Okay, maybe hijacking an alien commander’s warship wasn’t her best idea… save the Earth from invasion by the insectoid Kantos aliens. That includes entering into a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the tall, hunky, and seriously enraged Eon war commander who captains the Rengard.
War Commander Malax Dann-Jad is a born protector and has forged a successful career in service to the Eon Empire. Haunted by an early mission where he lost good warriors, he’s dedicated to protecting his ship and its crew. Especially since his warship is carrying a special, top-secret cargo. But one tiny, infuriating Terran puts all that at risk when she commandeers his ship and refuses to listen to reason.
When the ravenous Kantos set their sights on the Rengard–using sneaky, underhanded tactics–Malax finds himself with an armful of curvy woman. He and Wren must join forces to fight back, and are shocked at their improbable, intense attraction. But with lives at risk, both will learn that strength comes in more ways than one and love can hit when you least expect it, and that in order to survive, you have to put everything on the line.
Includes a preview of Galactic Gladiators #1, Gladiator.

Heart Of Eon is book three in the Eon Warriors series by Anna Hackett.
Here we move onto Wren, the baby sisters, to Lara and Eve. Wren is not a warrior/soldier like her sisters. She’s a computer wiz/hacker in the family. That doesn’t stop Earth’s Corp from blackmailing her too and having her steal an Eon Warship full of Eon Warriors.
Wren is brave, bright, and a woman with heart. She’s doesn’t kick ass like her sisters, but she can do things with a computer that most can’t.
Malax, War Commander of the Rengard, the ship that’s been hijacked by Wren. He needs to get control back of his ship even if he is intrigued by the small human who’s hiding on his ship and running rings around him and his crew.
I had a lot of fun with this one and I really like that we get a regular woman, one who has no special soldier training, becoming a mate to an Eon Warrior. I like Wren and that she is different from her sisters and determined to save Eve, even if it’s no longer needed. The way she sneaks onto the ship, takes control, and keeps the Eon Warriors running around, was a lot fun. There is no shortage of action, battles, surprise’s, and fun banter. I enjoyed the banter between; Wren and Malax, which is a prelude to them hooking up and becoming mates. The romance was sweet and fun.
Heart Of Eon was another fabulous read in the series and I can’t wait for more. Anna Hackett is a must read for any Science Fiction Romance fans. She has a way of pulling you into the world, characters, story, and romance.
** This series should be read in order.
Rated: 5 Stars
Wren Trevynor will do anything to protect her sisters, including hijacking a Eon Warship. When the Kantos attack though she has to team up with the War Commander and protect the crew. What she doesn’t expect is to fall for the big grump.
Wren isn’t like her sisters. While her sisters pursued military careers Wren chose technology and hacking. I liked Wren because while she isn’t a fighter she still uses wield technology like a weapon. She was smart, determined, and a little clumsy. Malax Dann-Jad is an alpha male who is frustrated and intrigued by Wren. She gives him the run around and constantly surprises him with her ingenuity. Malax did feel very similar to the previous War commander but I still liked him.
I am very interested in seeing how the alliance with Earth is going to continue to play out. The Kantos are also stepping up their game on attacking the Eon. The battles keep getting more intense with each book. My favorite part of this book was probably Sassy though. I really hope she appears in future books because I loved how, well sassy, she was.
Wren is my kinda girl. Geek to the core and a bit of a klutz! But whereas I’m technology averse she is at her happiest with all things tech! So it was a no-brainer that she would take over Malax ship with ease! She keeps locking the crew out of various systems and being a pest but when her hacking compromises not only her mission but the safety of the crew, she realises she may have gone a teeny, tiny bit too far.
Malax at turns wants to strangle or kiss Wren. He is not used to people standing up to him, never mind fascinating him. She just won’t listen when he tells her that her sisters are safe and happily mated, well her sisters aren’t the settling down type according to her. yeah, but that as before the Eon males were let loose on them!
And Sassy…well she is very aptly named. I need this in my life! I loved the merging of human ingenuity and Eon tech too. Add in epic space battles, stand offs with the baddies and more than a little hint of the future En books to come and I’m one happy camper!
No less action in this sci-fi romance. Still soaking up this series, loving every book so far. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
But Wren is really driving Malax nuts. She’s managed to hijack his ship, and none of the warriors can find her. Throw in some close calls, the Kantos, crashing onto an abandoned planet and more Kantos. Definitely not a boring read. Wonder who is next now that we’ve had the last Traynor sister.
Another action packed story from a favorite author. I really like Wren. She’s smart, funny, caring and just great. I am a fan of Sassy!
I also like War Commander Malax.
The Kantos give me shivers. I hope they will be soundly defeated, after a few more books.
Heart of Eon is the third book in the Eon Warriors series. Wren is comfortable in her lab and with technology, but when she gets the chance to save her sister in exchange for high jacking an Eon warship, she does it. War Commander Malax has some big problems, and his human is high up there. When the Kantos set their sights on his ship, Wren and Malax will have to learn to work together, but will their passion become too much of a distraction?
Phew, I loved this book! Might be my favorite of the three so far! Wren and Malax are full of adventure, tension, passion, protective tendencies, and a whole lot of love! I adored Wren! She had a tendency to get into trouble, but she was able to use her smarts, and her super advanced new friend, to help out in any situation. While she wasn’t a warrior in the traditional sense, I loved all of the ways that she was able to fight back and protect those she loved. Malax had the weight of the world on his shoulders, but I loved his protective nature, I loved that he tried to push Wren away, and I loved that he quickly fought to get her back! So good! There’s so much fun banter between them, steamy tension, I loved how well they worked together and I loved their passion. Really, I just loved this whole book. Sassy was a fun addition, too! I can’t wait to see where this series goes next, but I know that Wren and Malax will hold a special place in my heart!
