With strength comes dependence.I thought I had it all.The Title. The Pro status. The man.I thought I’d finally left the past where it belonged, thought the future would be nothing but a bright ray of light with Knox by my side.I was wrong. In seeking answers, I opened the doorway to a terrifying, psychotic ride no one was prepared for. And through that very door, the past -both his and mine- … past -both his and mine- somehow wove its way as one and slithered back into our lives, creating a fresh hell that stirred doubt and resentment within us.
Will our bond, our love, be strong enough to supersede the forces threatening to break us, or will we swiftly crumble to the ground, piece by piece?
**Hear Me Roar is the second installment in The Bloodshed Duet. It is not a standalone and should be read after I Am Lioness.
Due to strong language, explicit sexual situations, and some scenes that may cause triggers or emotional distress, this book is intended for mature audiences only.

Welcome back to the world of Knox and Hazel. When we left these two they were moving in together. Hazel was still mourning the loss of her coach, and stand in father. She also had to look into where his daughter, Maya, was so that his will could be delivered to her…..
In enters Maya. She left her father many years ago to be with a man that he did not like. Dimitri was 15 years older than her and her father did not approve of the relationship. Maya chose Dimitri over her father. It was not too long after the wedding that she seriously regretted that decision. Dimitri was an all-around bad guy. In addition to his illegal money making activities, he was also a wife beater. Maya was finally ready to get away from him. So she asked for help from the only person she could think of that was not in with her husband. When Maya asks Hazel for help, despite Hazel not being Maya’s biggest fan, she feels like she has to help her. Not only because it’s the right thing to do, but because Bernie (Maya’s father) would have wanted her to. So they take Maya in and help her escape her abusive husband.
This story is drama packed! There is not only the issue of the abusive husband wanting her errant wife back, but you learn something quite interesting about Reyna. Luis gets into some trouble of his own. Knox has an ex-girlfriend that tried to push her way back into his life. A new love begins to blossom with another character (I’m not saying who). I loved how there were many other outside stories going on with the supporting characters. It’s great to see how Hazel, who had no family before, starts to build her own family with the people of her choosing. This is a great story with a lot of love, great characters, a bunch of drama and a bit of suspense thrown in.
I have been waiting for this book and finally after having it in my hot little hands this book did not disappoint. Hazel and Knox already had hold of my heart from book 1 in “I am Lioness” but nothing prepared me for how much these two would rip open my heart to a barrage of emotions. The title of this book is Hear Me Roar and believe me you will definitely hear both of these characters as they fight for each other. I am an absolute lover of romance books and this one is the epitome of just that. This story is full of drama, revelations, self discovery and lets not forget the hot and steamy scenes that only Knox and his kitten can provide us with. Knox and Hazel had my emotions at the highest point, these two made me smile, made me laugh, they made my heart swell with love and they made me cry. Their story is a “no holds barred” kind of love and is nothing less than five well deserving stars.
