Even salvation can be delivered through the love of the damned… sin.
Steadfastly devout in her faith, and retaining the deep belief that her soul is innately tarnished as a branded ‘Cursed woman of Eve’, Delilah is determined to find her way home to her people in The Order and away from the corrupt and damned outlaw motorcycle club—The Hades Hangmen—who hold her at their secluded compound for her protection—a ‘protection’ she strongly resents.
Delilah yearns to return home, convinced that only amongst her own people, and under the holy guidance of the Lord’s revealed prophet, can her Satan-spawned soul be truly saved. Conditioned her entire life to believe she is a witch… a life-long temptress… the devil’s whore… Delilah increasingly resents her beautiful face, her shapely body and her sensuous effect on men. But when a man of the motorcycle club—a deeply sinful yet stunningly beautiful man—is charged with her care, Delilah begins to see that this dangerous and moralless sinner from the ‘outside’ may offer her something she did not know could truly exist: unconditional love.
Kyler ‘Ky’ Willis loves his life: a daily abundance of brotherhood, liquor, the freedom of the open-road and—best of all—his pick of hot women. Raised a biker brat and now VP of the most notorious MC in the States, Ky has no shortage of club sluts warming his bed; a situation he takes full advantage of… until a certain blonde enters his life… a gorgeous pilgrim-blonde he can’t get out of his head… a pilgrim-blonde he and his club recently-rescued from some backward religious cult… and a pilgrim-blonde he’s been ordered to keep the hell away from and his whorish hands off.
When yet another in a lengthy line of drunken blunders forces Ky to reluctantly take charge of the pilgrim-blonde’s care, he realizes that there could be more to this woman than just supermodel looks and a stacked set of tits. He begins to see that she could be the woman who could do the impossible—tame his wild ways and capture his reluctant heart.
But the unyielding bonds of Lilah’s past are strong, her ‘people’ determined and, with a new Prophet in charge and hell bent on revenge, they are mightily reluctant to let her go…

Oh, Ky! My dear curt and surprisingly sweet Ky! How can you not love a man who uses “bitch” as a term of endearment? The only reason I didn’t give this book 5 stars is because I got tired of Lilah of always doubting everyone around her. I wanted to grab her by the face and yell at her that it’s okay to be beautiful. UGH!!!! But I get it…it was seared into her mind that her beauty was evil and all that, so I can deal with it. As long as she grows an opinion in later books, I’ll remain in love with the series and the characters 🙂
A 1% MC, GROWING UP IN AN ABUSIVE CRAZY-A$$ CULT AND THE KKK MAKES A GOOD BOOK..
I fell in love with Kyler Willis in IT AIN’T ME, BABE, and I only love him more, now….HEART RECAPTURED is book 2 in the HADES HANGMEN MC SERIES, and, in my opinion, it’s even better than book 1….I love MC books, and I have read A LOT of them….This series has so many “moving parts”, and more closely depicts life in a real MC than many MC books do…and, it’s not always pretty…
Ky fell in lust with Lilah at first sight, but with Ky being, well, Ky (*cough ManWhore)and Lilah, who was raised in an abusive cult (who wants her back)and whose worth has been wrapped up 100% in her beauty…both in positive and negative aspects, their road to love is rough…and Lilah does some drastic (to say the least) things to “test” the authenticity of Ky’s love for her….Throw in the KKK, and you have a good book!!!
This book continues where It Ain’t Me Babe finishes… I was on a complete emotional high after finishing the first book in the series and I didn’t think anything could get my heart beating quite as fast again. How wrong was I?!?
In the first book we learn that Ky is a F**k ’em and leave ’em kind of a guy. A complete manwhore never giving a girl a second thought then he meets Delilah (Lilah) when the MC rescue Mae from The Order at the end of It Ain’t Me Babe. We see the softer side of his character as he becomes enamoured with Lilah. Lilah is completely messed up after being rescued from The Order and in the beginning wants to go back to her people where she feels safe as it’s all she has ever known. Lilah is a Cursed one, sinful daughter of Eve because of her beauty. She and the other Cursed ones are kept separate from all the other cult members as their beauty is said to bewitch the male members in to exploiting their carnal desires.
