Just like all rina’s books, this one is also perfect and not disappointing at all!!!!
I have been for this release for a long time and it was soooooo worth the wait.
This was my first stalker romance and I must say I really liked this one!!
My first thought when I picked up this book was that “this stalker romance sounds cringey” , but let me tell you that the way the author has written it , it was anything but cringy.
The scenes were well appreciated by me and I just can’t wait for book 2!!!!!!!!!!!
Let me also warn you that this is literally a stalker romance.. I mean there is the “stuff-being-moved-everywhere” without the heroines permission and the window peaking. And everything u can imagine a stalker would do… But none the less , I never thought of that as a negative part of the book … I mean it’s stalker romance! What else did you expect????
I really enjoyed this one and I have also recommend it to all of my stupid, hot-psycho men loving girlfriends !!!
5 STARS
This book captured my attention right from the start! Georgina and Jasper’s story is dark and twisted and will have you hooked. I highly recommend this book if you are looking to have your mind blown! He Hates Me by Isabella Starling is an EPIC read and will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
Ummm.. Where do I start. I’m a Isabella Starling fan. Her books are dark, twisted, sexy, and suspenseful.
Once I started this book, I had trouble putting it down until I finished it to the very end and now I seriously am on edge until I can get the second book of the series. You’ll get hot sex for sure in this book. You’ll get twists and turns you don’t see coming. Oh. The FMC is a hardcore cat lover. That’s a plus for me LOL. I cannot wait for the second one that comes toward the end of the month!
WOW WOW WOW WOW…ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!!
You’ll love this book so much – trust me you need it.
This has to be my favourite book that Rina has written/co-written. It’s so corruptive and twisted – you don’t want to miss out on this.
I’M IN LOVE. Two words. Jasper Cain. Aka the best anti-hero EVER! He’s officially my favourite anti-hero. NOBODY DARE QUESTION ME ON THIS! He’s so fucking hot, I swear, my lady parts could not handle it. Jasper is so dark and warped – you’ll instantly become addicted.
Jasper and Georgina’s chemistry is off the charts!! I really enjoyed reading about them because they are so different but they intertwine perfectly with each other. It’ll be very intriguing to watch them develop in “He Hates Me Not”.
Also, FUCK, that plot twist towards the end-
I’m pretty sure I felt like my brain stopped functioning. Like WHAT? Too bad I can’t spoil it-
But, trust me, you don’t want to miss this.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
Man what a mind trip!! These two authors have created such an awesome mafia/stalker type of world and characters that will stick with me for a while. Jasper is dark, cruel, and somewhere deep inside he hides the tiniest bit of affection he has and only saves it for his Petal/Georgie. Georgina is a clam person, a nurse, but her fake smiles and the way she hides her true self away from the world peaks Jasper’s interest and then she becomes his obsession. These two together are like kerosene and fire, they are perfect for each other, explosive, but also volatile. Not to reveal much about the story but this book had me all kinds of twisted and I loved each moment of it. It does end kind of on a cliff hanger but the second book is coming out soon so the wait won’t be long and I’m excited to see where the authors take this story because like I said it’s a wonderful, crazy, and twisted mind trip and the authors pull this off beautifully.
Rating:
I love obsessive sociopathic stalkers! Am I crazy? Maybe…
Ok, maybe I don’t actually love them in real life, but I do love them in romance novels. My very favorite type of book is when a psychopath or sociopath with no empathy or emotions suddenly gets obsessed with a girl. He tells himself he just needs to have her once then kill her and the obsession will be over, but after he gets a taste of her, his obsession just grows and he eventually realizes he is in love with her.
The main character in this book, Jasper is not at that point yet. However, he is way past the obsession point. He is a dog for the mob. What that is in his world is basically someone who isn’t part of the famiglia but works for them. Basically all the dogs are expendable. They do what the bosses tell them to and no matter how well they do their job, if it ever comes to pass where they fail at their job, they aren’t worth keeping around.
Jasper has made himself the best torturer and killer that Lucio Costa has and Jasper enjoys his work. So he is not worried about being put down like other dogs. He is loyal to Lucio because Lucio saved him as a teenager. He keeps himself safe from his enemies by constantly moving and never staying in one apartment or neighborhood for too long.
Jasper first sees Georgina at her work where she is a nurse. He’s there to question another nurse and he sees Georgie give this big fake smile to the woman and he wonders what she is hiding under that smile. He can’t get her out of his mind, so he starts to follow her and gets an apartment across from hers, and becomes a regular stalker before finding the perfect way to initiate a meeting.
At the beginning Jasper thinks he will have Georgie once and be done with her and he plans on killing her when he is through with her. He has never been with a woman more than once before. But as his obsession grows he realizes that once will not be enough. I don’t want to give too much away but this book is super steamy. Georgina has some dark fantasies and he finds out everything about her and uses it against her to tie her to him.
