I’m a good girl—until I got drunk in Vegas and married a panties-flaming-hot Irishman.Oops.I’ve always lived my life by the rules. Unlike my two sisters, I’m the good one. The responsible one. Going outside my comfort zone is when I wear red lipstick before five PM.That comfort zone of mine? It’s smashed to smithereens on a wild night in Las Vegas when I met—and married—Liam Gallagher. After one … met—and married—Liam Gallagher.
After one shot of tequila, then two, then too many to count, a good girl’s rules tend to disappear. And so do her panties, and her bra, and various other articles of clothing when she’s with an Irishman who knows his way around a woman’s body.
Now my husband wants us to stay married. For six months. He says it’ll be worth my while. Considering our chemistry underneath the sheets, I can’t say that he’s wrong.
Liam isn’t safe, though. Liam definitely isn’t comfortable. He’s like the male equivalent of wearing red lipstick in the daytime all wrapped up in an irresistible, dangerous package.
Yet this stubborn Irishman isn’t about to let me go, drunken Princess Bride-themed Vegas wedding or no.
Now I have to decide if I’m brave enough to break the rules for love.

Loved this story. It’s cute and plucky. And right out of the gate you feel for both characters after suffering as kids and seeing loss and heartbreak. It has profoundly affected their outlooks on themselves and relationships with others. Liam and Mari met through mutual friend in a wedding party in Vegas. Alcohol plus crazy attraction leads to a marriage. That leads to an agreement to protect Liams sister from a crazy grandfather and an inheritance for college. (Complicated backstory. And he is an ornery old man). So Liam tries to be the knight in shining martyrdom and stay married until she turns 18 in 6 months and get the funds she need to go to one of the ivies. The relationship was hot from the start but she denied it after being cheated on and cancelling her wedding. And he was convinced he would get bored like he always does ‘because commitment and marriage is a joke’. (Many thanks to his shit of a father for that). They learn about way other and their families and that leans to reconsiderations. Until her ex shows up and the shit hits the fan. I really loved their relationship. They challenge and push each other but in good ways. To step out of their comfort zones to be better and shoot for better because they deserve more.
This was a fun book. Mari and Lima’s drunken oops of s marriage really turns into something really special: a great plot that’s well written and with a perfect cast. Definitely recommended.
** spoiler alert ** Mari has always been the good girl. Liam has never wanted to settle down. Sometimes opposites attract. Will Mari be ready to step outside her comfort zone? Will Liam admit what he has before it is to late?
Loved these two. This was the perfect example of opposites attracting. I loved seeing Mari slowly learn to let go and realize that never everything is her fault. I loved seeing Liam fall in love and change his no feelings mentality. Great read and cannot wait to start the next one!
Mari has play safe all her life. But she have just married a handsome Irish man in Las Vegas. Liam doesn’t believe In everlasting love nor in marriage. Can they fake for six months to help Liam’s sister or will they fall in love and face their demons together? An spicy but charming love story.
I read this book in one sitting. Most of the time I stay away from Las Vegas themed books where accidents usually happen but there are a small few that I’ve read and liked. This is one of them. I was easily drawn in and enchanted by Liam and Mari’s story. It was fun, passionate and heartwarming.
The two have great chemistry. At times their banter had me laughing so hard I teared up a bit.
It was wonderful to see the characters grow through out the story, especially Mari. I loved seeing her open up.
I really enjoyed going on this journey with them.
Yay! It’s a waking up married in Vegas book. These are some of the fake relationship stories I love the best. You have the added complications of all the legalities on top of every other thing that can possibly go wrong in these kinds of situations. Mari broke my heart over and over again with the reasons she thought she needed to always be the “good girl”. Mind you, Liam broke it almost as many times for why he didn’t believe in marriage. In between this pair breaking my heart and tying my emotions in knots are some of the funniest moments I’ve read in a while. The ice sculpture nearly had me in tears laughing. I can’t wait to read Kate’s story now.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through Hidden Gems Books.
I loved the story between Mari and Liam. Nice characters and a good building of the storyline. I couldn’t stop reading. Now I can’t wait at the story of Kate.
Liam is cocky and sexy and not looking for love. Mari is prim and proper and very cautious of men after her ex fiancee cheated on her in their bed. The two meet when they are part of their friends wedding in Vegas. Drinks start flowing and caution gets thrown to the wind. Can a spur of the moment marriage blossom into something real? I loved how sassy Liam was. He knew all the right buttons to push to get Mari riled up. His Irish accent didn’t hurt either! Let’s not overlook the humor in this book as well, in the form of an inappropriate bird. That one had me in stitches! This story is Can’t wait to read Kate’s story next!