Ky is completely besotted with her and wants to make her his ‘Old Lady’ but she just thinks that her beauty has again bewitched him and he doesn’t want the person underneath.
I was completely enthralled with Styx and Mae’s story then along came Ky and Lilah’s story and OMG!! I don’t think I took a breath from about 50% onwards. I couldn’t stop reading I had to know everything was going to be OK again… The pain and frustration I felt coming from Ky emanated from him in spades. Tillie Cole completely draws you in to the story. Again the emotions poured from each and every page. I didn’t think the first book could be improved upon in terms of drawing in the reader and holding them captive… I was so wrong. This really is an amazing series that has gripped my heart and ripped it to shreds. AGAIN!!
I adore this series so much!!
What a story
What a book !!!! I m funding this series totally addictive. These got sexy bikers are just brilliant. The Cursed woman (I hate calling them this) must make my heart break. They have been through so much and Lilah made my cry so hard. Lilah and Ky both made me cry there story is so dark and twisted. I was on the edge of my seat throughout this whole book. I thought the first book was good but this book was just had good.
Like I said Lilah is a great character even though she gut me from start to finished. I think this woman has gone through the worst The Order as done so far. I thought they were bad to Mae but they have really worked there evil on Lilah. She believed everything they had done and said was right no matter what Mae and people told she didn’t believe. The Order was what was meant for her and she need them. I hurt so much for this girl she really did think her beauty was the devil, this just upset me. Going bad to her past was heart breaking this lil 6 year old girl was just tortured I just wanted to hold her. The mammy in me really came out in this book.
Ky wow what do I say. This total manwhore is brilliant he is so sexy and he knows it by the way. The woman luv him he is never short of women they hang around for all the time just waiting for his attention and he doesn’t care he know how he looks and using that to get what he wants. But in this book we do get to see a different side to him a more softer side. Lilah was his weak spot this crazy pilgrim girl he couldn’t get enough of. He was told to never get caught up with one woman to have as many had he could hand he has he really had be Lilah was different she got under his skin and he didn’t want her gone.
I can’t say enough good things about this book. Ye its dark and really dark in some parts but it’s what I luv in an MC book. It was written so well the story was just really good I couldn’t get enough I was dying to know what was goin to happen. When I thought things were getting good bang something bad happen. I was on a emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. I would highly recommend this book and a series so far. I can’t for more of this series. I still want to kick myself for not reading this series sooner. I m just glad I finally got around to read it.
I didn’t think that it could get more emotional or intense than It Ain’t Me Babe, but I was soooooo wrong. Damn! Delilah aka Lilah had a much tougher time adjusting to life outside the sick/demented commune she grew up in. Where Mae already had feelings, deep down, that things weren’t right; Lilah was truly a devout believer.
Raised to believe her beauty was a sin and she was evil because the sick perverts of the commune started taking advantage of her as a child, she was deeply tormented and resisted the opportunity to begin living life outside of the commune amongst the heathens that drank and partook in sinful pleasures. She was torn between hating what they stood for and the safety she felt with their VP, Ky.
Ky is the conceited VP of Hades Hangmen MC and best friend to the Prez, Styx. He witnessed what Styx went through when he was reunited with Mae and saw how love had changed him but never expected it to happen to him.
At the end of book 1, it was apparent that there was an attraction between Lilah and Ky, but neither of them expected the outcome for their story.
It was filled with strong love, revenge, internal struggles and all the alpha behavior you can expect from an Outlaw MC’s VP. Another in this serie ms that’s worth more than a mere five stars!!!
Continuing the series, this time we have the story of Ky and Delilah. He, vice president of the Hangmen and she one of the girls rescued at the end of the first book, friend of Mae, one of the Cursed. Because of the events in the other book, the club has become the target of the Cult, which wants revenge for the death of the elders and the return of the Cursed. But the club will not give up the girls, who
are under their protection, and want revenge against Rider for treason. The war is then declared.