There are some side stories about Jaspers job and how he is starting to mess it up a bit because he is so obsessed with Georgina. Also, how the person he is looking for that his boss wants him to kill, may have something to do with an upcoming change of power. So if Jasper doesn’t find the guy before the boss’s brother, then the boss could lose the power in the famiglia.
I really loved the dynamic between Georgie and Jasper and I can’t wait to find out what happens next. The end of the book was a huge surprise and I can’t tell if it was good or bad. I can’t tell if Jasper is good or bad for Georgie actually. I want him to be good, but I just don’t know. I guess that is what makes the book so awesome.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Okay, so… I’m trying to be open minded in that the FMC, Georgina, has VERY dark desires of being forced, raped, degraded, used, etc. even though that’s not my personal thing. So when Jasper treats her this way and does these things to her, I try not to cringe and let that affect my view of the book. That’s just her kink, after all. But damn. It’s hard not to hate Jasper for all of that bullshit.
It helps to see his POV, to somewhat see that his feelings may be deeper for her than just to fuck her, but he’s never really been the emotional feelings type. I want him to show a softer side but that never really happens and I hate that.
There’s a twist that I sort of guessed but wasn’t on the nose with.
I’ll read the second book and hope it all turns out happily ever after, but I’m not holding my breath, really. 3.5
I thought it was pretty good and well written. The story definitely has steam. I’ve read books from both of these authors and have enjoyed them.
Love a good stalker read, especially one as dark as this one. But I wasn’t really feeling it. Don’t get me wrong the sex scenes in this is OUT OF THIS WORLD HAWT!!! The basics are there, there is so much emotion too, but I had a hard time connecting to the story and it didn’t flow for me. There were a few scenes that were predictable but I loved that I still got surprised at times. Don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy it but it just wasn’t the best for me.
4.5
I really didn’t expect all that and I loved it The secrets, the obsession, the bad guy, the good kinky girl, the mafia……. all perfectly orchestrated
Let me preface my review by stating that I love a good dark romance and these books were no exception. But I feel that some fans of the genre might be shocked by how far down the rabbit hole Starling and Kent go with this series.
Jasper is not an easy character to relate to, but as the ultimate anti-hero, he is not meant to be. That said, he is f***ing hot. Georgina, on the other hand, comes to life as someone that you could easily know in your own world (complete with her love of cats), at least until the plot twist. I will try to avoid spoilers here, but it is worth noting that Georgina’s backstory is shrouded in mystery. As I progressed with her tale, I found myself formulating theories. But when the big reveal finally came, all my speculations were proven wrong! Well done to the authors for keeping me guessing.
The poorly developed secondary characters let these books down a little. If I had a chance to get to know Georgina’s friends, the predicament she ends up in would have tugged at my heart strings more. As it was, I felt more invested in the mafia intrigue than I did in Georgina’s plight. I also felt that the pace of the sequel was rushed. The story could have easily filled out a trilogy if more time was spent exploring Georgina’s new relationships in book 2.
As far as romance goes, these books did little to engage my soppy side. To get five stars from me, a romance really needs to be a tear-jerker (yes even dark romance can do this). They did, however, make me laugh at times and the erotic scenes had me looking forward to bedtime with my husband.
In short, the Hate& Love Duet is a captivating story full of tension and titillating sex scenes. The books deal with the darker side of humanity, from the psychology of a killer to the exploration of secret kinks. If dark, stalker romance is your thing, I would recommend giving this series a read. Readers who are new to the dark romance genre should probably start with the earlier works of these authors first.
He Hates Me by Isabella Starling and Rina Kent is the First book in the Hate & Love Duet. This starts the story of Jasper and Georgina and will end in the next book called ‘He Hates Me Not’. Jasper is a loner who is a top killer for the man he works for. Jasper did not have a childhood really so he doesn’t form attachments nor does he have any real feelings for the people he kills. When he happens to be completing a ‘job’ he ends up spotting Georgina who makes him feel something he hasn’t felt before but she also has him wondering about her. This starts his shadow stalking of her and him become protective of her. Georgina of course doesn’t know him or what he is doing but she does feel someone watching her but she to is a longer who grew up in the system. But Jasper receives his next kill assignment which ends up being Georgina. This was a page turning read!
This book was mindblowing! I can’t believe what I just read He hates me is the first book in the Hate & love duet. It can’t be read as a stand-alone.
It’s not only her taste that stays with me. Her screams, her cries, her sobs still echo like music to my ears.
Jasper is a hit man in the mafia and Georgina is a recluse nurse that is hiding a mysterious past. The hero becomes enthralled with her and can’t decide if he wants her and what is so familiar about her that keeps him coming back to her.
