****You MUST read She before reading He in order to understand the characters and the events of the story.****
I was not disappointed with either book in this duet and yet again Kailee Reese Samuels has exceeded my expectations. After reading She, I patiently and anxiously awaited for this stunning and epic continuation of Natalie’s and Joe’s story here in He, book two, of the duet and I can honestly say that I was not prepared for how it panned out in book 2 of the duet. Their story is extremely emotional, dark and cruelly wicked. It will make your heart break into little pieces as you feel all of their pain and experience all that they have endured; however, there is brightness and light and good as well. Also, their story is of an immensely beautiful love with unfathomable determination and strength of perseverance that only Natalie and Joe themselves can have for each other and I suggest that the reader block out a good portion of your day/evening/weekend as once you read page one, you will be drawn into the world of Natalie and Joe and will NOT want to stop reading until the last page has been read. I HIGHLY recommend this duet. It is a MUST read.
This is the rest of Natalie and Joe’s story. The first book She is a must read before this one.
I absolutely loved this book!
Natalie,my poor Natalie I love you!
For your strength, for her brains, for not letting ANY ONE break you!
For still being able to love and trust. For being able to give when everyone around only ever took.
Joe was also a strong young man. He’s love and loyalty to Natalie was something to behold.
With all he saw and went through his love never wavered.
He would burn down the world around him for his Natalie.
Their lovestory isn’t typical,it isn’t dates and bright smiles.
It isn’t sunshine and rainbows.
It’s filled with darkness, evil, wickness and a network of perverted depraved people.
I loved their story. I loved their determination. I loved that they never gave up even knowing that the consequences would be dire.
The writing is perfect for this story.
The words are impactful and no beating around the bush.
The story and plot are dark, chilling and scary.
It’s intense from beginning to end.
It sent chills up and down my body numerous times.
It kept my heart beating so fast,I thought it would either explode or stop throughout the book.
It’s the darkest book I’ve read to date.
I was riveted and stunned with how evil and wicked people can be.
This duet especially He is not for the faint of heart.
This book deals with things that happen in and do happen real life, the author doesn’t sugarcoat anything. It’s told with all the ugliness and truthfulness because that’s the way this vile subject needs to be told. The way it’s presented is needed to have the maximum effect and impact.
*Please don’t get this book then give it a low rating because “it’s too dark” that’s not fair to the author nor to the book.
This series is the best books this author has written hands down! … First of all you have to read She before this book. He continues exactly where She left off and wow I’m blown away. Every page makes your heart skip a beat and I was dying to know what happens next. I bit all my nails off, paced and even yelled out loud while reading this story! Natalie how strong this woman truly is amazes me. Then Joe we see this determination through his eyes and the emotions had me a crying mess. No spoilers here just keep a open mind and open heart to Natalie and Joe’s story. Dark, gritty, very intense but in the end light and love and strength always wins. 5/5 stars if I could rate this series the way I want it would be 10 stars
He is an intoxicating read, it will have you so engrossed in the story that there is little that will tear you away from this riveting story line.
Its emotionally raw, intense, dark and beautifully fuc#%$ up.
The characters are flawed, and there story is filled with dark and brutal moments, that make you wonder will or can any relationship come out the better side after all they have been through.
In true Kailee form, we get the gritty and intense moments that leave you literally breathless, hanging off every beautiful word she has written.
Emotionally, this book had me!!
“I am his Queen; he is my King”
This is Joe and Natalie’s story, to truly understand what you are about to read I suggest you start at the beginning and read “She” book one in the Duet. Reading “He” as a standalone is not an option.
* You must read She before He in order to understand the characters and events of the story.*

What an amazing follow-up to She! Boundaries continue to bend and break as Joe and Natalie fight the onslaught of evil that has infiltrated their lives. I had wondered just how far they each would go to save each other, and He gives it all up here. No one is left unscathed. The psychotic, dark characters and the ones fighting for what’s good and right all play their parts. This book stunned me and left a big hole that I’m still trying to wrap my head around. What an insanely thrilling ride this has been!
chase

~He wants to walk through my hell – all to love me.~
This Duet is beyond phenomenal. It is incredibly riveting and poetically poignant. I absolutely cannot express the extent to how much I loved this story!
In HE we get to see just how far Joe’s love reaches. Natalie is a broken, conditioned waif who has endured unspeakable acts performed upon her from an early age. Her reality is grotesquely surreal and all she is trying to do is survive.
Natalie has lured Joe into her contaminated world in hopes he can be her saviour, she initially had no intent of ever finding or feeling love. She used Joe to free her from her warped incestuous familial chains and in turn was graced with his unconditional love.
Natalie may be broken and close to shattering, but she has a strength to withstand the acts of being pimped out not by a stranger but by her own flesh and blood. Those that are to protect and love you are the ones who have committed the worst crimes against her and her body.
When one kind man loves a woman enough to be unkind, he fights to get beyond Good Enough for Now to be Good Enough for Forever.
~Sex can hurt, but love can heal.~
It honestly is hard to write this review.
I’m not a harda$$ fan of dark romance I only read it in small doses afraid my heart couldn’t bear it.
He – as well as She – was a though story to read. I didn’t love nor hate it it was just a hard pill to swallow. The theme is really disturbing, it isn’t for the faint hearted. Without giving any details of the actual plot away I just say that even though I was rattled with the depraved and utterly repulsive behaviours portrayed in the story I gave my 3 star rating because I felt the characters couldn’t really live up to what I was expecting their behaviour would be in the second instalment.
On the other hand I don’t think the blurb does the story justice.
For the devoted readers of dark romance I recommend to read this duet of books and experience it for themselves.