Ky from the first book is an interesting character. His loyalty and friendship with Styx is true, his relationship with his sister bordering on the normal, very different from the dark life he lives, and the moment he puts his eyes on Lilah something changes inside him. He wants her madly and will do anything to protect her.
Lilah irritated me. Her story is sad, pitiful, what she has faced since childhood is monstrous, but her religious fanatic attacks annoyed me. It’s easy to see that a repeated lie often turns out to be true, but she thinks the Hangmen who saved her are the real evil, and that she wanted to go home is disturbing to the extreme. All the time she spent at the club, reciting scriptures whenever one of them approached, criticizing and upsetting everything, made me angry at her. Impossible for a person to live in hell so long and not realize that anything is better than life before.
When she was finally captured, I could not be sorry. It took a lot of suffering for her to finally realize that she was being lied to all this time. I was sad for Ky, who did not deserve to go through this, to see the woman who loves being brutalized.
The end, where she ends up freaking out and “undoing her beauty” was shocking, but again she did not touch me. I found her trajectory very well written, this ending was particularly important for the release of the character, but in the end I found her more psychotic than a tragic girl. Ky deserved a better mate. Lilah was the female protagonist that I least enjoyed in the series. Her anger at Mae because she ran away and managed to find some happiness in the midst of everything that passed, was what I needed to hate her.
Once again the book is well written, the reader will focus on more of the story and yearned for the next.
Getting ready for Damnable Grace I listened to Heart Recaptured and to say I am loving these audiobooks is an understatement, the voices are so perfect for these characters and listening to these books has been exciting.
Again we are taking into the world of the Hades Hangman MC and the Commune where the girls are from, this is the story of Ky and Delilah, Ky is the club slut and Delilah to me is the really lost and confused sister of the cursed with Mae and Maddi.
I don’t even know where to start with Ky he for me is a funny character he makes me laugh without meaning to I think, all his life all he wanted was booze, the MC and girls and he really didn’t care. He lived for his club and nothing changes for him until he upsets Delilah and becomes her guide in a way and see how she lived in the commune. I really did love Kys character and he was perfectly written.
Delilahs character was so different to Maes in It Ain’t Me Babe, Mae wanted to escape the commune where Delilah only knew her faith and the Commune, she didn’t even know that the outside really existed and didn’t know how to survive. Then Ky was in charge of Delilah and too show her the outside world. Delilah I felt struggles the most out of all the girls and after you have read this then you can see why. It takes a long time for Delilah to adapt to the outside world and she has a very hard road to get her there.
Just like the first book this book was perfectly written and how Tillie Cole writes these different characters and their backgrounds with such crude language and then with it felt like old English is just amazing.
I loved that even though their was a lot of Dark, Tille know’s how to balance the romance so its not to sweet, but sweet enough we can feel the main characters falling in love.
I also loved how we get snippets of Prophet Cain and what is happening with Commune, it makes for the story to be exciting and getting you excited for the next books in the series as well.
This story packed such a punch, I was never bored there was so many things going on and you couldn’t ask for anymore in a story, there was sex, violence, and it’s a beautiful story in a way. This is a dark romance but I wouldn’t want in any other way.
This is one of the best MC series that I have read and love everything about it.
5 humongous stars for this baby love love love this book.
Well . . . . once again I am left struggling with this review. Things that happen between these pages are so hard to explain without ruining the entire story, and you seriously do not want me to do that.
I have to say, I love Ky!
“she didn’t know who she was without her faith…funny, ’cause I didn’t know who the fuck I was without her.”
So we already know who these two are from the first book, but this one goes deeper into the cult crap that Lilah and the sisters have had to endure.
Ky . . . . Simply put is a whore. A very loud, out there and proud whore who has the attention of any and every woman who comes his way. I mean his (thanks to his Dad) moto say’s it all;
“Pussies are to be licked good and fucked hard – never worshipped.”