I enjoyed everything about this book, from the wedding in Vegas, to all the mishaps with the new bride & groom. Great set of characters & a storyline that held my attention.
Really can not get enough of this fun and emotional series. This is the good sisters story and I loved every heart pounding moment. Was a great read from beginning to end. Highly entertaining romantic journey and the perfect summer reading.
‘He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not’ is the second book I’ve read by Iris Morland, and I received it in exchange for an honest review.
After reading ‘Petal Plucker’ the first book of the ‘The Flower Shop Sisters’ series, I couldn’t wait for Marigold’s story and it was better than I’d ever anticipated!
Marigold is always playing it safe, she is not a risk taker and is the eldest of the three Flower Shop sisters, and the one who usually has her life together. But when she wakes up in Vegas after a wild bachelorette party with a ring on her finger, she can’t help but freak out. What’s worse is her new ‘husband’ Liam is to die for, and infuriating in his own gorgeously handsome way.
Liam is a commitmentphobe, he gets bored of women after a few dates and doesn’t believe in the idea of love and marriage. But when he meets Marigold, something within him is drawn to her, and after rescuing her from a wild girls night, he gets carried away and drags Marigold down the aisle. Unbeknown to him that it will have a massive effect to him in the long run.
The book is about life lessons, about taking risks and being willing to take a chance on something that you want. I love Liam and Marigolds relationship! It’s hot, passionate but also has all the underlying intimacy and sweetness that you’d want from a book couple.
It was the perfect romance read and I am so excited to see where the rest of this series goes!
Ideal for all romance lovers, especially those who prefer the steamier reads.
Marigold woke up naked in a man’s arms with a plastic ring on her finger. What did she do. She tried to sneak out but he woke up…She hurried to the bathroom. She tried to get her act together. Now he wanted in. She was hoping he would tell her what happened. But he was no help. She just had to get through the wedding then she could go home and figure out what to do later. But of course things didn’t go as planned.
What a wonderful story!
Well this just proves that Iris Morland can write romantic comedy- Petal Plucker was not a fluke! I don’t know how many times I laughed out loud while reading this. There were so many hilarious lines, I loved it. There were also some emotional moments. I got all misty-eyed at one point. Very well balanced. I was looking forward to this one as soon as I finished the last, and it exceeded my expectations
The second book in the The Flower Shop Sisters series a well written story that held my interest until the end. This is Irishman Liam Gallagher and Marigold/ Mari Wright’s story of how they get married in Vegas and then have to decide what to do. There are somethings with Liam being married that will help his sister Niamh out. I laughed throughout this book. I want to read Kate’s story. The ring Liam gives Mari sounded really nice Rose Gold with Morganite and engraved with A ghrá geal which he was meaning as ‘my bright love’. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
If you loved Dani’s book, get ready to be OBSESSED with Mari’s! The cliffhanger regarding Mari that we got at the end of Dani’s book hooked me in, but Mari’s storyline itself kept me reading. I love that Iris was able to take a common storyline and really make it her own and add the quirk that is the Flower Shop sisters! In Vegas for a wedding and reeling from a broken engagement, Mari is surprised when she wakes up and finds out that she married the best man (who she doesn’t initially remember)! Liam is anti-commitment, forever focused on doing what’s best for his baby sister that he basically raised. When the financial well being of his sister is compromised, Liam and Mari decide to stay married for a period of time. While there was total insta-love between these two, as they continue to stay married and get to know each other further, the chemistry and feelings grow quickly and passionately. When hurtful things are said and done and Mari leaves, get ready to shake and throw your e-reader in frustration because they are meant to be together!! I can’t get enough of Iris and her books! Her style of writing is extremely enjoyable because it’s steamy yet romantic with an added twist of awkward and quirky, and it creates the best combination! After reading the first two books, I can’t wait to see what she has in store for the final sister Kate’s book, especially since she’s nothing like her sisters!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I am absolutely in love with the Flowers Ship Sisters series!
