After all, Jordan will be returning to Canada before long, won’t he?

This was a great start to a new series! Heart of a Prince is the first book in The Crowns and Courtship series by Carol Moncado. In this series, we get to follow a new set of royals. Astrid is the Crown Princess of San Majoria and her life is constantly in the spotlight. She goes away for a couple of days to recharge and refresh, but her vacation is interrupted by a surfer who manages to wiggle his way into her heart. Jordan is in need of a vacation, never did he imagine that he would fall in love and end up married to a Crown Princess.
This was a really good read, I loved seeing new characters and getting to know Astrid and Jordan. Astrid was a really strong woman, she wanted to be a good Princess and a good mother. But she had a lot of weight on her shoulders, she had to gain for her daughter and complete all her duties for the crown. I loved that she could be herself around Jordan. I felt so bad to Astrid, she felt broken and it would be a while before she would let him in.
Jordan was trying to just get his life back to normal. But God has other plans and he finds himself spending time with a princess. This princess stole his heart but he never thought that their relationship would last. However when he finds himself married to Astrid, he knows that it will be his job to help make sure that it works.
I really liked Jordan, he was a really nice guy. Although his marriage to Astrid didn’t start out with love, he still worked at it and tried to be a good husband to her. He cared for Astrid and I really enjoyed reading about him playing with Sofia. He was a great husband and he loved being a father to Sofia. However things aren’t going to be easy for Astrid and Jordan, secrets have a way of changing things. Marriage is something you have to work through and Astrid and Jordan had a lot to overcome.
It was so cool to see a new family and I am so excited to read more about the San Majoria royal family. I loved the family aspect that A Heart of a Princess had. A Heart of a Prince was a wonderful beginning to an exciting series. I can’t wait to read The Inadvertent Princess! Carol Moncado is now one of my favorite authors!
Author Carol Moncado weaved her story of modern-day love and courage amid the private and public situations inside palace walls. Reading and listening to this book was a most enjoyable opportunity. Recommend!
Beautiful
This is such a beautiful story about love and the gift of giving. That is one thing I have always thought was wonderful.
This is the first book I have read by Carol Moncado and I enjoyed the setting in the Royal House. This story draws you in with plenty of suspense and intrigue along with a nice romance. Plan to follow this author.
A great good-feeling read. 🙂
I tried to finish it but finally decided to end it . It just didn’t grab me. It might appeal to a younger reader. Teen age group.
Easy,entertaining read.
Sweet story.
Loved it
I loved the characters in this wonderful book!!!
Enjoyed this book!
I’ve had a transplant so want to encourage every one to be a donor.
I enjoyed this book very much! Although the likelihood of this ever happening is very small, it was the first book I have read that really deals with donor/transplants. I found it both interesting and charming. I was an easy read that I would recommend to others.
It was a really good read.
One thing I enjoyed about this hearwarming book was the characters working through some of the issues of transplants.
The book reflected the true nature of how love is sometimes conflicting because of past hurts and people’s unwillingness to sometimes embrace love a second time. Also the element of surprise which made the title an apt one despite the play on words.
Good, creative, will read again. Not a must-have, but a will-enjoy
I loved it –so sweet —-no murders or shooting –all fairy tale sort of story –really enjoyed it.
easy to read, hard to put down, has you wanting to know more….
Delightful, fun novel takes us with a princess navigating life and love in today’s world. The characters come to life. Each person has his own strengths and weaknesses, which make the book feel very real. I even googled some of the locations to be sure they were fictitious!
