Never steal from a gargoyle…or challenge him to seduce you.Beaumont prides himself on his stellar fae kill record, but his life is upended when a feisty, human female challenges him to seduce her and steals his spirit-embedded stone. He’s on a quest to save his soul, yet this woman makes him harder than a rock, and for a guy who spends his days encased in granite, that’s saying something.Crafty … something.
Crafty and swift, Sadie learned to pickpocket from the best mentor ever—need. After she runs across a tall, sexy gargoyle and steals his most valuable possession, she’s up against more than can she handle. As he hunts her down to retrieve his precious stone, he stirs a passion she didn’t know existed…and can’t resist.
Gargoyle Night Guardians protect human souls from the evil clutches of dark fae. Be careful, though, gargoyles aren’t your average hero for within each guardian rests a questionable soul, one ripe for redemption and eager to become worthy of what we all crave—love.

I’ve just recently become an avid fan of gargoyles and this book is one I love! Beaumont is the first gargoyle we will get to know. He has a story from centuries ago and it still haunts him. On a routine hunt with his friends, he runs into Sadie, saving her from a dark fae. Her repayment to him is to steal his heart stone. I hated her justification, but I liked that she helped him every time. Beaumont has to deal with trying to find this thief and get his stone back, all within a couple of days. He also will be betrayed by someone he trusted to help the gargoyles. This is the beginning of an exciting series that will give the Warriors of Lemura series a run for the money, and it was fantastic. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.

Entertaining and unique ideas, and the writing is pretty good. Loved the gargoyle aspect, and the Fae stuff is interesting. There’s some cool action scenes too. Beaumont is a gargoyle that protects humans from evil Fae, but when petty thief, Sadie, steals his spirit stone, his days may be numbered. Without the stone, he’ll perish. When he first saw Sadie, there was an attraction and pull between them, but both have their own issues with intimacy. The quest for the stone ends up being a lot more complicated than Beaumont thought. Loved Beaumont’s protective nature; he’s a sweetie of a gargoyle. I wasn’t a fan of Sadie; she was a bit too pity party for me, and her thieving ways didn’t endear her to me. She has had a tough life, but I prefer a more admirable character that has a stronger desire to do right; she has a bit of that, but I didn’t feel like she tried hard enough to better her situation. The romance does have some steam and they do have a good connection. Overall, it’s a sweet connection. I do want to read the next book; sounds like it’ll be a good, interesting premise. This book was a fun read with some cool ideas, so I ended up doing a 4 star rating.
Beaumont was made a gargoyle when he died because his fiancée was having an affair with his brother and she lied about who killed her and his brother. Him and his fellow gargoyles had to watch and save the humans from the fae. One night after Beaumont save Sadie a theft from the fae she hit him and stole his heart stone and sold it. He cornered her a few times but he had to fight the fae and lost her, finally she told him what she did after he told her what would happen if he didn’t get it back. But Gabriel bought it and gave it to the fae leader Marco to prove his loyalty. Beaumont fell in love with Sadie even though he was dieing. They finally caught up with Gabriel and found Sadie’s sister too. Marco threatened Beaumont he was going to crush his stone, but Sadie helped him get it back. He let Gabriel live even though he was bad, so then Beaumont became human since he passed his test. Him and Sadie stayed together and Hannah too.
Well worth reading!
Another amazing worldbuilding series from Rosalie Redd! Very intriguing characters and storylines. I love that it has no cliffhanger from Beaumont and Sadie’s story but leaves me wanting more from this series.
This was the first book i’ve read from this authir abd i was pleasantly surprise by her work. Gargoyles are one of my favorites shifters stories, so it was the reason why i wanted to read this story at first. Now i’m so glad i did. It was an amazing read. No need to write a blurb of the story, you just have to grab this one and enjoy a good read. Ican’t wait to see what happens next in this series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am volontarily leaving a review.
Fast-paced fighting action with lots of heart
4.5stars
Gargoyle shifters are a new favorite of mine and author Rosalie Redd’s story gives these stone shifters a solid, elevated purpose and a mystique that I really enjoyed.
Beaumont, the centuries-old gargoyle hero, is a really sympathetic character, for me even more so than human pickpocket Sadie, the troubled human who puts his continued existence in dire danger but fills him with thrilling attraction. There’s some intense fighting against the malevolent fae and their minions, and the romance between Beaumont and Sadie builds to some steam and touching self-sacrifice worthy of an O. Henry story.
I also liked the worldbuilding aspect of the story, which was clearly described yet had some more nebulous aspects that eventually work in Beaumont’s favor. Altogether an exciting and emotion-stirring, standalone with no cliffhanger!
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Heart Bandit did it for me…it stole my heart, breath and soul! This is the BEST beginning to a new series I possibly could of imagined. Heartfelt, unique, crazy interesting and sexy too, this story had such amazing descriptions and played out brilliantly in my head the whole time I was reading it.
Beaumont and Sadie’s chemistry was OFF THE FREAKING CHARTS! I loved Beaumont’s charm, protectiveness, kindness and his honor ever so much while Sadie’s spirit, vulnerability, beauty and kindness had me wanting to reach in the book and hug her as well as befriend her. The moment these two meet, I saw the sparks fly and romance bloom like a beautiful rose. The scenes were just as magical, intense, and spectacular too. This new Gargoyle Night Guardians series intrigue me and I am already anxious to read the next book.
Heart Bandit gets a WONDERFUL FIVE HEARTFELT STARS!
Sadie and Beaumont’s story, and the world built in this book is fascinating. I thoroughly enjoyed the backstory of how gargoyle’s came to be. So looking forward to more in this series.
Got a free copy. This series is great and can’t wait for next in series. I read in one day. I couldn’t put it down for being soooo good. Love gargoyles and this is a favorite now. Great job on this read, Rosalie.
