When Kate Watts abandoned her law career to open a food pantry in Northeast Minneapolis, she never dreamed it would be this difficult. Facing the heartbreaking prospect of turning hungry people away, she is grateful for the anonymous donations that begin appearing at the end of each month. Determined to identify and thank her secret benefactor, she launches a plan and catches Ian —a charismatic … charismatic hacker with a Robin Hood complex—in the act.
Ian intrigues Kate in a way no man ever has. But after learning he’s snooped around on her personal computer, she demands retribution. Impressed with her tolerance and captivated by her spirit, he complies and begins to slowly charm his way past her defenses. Time spent with Ian is never boring, and Kate soon finds herself falling for the mysterious hacker.
But Ian has enemies and they’re growing restless. In the hacking world, exploiting a target’s weakness is paramount, and no price is too high to stop an attack. And when Kate learns exactly how much Ian has paid, she’ll discover just how strong her love is for the man who has hacked his way into her heart.

I really love this book so much Kate and Ian deliver us a story that will make your heart warm, smile and feel all the love between them on every page and circumstances of this amazing story.
Heart-Shaped Hack is a story that will melt your heart and make you feel good… I didn’t know what the story was about, and where was heading, I went in completely blind and it was so worth it.. not only did I enjoy this book so much, I really love the characters. Ian and Kate were everything that I look in a new story and characters.. they were gentle, funny and the best part is they took their time getting to know each other and falling in love.
“Always choose love. Always choose the adventure. You’ll never regret it.”
Kate is beautiful, polite and strong, she always has a smile and a nice gesture for people that means a lot to her, her relationship history is not the best, but life has a funny way delivering us what we need when we least expected and she wasn’t expecting him, the smart handsome guy who will make her heart soar..
“I’ve never loved anyone the way I love you. But I’ve never hurt anyone the way I hurt you.”
Ian is working very hard, sometimes he can’t sleep or take any rest, sometimes he disappears without leaving any trace or clue where he is at but still he loves his job. he wasn’t looking for anything or anyone, he wasn’t expecting her, he was just doing his job but life brought her to him and now he is determined to get to know more about this beautiful girl that is stealing all his attention and heart ..
I really love this book, it was a beautiful journey, Tracey really captivates us with her way with words.
Very enjoyable. Ian and Kate were both a bit quirky and I love that. Their banter was excellent. I did find myself coming out of the story a lot because the logistics of everything. My brain got going into all different scenarios of how they could/couldn’t be found. I had to keep reminding myself that it was just a book and suspend reality, thus only 4 stars.
Kate gave up her career as lawyer to be a director to a food bank. She loves her job, but it’s hard for her because so many families need essentials, such as food and clothes. She decides to go on television during a news broadcast to raise awareness, and to hopefully receive donations for the food bank. Soon after an anonymous individual leaves a thousand dollars in cash in an envelope at the food bank. This continues to happen, and Kate is anxious to find out who her generous benefactor is. One night she catches the generous soul leaving the cash. His name is Ian, and because he saw Kate on TV, he wanted to help. But he also has an ulterior motive. He wants to get to know Kate because he finds her attractive. Kate isn’t so sure about Ian, who won’t give her his last name, but there’s something about him she finds appealing.
Ian is tenacious when it comes to getting Kate to agree to date him. He finds her at her favorite local café because he followed her purchases on-line. Sounds like a stalker, right? But the way Ian explains his hacking sounds normal. He has his own on-line business, and does undercover hacking work for the FBI, but he’s still mysterious to Kate. Ian thinks of himself as a Robin Hood type figure who tries to help those less fortunate, such as giving money to Kate’s food bank. There’s just something about Ian that’s very appealing to Kate, so she gives him a shot. They go out on dates, and the like. Soon they can’t stop seeing and texting one another. Ian let’s Kate into his life, and opens up to her, even though he’ll disappear for days at a time because of his work with the government.
The overall plot kept my interested until the very end, even with the big shocking twist toward the end.
I loved On The Island by Tracey, so this book was an automatic one-click for me. I was intrigued when I saw that the main character was a hacker. This is my first time reading about a hacker. I was not disappointed. If you are looking for a light sweet romance then make sure to read this book. I really liked both characters, Kate and Ian were so different from each other but fit perfectly. I especially fell in love with Ian, he was this super intelligent hot guy that felt a strong connection to Kate from the first time he saw her. Kate needs a bit of time to give Ian a chance because he uses his hacker skills to get in contact with her. He doesn’t sees anything wrong with how he obtained the information. I really loved his care-free attitude. There will be a book #2 featuring these two characters, and I can’t wait to read it. I am wondering what Kate and Ian will be up to in the next book.
