Judas Coyne is a collector of the macabre: a cookbook for cannibals… a used hangman’s noose… a snuff film. An aging death-metal rock god, his taste for the unnatural is as widely known to his legions of fans as the notorious excesses of his youth. But nothing he possesses is as unlikely or as dreadful as his latest discovery, an item for sale on the Internet, a thing so terribly strange, Jude … Jude can’t help but reach for his wallet.
I will “sell” my stepfather’s ghost to the highest bidder…
For a thousand dollars, Jude will become the proud owner of a dead man’s suit, said to be haunted by a restless spirit. He isn’t afraid. He has spent a lifetime coping with ghosts — of an abusive father, of the lovers he callously abandoned, of the bandmates he betrayed. What’s one more?
But what UPS delivers to his door in a black heart-shaped box is no imaginary or metaphorical ghost, no benign conversation piece. It’s the real thing.
And suddenly the suit’s previous owner is everywhere: behind the bedroom door… seated in Jude’s restored vintage Mustang… standing outside his window… staring out from his widescreen TV. Waiting — with a gleaming razor blade on a chain dangling from one bony hand…
A multiple-award winner for his short fiction, author Joe Hill immediately vaults into the top echelon of dark fantasists with a blood-chilling roller-coaster ride of a novel, a masterwork brimming with relentless thrills and acid terror.

I found the story hard to get into, and the characters not very likeable. I didn’t care what happened to them and didn’t bother finishing the book.
I’ve grown to really appreciate Joe Hill’s unusual brand of horror. This is, I believe, one of his better books.
Amazing writer, and an amazing story!
One of the creepiest books I’ve ever read. Don’t read this one alone. Brrrrr
This is one book that you won’t regret purchasing and reading. The story is solid, interesting and gripping.
By now you’ve probably seen other reviews or read the blurbs to know that Jude Coyne, the main character, buys a ghost online to fit into his collection of weird stuff. What you might not know is that rather than being a random purchase, …
Great book, can’t wait to read more from this author.
Great read with unexpected twists.
Very different and fast moving. A really different ghost story. Well written.
Really enjoyed this book. A great ghost story takes after his dad Stephen King.
Wow! I just finished this last night. It was SO GOOD. One of those books you have to sneak time to read even when you shouldn’t be reading, like when dinner is burning. It seemed like every time I expected one thing, the book went in a different direction – which I loved! If you’d like to get a little creeped out with a good ghost story, read …
It has been a very long time since a book has given me nightmares, but this one sure did!
I originally had the hardback book and loved it so much I had to have it as an ebook as well
A great read!!
I recommend this story. It kept me on the edge of my seat. A real page turner.
Entertaining, but gets a little far fetched.
I have read it twice in past few years and is still riveting!
I rarely give 5 star reviews anymore. However, this one gets it. Hill is a chip off the Stephen King block. Great story to dive into. Good build up and believable characters. I don’t reread books either. But I would this one. Don’t bother with this book if you don’t like King’s books though.
Excellent story and writing. I also read Horns by this author and every book I read by Hill does not disappoint.
I listened to this on audio while working when it was published. I love this book. I read some of his other books and he manages to write without copying the same formula which I like. Probably doesn’t hurt writing rus in the family.
So I kept waiting for the book to get scary but too me it never did. The haunting wasn’t scary it was just weird and sort of sad.
