean for them all..?
Oh wowsers what a devastatingly amazing conclusion to this fantastic duet!
I fell in love with both Caiden and Jackson as young boys. Saving the girl c’mon it doesn’t get much better than that. But that was then..
Now Jackson is constantly fighting the overwhelming darkness that threatens to drown him, and Caiden isnt quite the golden boy everyone thought he was.
Their love for her is all consuming and burns so bright. Its dazzling yet dangerous.
Everly is the girl who’s stuck in the middle, who loves one as a brother and the other as her soulmate. She can’t win and no matter what she does someone is always going to get hurt.
All three characters reeled me in and had me completely and utterly hooked on their story.
I wanted them all to skip off happily together but the more I read the more apparent it became that this wasnt going to be the case and oh boy my heart was heavy when that moment struck.
A truly magnificent duet from start to finish.
All thats left for me to say is, be prepared to fall in love, to scream and shout, and lastly don’t forget to keep the tissues and chocolates close by.
The angst in this book is off the charts. Book two pick up where book one left us hanging and it doesn’t disappoint. It’s intense and heartbreaking and C.R Jane couldn’t have written a better ending to Everly and Jackson’s story. It’s keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting more. A brilliant second installment
What a conclusion!
.
C.R didn’t pull any punches with this book. If I thought book 1 was a hard hitting emotional read, it had nothing on this one! This book was intense. The web went so much deeper than we thought and that ending was bittersweet.
.
I loved every minute reading this book. The highs, the lows were all worth the emotional toll it took to endure it. The passion and intensity between Jackson and Everly was incredible. I’ve loved how tangible and real the story felt. Every second had me at the edge of my seat. Definitely some surprise twists which just seemed to elevate the anticipation level to an all time high.
.
This book deals with very real mental health issues and I’ve loved how delicately written its seemed yet raw also. There are trigger warnings so please read before continuing but I can assure it is well worth the read regardless. I feel wrecked in the best possible way. Jane has written some of the most incredible masterpieces and this is definitely one of them. I didn’t want this to end.
.
This was the most incredible, emotional and tense read full of heartache, longing, passion, manipulation, love and pain. Definitely a story I won’t forget.
This book was preordered the second I was done with Heartbreak Prince. This book made the long wait worth every second. This book picks up right where Heartbreak Prince leaves off.
Once again Jackson, Everly, and Caiden are caught up in their triangle of love and pain. This time we learn how things have never been as they have always seemed. Everly is such a strong, brave, and fierce female character. Her ability to get up and dust herself off is remarkable. Jackson continues to struggle with the loyalty he has for his family, and the love he has for Everly. Caiden love Everly fiercely, and in a way, he hasn’t loved anyone else.
This book is expertly written, and absolutely gutted me several times. I found myself wanting to shut the book so I didn’t have to continue, but desperate to get to the end of the story to know what happens. Every twist, suspense, and revelation will keep you biting your nails to get to the very end.