Loved this book. Lots of fun, laughs and love. Supporting characters were also awesome. Can’t wait for the next one!
Anna Hackett never fails to please. The characters are appealing and the story entertaining.
Wow, I love the way Ms. Hackett has portrayed the female main character, Wren. She’s feisty, snarky, and sassy; my favorite type of heroine. Will she tame the big bad commander? Check it out for yourself. You’ll be glad you did. So good…
This is the best couple in this series so far. I loved their dialogue. The action, world building and the steaminess between the couple was awesome. Loved it and am so looking forward to more in the series

I may be biased, because Anna Hackett is a 1 click author for me but this book was so good! Wren is a snarky, funny, no filter computer geek & I love her. Malax is Commander of the ship she hijacked & he is not happy. They have a bit of back and forth (fore play) before they work together against a common enemy, the Kantos. Both Wren & Malax have pasts that are clouding their actions but manage to work through it. This is the 3rd book in the Eon Warriors series & I thought it would be the last. But, nope, Anna introduced some new kickass characters & another book will be our later this year! The only downside, the book won’t be out until later this year, lol. I highly recommend this book. If you haven’t read the 1st two books, read them 1st. Anna is awesome at building worlds & characters and you won’t be disappointed!
This series is good. I enjoyed reading it and it moves along so smoothly. It wouldn’t be a romance without sex, but the author hits the perfect balance of action and romance.
And I loved the addition of Sassy.
You’ll have to read it to find out what Sassy is.
This can be read as a stand-alone, but it is even better if the series is read in order. This has all the elements that readers have come to expect from Ms. Hackett’s books: action, humor, adventure, twists, surprises, a capable heroine, a strong hero, and romance. There are aliens, space travel, and advanced technology. There was so much excitement in this book, that I was left amazed and speechless! I highly recommend this story and the whole series to anyone that enjoys lots of story with their romance.
I enjoyed reading this book , the storyline is entertaining and is filled with action and intrigue. The interaction and chemistry between Wren and Malax is wonderful. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book a a FREE ARC copy and I voluntarily leave this review.
I have waited this book eagerly and hopefully not too long, as I read the two previous books in this series just few days ago.
It is the perfect action-packed-big-protector-sassy-heroine read.
Mrs Anna Hackett has created a great couple with Malax as the perfect champion, never he tried to overpower Wren even when she turned his ship upside-down. He guards and defends even against herself, plus he does not fight his feelings when he understands what they meant.
Wren is like I do prefer my heroine, clever and resourceful, not necessarily a skilled trooper but someone who fights with her own devices and does not give up.
Sure, it is such en entertaining thing to see some women kick alpha male’s asses but I adore when they butt head instead of clashing weapons, when they complete another rather than being similar.
Of course their meeting is incredibly hot, they clash but they surrender to their attraction, attraction which evolve with these Eon Warriors quickly to something deeper and stronger.
I adored this read with a little less frenzy battles and more interacting moments.
Wren rocks in her own way and Malax takes the plunge hard.
Can’t wait to see the Eon Warriors and their King falling for the Earthlings.
Muscles, height and strength? That was not her thing. But brain, wit and decision? Wren had lots of that! After her bad experience with a cheating boyfriend, she didn’t trust easily and with her mission better to keep her eyes open wide. The Terran woman was a challenge for War Commander Malax Dann-Jad. More than he had expected and with the Kantos deadly threat upon them he had to be careful, protect and try not to lose his focus and his heart. Action, action and more action in this intense story of the youngest of the Traynor girls. Liked her character, the scary scenes, the suspense and of course, Sassy! Thrilling, amusing and passionate book that I enjoyed and still there is more to come.
This is a great series for fans of syfy romance and of the first three, I think this is my favorite. Wren is a bit different than her sisters (books 1 & 2) in that she is not athletic, graceful or strong. But what she lacks in these areas, she more that makes up for in the smart geek department. Malax, our hero has his hands full with someone who needs all his protective instincts (this woman could trip on a line painted on the sidewalk!) to keep her safe. Another winner and I’m really looking forward to the next in this series. Enjoy!
Full of chills and thrills!
Watching Wren outmaneuver a ship full of Eon warriors is seriously fun, until the Kantos take advantage of the situation. First, allow me to say these are some of the nastiest creatures I’ve ever ‘encountered.’ Attracted to the Eon’s helian symbiont, they are relentless in their pursuit. Amid the battles, the connection between Wren and Malax grows stronger. Do read this edge-of-your-seat thriller / romance. It’s packed with excitement, battles of all sorts, romance, feats of derring-do, and a grand finale that leaves us with a hint of possible future stories. I loved every second of it!
DISCLOSURE – On a volunteer basis I reviewed a free pre-released copy via the author.
An enthralling page-turner read with admirable characters, humor, fiery passionate romance, awesome vivid scene descriptions, horrific life-threatening moments, a few surprises, and a fabulous HEA for the hero and heroine.
Wren an audacious sexy tech genius steals control of an Eon warship. War Commander Malax finds it fascinating that an Earth female has the courage to hijack his ship. Malax’s desire for her flourishes in the midst of battling murderous aliens. Together they face a few undesirable hurdles before reaching their happy ending.
Thrilling plot that kept me fixated until the conclusion. Malax and Wren’s chemistry is true and their witty banter is quite entertaining; a perfect match. I love how the author portrays powerful women in an alien world. I found this to be a most entertaining read.
Be still my heart! The non-stop action had me on tinder hooks. Wren certainly knows her stuff. I loved her wit and determination. She is quite cheeky and beyond feisty. Poor Malax didn’t know what hit him! Got to say I need a helian-enhanced tablet in my life. This is a great read. Full of action, suspense and heat. I received an advanced copy of this book and freely leave this honest review.