Well, that is until Lilah takes up residence in his head and heart and brings out another side in him.
Out of the three “cursed” sisters, Lilah is the one who holds onto her faith and everything the commune stands for, and she struggles to adjust to life outside. She cannot accept what Mae is telling her of how fake the commune truly is and that she is not “Cursed”. She is convinced someone will be back for her as long as she holds tight on the beliefs that were forced upon her.
When Styx asks Ky to protect and teach Lilah the way of the Hangmen, things progress quickly, while she still finds it hard to let go of her faith, Lilah starts to come out of her shell and starts to warm up to the outside world and Ky.
No matter how much Ky tried, or how much Li love’s him, she never fully believed it to be true. Ky’s attraction to her cement the brainwashed bullshit that she is cursed and will never be loved for more than her looks, that he was under her spell from the devil, and it takes a monumental, and heart wrenching, moment to make her see the truth.
*sigh* This book has some hard times, some things that are hard to read and leave you wondering how someone survived what Li did, her journey is tough, a lot tougher then what we saw with Mae, but with all the bad, there is always the good, the hope, the love, and Ky
Alright, gotta go, Flame is waiting
I….. Wow I …. OMG … I don’t even know! That was some of the most dark, disturbing, and twisted stuff I have ever read. This book just gutted me. Talk about emotional. This book made me look at the disturbing aspects of humanity at it’s worst. Because the fact of the matter is this kind of stuff really does happen. Lilah and Ky’s story was heartbreaking, gut wrenching, but also beautiful.
Ky was awesome. I laughed so hard at the fact that he called everyone the b word. He was crude, and a total man whore, but I loved him. When he fell for Lilah he fell hard. He stopped his hoeing ways, and loved her completely. He did everything he could to protect her, teach her, free her, and make her happy. Lilah, God my heart broke for Lilah. She was so messed up in the head. So brainwashed, so miserable. Every time she would get a little courage and take one step forward something would happen and she would take two steps back. It was hard to read. The things that happen to her. God it’s one thing after another. Then when she got kidnapped by the cult again. THAT WAS SO hard to read. To read in detail of her being raped over and over and beat, burnt, tortured. I had to stop so many times. Then when Ky saves her sees what happened to her and loses it……I was Gutted! Then the fallout after she was saved. OMG! They broke poor Lilah. She was so broke. Hell I almost broke just read it. And telling myself she isn’t a real person didn’t help at all, because all I could think was this is happening somewhere in the world right now. Truly some of the hardest stuff to read.
And Cain, that no good pos Cain. God I hate him. He knows he is a fake, he knows it. He lets them evil pos rape women and children, have orgies, murder, and torture innocent victims all so he can look good and get a chance at having Mae for himself. He makes me sick. I mean God I hate him! I don’t know what Tillie Cole plans of writing about him because there is nothing that can redeem that man in my eyes. Nothing! He could cure cancer and would still be an unredeemable. I just don’t see how I could forgive him for all the evil.
I loved getting more of Mae and Styx in this book. Flame and Maddie I can’t wait to start their book. I loved ever bit of Flame. I know his book is gonna rock, cause he is amazing character. Though this book was dark, and boy was it dark I loved it. It was gripping, sad, beautiful, and riveting. This series will forever be etched in my memory. Well I am on to Flames book. I hope there isn’t to much Cain in that book, because I just don’t know how much more of Cain’s butt I can take before I snap. Just sayin’
It’s Hangman Hades cont’d. Part 2.
still as riveting, still as frustrating still as sexy hot.
the Cult has its claws deep inside their ‘Cursed’ followers and no matter how much Ky tries to smoothe away the pain and torture with his love, Lilah feels unclean , Dirty and unworthy of him. The struggle is uphill in Salvation versus Freedom. Lilah is so lost in her mind and confused in the outside world that she refuses to accept unconditional love from Ky or Mae. Her tryst back with the Zion and subsequent torture and branding opens her mind finally and her spell is broken.
Very good book