This book was filled with mystery and a plot that leaves you guessing what is happening next! Can’t wait for book two. That cliffhanger left me with many questions. A great read by Rina Kent & Isabella Starling

This book! To be honest I had no idea what to except from this book as I try not to read reviews to avoid spoilers. However, having read this author before I knew I was in for a ride… and what a ride it was. I don’t know why I find mysterious, brooding, borderline crazy stalkers in books so attractive but here we are. I couldn’t put this book down. I think my heart was racing too fast for good 80% of this book. I loved the flawed hero and heroine, their chemistry, their twisted way of helping and saving each other. The steamy parts… oh my!!!! .. not going to lie some was new to me even after reading 150+ books in the past year. What I love the most about Rinas books is that her stories are unpredictable and I don’t even try to figure out what will happen anymore… I’m usually wrong. so with that said, read the book, don’t try to figure it out, it won’t be what you’re thinking but much much better!
Honestly, I’m so obsessed (although maybe I shouldn’t say it like that exactly) with Rina Kent at this point I really will read anything she writes.
No matter how wild.
No matter how dark
No matter how twisted and a lil bit kinky.
I will read it and I will love it.
I’m brand new to the writing of Isabella Starling and I have to say, I’m impressed.
This really is one of the darkest romances I’ve read in a wicked long time and it’s going to stay with me for a while. Which isn’t a bad thing.

Be prepared for triggers up the wazoo though, because this, like any dark romance won’t be for everyone.
**I received an ARC of this on behalf of the authors and their team and I volunteered to leave an honest review**
I’ve never read a stalker book before so I was excited for this book to be my first and wow, what a dark treat it was.
Jasper is a hitman and while out on a job, he comes across Georgina. From the moment he sees her, he wants her and will stop at nothing until he is in her life. He manipulates himself into her life and goes full stalker on her. He breaks into her apartment, goes through all her things and starts to learn everything about her. He is full on obsessed with her.
They both share chemistry with each other and Jasper sees everything Georgina is trying to hide, including her dark kinks that she wants to live out and Jasper is only too happy to give her them.
The story was engaging and a really good quick read. There were a few twists and turns and jaw dropping moments I didn’t see coming and I’m already looking forward to the conclusion.
ARC received for an honest review – thank you

“The moment you’re consumed and find yourself doing things in a compulsive, sporadic way, that’s when it becomes an obsession- raw and ugly in its truest form.”
So, I’ve read both of these authors individual works and I know that they both write dark romances with perfect anti hero you’d fall for. That’s why when I heard that they will have a collab, I was excited and curious how it will turn out. My oh my, from the convoluted, dark minds of these two came Jasper Cain. Guys, I wasn’t prepared!!
“She has always been mine to own, mine to break and to destroy. Some would call this stalking, but I call it keeping an eye on her.”
Jasper is the perfect anti hero for me. A dangerous, hardened killer, a hitman for an Italian mafia. He has very little regard for human life. And I think that his past and work made him an unfeeling, remorseless man. His only light, it appears is his little Petal, his obsession, Georgina.
Georgina has some darkness in her too. One that she hides from everyone, even those she consider family, her two bestfriends. Like Jasper, she has a traumatic past that still haunts her to this day. There is an undeniable pull from these two, that I feel sprung from their mutual demons. Their chemistry is raw, biting, consuming fire that will leave you hot, bothered and thirsty for a cold drink or two.
Their story is full of mystery, secrets, hot sexy times and twists that I wasn’t expecting. It has everything that a dark romance you’d love and with the way the story ends, it will make you beg for book two. Can’t wait!!
Wow! Talk about a dynamic duo!! Individually these authors are great, together they are fantastic!! Their equally twisted minds weave a suspenseful story with many twists and turns. I couldn’t put it down once I started it.
I cannot say how much I truly enjoyed this dark, twisted, suspenseful, steamy read and holy cliffy!!! Do not take this lightly if you trigger easily but it is a fantastic stalker read that has left me speechless and needing more all in one breath
I received this arc in exchange for an honest review.
What in the world I read??? Jasper it’s not a character I have read before. He is cruel, raw, coldhearted, dangerous, mysterious, a killer. A psychopath with no emotions or regrets. He met Georgina, a nurse and a cat lover. She doesn’t have many friends and no family. Loneliness settled and the need to have someone in his life other than her cats opened the doors for Jasper to enter as he pleased. Georgina became his obsession and he started to stalk her. He wanted to broke her and dragged her into his darkness. Georgina knew that but the chemistry between them is addictive.
I started to read this book with high expectations. I wanted to like it. Unfortunately at some point something went off. Halfway through the reading I felt like I was losing interest.
However I wanted to know how it ended. And I don’t regret it. I didn’t see coming the twist and that brought back my interest.
He Hates Me is DARK, depraved, kinky, intrigued. Ended with a cliffhanger. And I’m so curious to know more about this crazy couple.