When Petal Plucker ended I really couldn’t wait for Mari’s book. What we learn about her and the demise of her relationship with Daniel made me ache for her to experience a second chance, especially one that pointed to a better suited and one that could give her true happiness. Well, it is delivered in the glorious form a 6-and-a-half-foot Irish born god in Liam Gallagher. Their ooooopsie of a wedding was the best thing that could happen. Iris Morland delivers the liberation of Marigold Wright from a life of boredom to a life of delight, but it’s a process filled with confusion and ups and downs.
Liam inspires Mari to take chances and I loved seeing her character growth as she learns to trust her instincts and to follow her heart. Liam is a true force. I loved his self-assured ( cocky ) nature and the love he has for his sister. One thing I can’t not mention is how much I LOVED the Wright family dynamics. Mari’s dinner with her parents provides a wonderful comedic element and made me fall even more in love with Iris’ writing. I can’t stress enough how happy this book made me feel and I’m now really, really excited for Kate’s story!! 5 Stars and recommendation!
Can what starts in Vegas last and do they want it to?
Mari(gold) and Liam are strangers who, in a wild moment, make an impetuous decision and live to agonize over the consequences. With two diametrically opposed ways to approach life, they do not make an obvious perfect match, but a shared protective instinct toward their siblings and a dynamite physical attraction form the foundation for a connection neither expects to last. I liked their family backstories and sisters Niamh and Kate add a nice touch of teenage smart mouth to their story. The romance gets red hot but plagued with misunderstandings and second thoughts galore.
I enjoyed their journey, particularly because the writing was good and their characters likeable, relatable and well-developed.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
An enjoyable romance with a good plot and well written, this Vegas wedding novel takes both the groom and the bride by surprise. When Mari wakes up the morning after the wedding, she is shocked to realise the results of her tequila induced state of inebriation. The “sensible” sister in the family does not get drunk and definitely didn’t consider marriage to an Irishman with a sexy voice. This romantic comedy has laugh out loud moments as well as a charming build-up of a relationship that would otherwise have been impossible to consider. Despite having married for all the wrong reasons, there is definitely enough right about these two to make the relationship work. I received a copy of this book from BookSprout and this is my honest and voluntary review.
He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not is the second book in the Flower Shop Sisters series, and reads pretty well as a stand alone. Mari is the oldest of three sisters, known as the responsible one, and suddenly she has found herself drunkenly married while in Vegas! Neither Mari nor Liam particularly want to be married to one another, but in an attempt to save his sister’s inheritance, they need to show the world they’re happily married. But will their passion and connection allow them to walk away at the end of their agreement?
Oh my, this book was fabulous! It was the perfect combination between hilarious moments with more tender and heart pulling scenes, Mari and Liam stole my heart right from the very beginning and I absolutely loved their romance! Mari is such a good girl, but I loved watching Liam open her up to new experiences, loved watching her heart open to live life as it comes her way, and loved all the craziness that is her heart vs her head. Liam is a wandering soul, one with some of his own internal issues he needed to deal with, but his heart was solid gold when he followed it, especially in regards to his sister and with Mari. Their connection was passionate and real, they had difficulties and humor to get them through, and I loved all of the drama they encountered. This book is an amazing follow up to the first book in the series, both of which I completely love, and I am so excited to see what Kate’s story will bring!
Prim and proper meets Irish brogue and rugged charm.
Flirty, light, fun, and as steamy as a hot kettle.
If you want to have a good time and a smile on your face non-stop, this is the book to read.
Rom-Com with a quick pace, a couple that has efervescent chemistry, and a quirky plot that you root for no matter how ridiculous it should be in real life. Drunken marriage in Vegas? Sure, just the perfect prelude to everlasting love. Totally acceptable, and please give me more 😀
The banter betwen Mari and Liam is delicious. She might be a good girl, but she melts when she is confronted by Liam’s tempting masculinity. In close quarters, this hard-in-all-the-right-places man is too hot to resist. From a drunken mistake, they end up keeping up the charade of this marriage for a reason that I found adorable and made me love Liam all the more. Mari is cute and is looking for a brigther future than her safe-at-all-costs mentality has led her to up until now. I think this couple is made for each other despite the odds. He is against marriage? No biggie, Mari will change his mind and his heart with all her red-haired cuteness 😉
The cheeky dialogues combine with a woman’s journey to free herself from emotional baggage that’s hindering her happiness. I really liked that. And it surprised me how hot and posseessive Liam ends up being towards his unintended wife when at first he had reneged from it all. Wow, those sheets are set on fire!
The ending is so romantic, funny and naughty too, and it hints at promising things to come. I’m hooked! <3
