Fear keeps the truth away from his brothers. Fear and pain keeps him away from the man he loves.Hawks MC member Maddox “Beast” Lawson had a difficult time growing up. Tired of being ridiculed because of his effed-up brain-to-mouth connection, it was easier to say nothing at all. Living in silence worked out just fine until that b*tch called Fate took his hearing, not only that, but she also threw … but she also threw him into the arms of the man who refuses to acknowledge that one hot night they shared.
Jay Conger, Knife to his brothers, loves pussy. Licking, fingering, screwing, he’ll take it any way it’s offered. After one surprising night with Beast, to say he’s freaked out is an understatement. Hell, even bananas have taken on a new meaning, and thinking about a certain someone’s body is too much. Unable to think straight, Knife is at an impasse, not only with his traitorous desire but with his heart.
Both lives are going to change. Only will it be for the better?
Please note: This is book #5 in an MC spin-off series, but can be read as a standalone. It’s more of a light read and based on the hero finding his love interest than club business.

There are not enough words to explain the love I have for this story. The struggles are real. The emotions are deep. The drama is on point. Beast and Knife are perfect together. They have known each other, and been best friends, for years. There is no awkward, getting to know you stage. But the ‘am I really this person’ discovery hits hard. Their story is full of twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages, desperate to know what happens. A must for all the fans!!
I could not put this book down!! I read it in about a day. I was actually becoming sad when I knew the book was close to ending. I was capture from the very first page. The characters are amazing and their relationships are hands down something to be admired. To address real life complexities and what people face, was done to perfection in this book. I can personally relate to Knife feeling the way he does, and doing what he did for Beast. Not only is this book well written in the rom/dram sense, but the witty parts will get you as well. Let’s just say I will never look at a banana or think about waxing the same way..lol…
This book caught me completely off guard. It deals with an MC, so that’s a major plus, it’s a gay romance, so that’s another major plus. It deals with deaf culture, which a serious plus for me, and it had two wonderful anti-heroes, so MAJOR SCORE!!!!!! Please read this book. I want to read all the rest of the Hawks MC series now!!!!!!
I am a huge fan of this author. I was looking forward to this book. The characters are so amazing, they have depth, spirit, passion and hold your interest like no other. I loved this book. I have read this book several times, plus I listened to it on audible. Simply fantastic.
Men! Right ladies ! Even in a gay relationship they still don’t know what they want .
I loved Hear me out by Lila Rose . This was Beast and knife’s story one in which I loved . My heart went out to Beast and is one of my favorite characters in the Hawks MC series apart from my Julian of course . Beast has a major life changing turn of events happen to him in More ways then one then add knife , throw in a beautiful baby girl plus mixed up emotions, undying love for a man he thinks he may never have and a kidnapping attempt that leads to a reconnection with knife’s mother and you’ve got your self one hell of a book on your hands.
Love is love no matter race colour or religion everyone deserves an undying butterflies in your belly sweaty palm heart racing kind of love and even though it took a while for a certain character to pull his finger out and finally accept he’s deserving of love no matter who it is the emotional upheaval can be quite debilitating when it comes to acceptence. I loved this book because the journey for two people to have their happily ever after was filled with funny situations heart felt moment’s and at times hair pulling and not in the good way ! This reader nearly pulled her own hair out reading this book when a certain character couldn’t pull his head in and figure out what he wanted lol . Talk about frustrating ! But thankfully he got his act together and this reader didn’t want to throw her book at the wall her wall any more Once again the Hawks MC came together like the brotherhood they are and rallied around those brother’s in their time of need always having their backs no matter what the circumstances are. I highly recommend this series Five stars from me .
I loved this book!
Maddox was struggling with losing his hearing, losing his best friend Jay and being gay all at the same time! And the worst of it all? He lost Jay because he couldn’t keep his feelings in check, why did he have to sleep with jay when jay is as straight as they come? and why did it has to hurt so much when Jay literally ran from him after?
Maddox is a sweet, big alpha, muscle man who wants it all. A man, a family someone to love him. When Maddox goes deaf he thinks it is the end of the world. But the Hawks all step up and is there for him. It is amazing to read about how all these badass men rise up and are there for there friend, there brother. They all end up learning sign langued for him and they fight with him to make his life easier again.
But the most amazing one of them all is Jay. He finds out Maddox is deaf and even though they are not talking he get this need to learn sign langued so how else to learn it if not for youtube?
Jay is a stubborn, proud, alpha man who has a lot of trouble coming to terms with he may want his best friend.
Through in a baby, attempted kidnapping, some fucked up parents, some funny intimate waxing and you have the perfect book.
This was my first book by this author and I decided to read it purely based on the m/m and deafness aspect of it. I really liked it. It’s not a dark MC read so no worries there if you don’t like dark. I would recommend it.
I’m always a little hesitant when it comes to reading a M/M romance because it’s not something that I am usually comfortable with. However, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all of the other books in this series by Lila Rose, and thought I’d give this one a try. I have to say, it was an awesome story! Beast and Knife were close friends, as well as brothers in the Hawks MC. Beast is a quiet man, with many secrets that he doen’t share with his MC brothers. Knife is….well, he’s a total womanizer! He also has some secrets in his past. There are some misunderstandings in the beginning, that lead to a falling out between the two. During this time apart, Beast has some things happen that lead to some hard decisions. Knife also has some unexpected surprises show up! Throughout the story, Knife is having to put some hard thought into himself, and what he wants from his life.
There are secrets from the past, mysteries to be solved, visits from characters from other books, as well as hints at what is to come!
I love how this story focuses more on how love is based on who you love, as opposed to the gender of the person. It really pushes home the fact that you can’t help who you love, it just happens.
I also love how supportive the entire club is. When Beast has problems, the entire club does what they need to do to stand behind him. When Knife has an unexpected surprise, they back him up. When a problem crops up, there is no hesitation, they just jump right in. It really speaks of the family aspect of club life.
I totally enjoyed this book, and would recomend it to anyone. This book can be read as a stand alone, but the story is much fuller if you have already immersed yourself in the world of Hawks MC!
I love Lila’s books, but personally this wasn’t one of them. I knew when I bought it, it was about 2 guys in the club, but didn’t know majority of the book would have been about sex with these 2. The funniest part was the waxing and how he cared for his baby girl, but not as good as the others at least for me. Would have saved my money.
