Interesting storyline, likeable heroine, and best friend too
Likeable heroine, interesting storyline. Erotic episodic moments between heroine and her husband, adding element of sex. Quick read. First book I’ve read by the author, will read more.
Vickie has decided to become a private eye but her husband said not without training so they hire a trainer and she and her friend Ruby. One day she hits the trainer so hard he doesn’t get up, when Vickie tries to help him she hears something strange and decides to investigate. The closer she gets to the truth the more danger she is in. I wasn’t as engrossed in this story as I was the prior book but it is still good.
This was an ok addition to the series. I didn’t much care for Vickie or Ruby. Their deduction skills were really lacking.
This is a good book. I enjoyed it.
This is the second book in this series and I figured I give it one more chance. We get to see Vicki (a character we see in the first book) and her best friend Ruby start their P.I. Business and in preparation for it Vicki’s Husband wanted her to take a self-defense class. (Points for him caring for her safety) It was a bit better than the last book but I am thinking SteamPunk Romance isn’t my genre. But it was enjoyable to read.
Vickie and George are a married and not really seeing a whole lot of promise with their marriage.
Vickie decides to open private eye business and George wants her to do it but he wants her to get lessons on how to protect herself. So this is where the store gets good. Her best friend Rudy partner in crime goes with her so shes not doing it alone. This is were the adventure starts and her marriage gets better and well just read the book you wont be sorry.
Another great installment to the series. I loved Vicki in book one and I think she made me fall in love with her all over again. It is very fascinating to see a woman taking what she wants and kicking butts while she is at it especially with the century this book is set in. And do not get me started on Vicki’s best friend Ruby. Those two together are a bunch of laughs and a lot of mischief. A great book and definitely recommended.
