I enjoyed this book and I am reading the next book in the series.
I love all the books by this author and don’t hesitate to buy one when I see one I haven’t read.
I believe this is the first book I read in this series. I thoroughly enjoyed Eric and Antonia’s story. It brought to life the hardships that early settlers in Montana faced and how they had to personally sacrifice to remedy personal situations and in many cases, hoped for the best. Will be looking to read other books in the series.
Erik and Antonia both have lost their spouses. They are married on the birth of Eriks daughter and death of his wife Daisy. Antonia arrives in town after barring her husband Jean-Claude with her two sons just in time to help with baby Camilla. Their lives start out in sorrow but with the need to move forward for their three young children. Eriks Farm life is difficult then Antonias trapper life. They have a few bumps to overcome but Henri and Jacques learn to accept a new father and wonderful life. Add in some Indian raiding of farm goods and this book is complete.
Nice story & different for a change.
Love all the Montana sky’s books. Great series.
Liked the book, I do believe it that kind of thing happened in the past out of necessity. Times were hard back then. The historical part is what I liked most. Reminiscent of Love comes Softly by J. Oke. Would have liked it to go further after they realized they loved each other. Seems it stopped too suddenly. Really lied how they too care of each other and loved the children so quickly.
Wonderful book I’m now reading the whole series.
I love this whole series. I would recommend these books to anyone that likes historical….family based books.

The book had good characters and a great story. But the story drraggefon and on. One chapter could have been covered two pages. The book should’ve been about half as long as it was. Very predictable.
