You’d think I have it all, and on the face of it, you’d be right.
I’m the VP for the Satan’s Devils MC. I’m married to the woman who’s been by my side all my life, my best friend turned lover who’s expecting our baby in another six months.
Surrounded by family, both blood and club, I couldn’t be a happier man. Or could I?
What happens when suddenly everything you thought you wanted in life … thought you wanted in life becomes that which you least desire?
What do you do when you’re consumed with the thought there’s something out there that’s better?
The problem is, being driven to finding out, means leaving my club and they’re not going to let me go easily.

Hawk’s Cry : Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #2 by Manda Mellet
Hawk and Olivia have had so much happen to them over the last few months. Most of it good, but then they get blindsided by something nobody could have ever anticipated.
Olivia is a rock and she showed that time and time again throughout this story. She showed the depth of her love for Hawk as well as an inner strength that I wouldn’t have expected from her.
I really wanted to pop Hawk in the head a few times, but as the story went on and things started to make sense I decided get needed hugs instead.
I’m so hooked on this series. I love how we are able to keep up with the couples from the previous books and try to figure out which one of the Devil’s is going down next.
Hawks Cry (Satans MC Second Generation #2) by Manda Mellett was on hell of an emotional ride. This is a romantic suspense book that will have you laughing and crying throughout the entire book. In this addition to the series we learn about Hawk the VP of the Satans Devils MC. He is married to the love of his life, child on the way, has his MC family what more could he want. What does a man go through that causes him to question everything he holds dear to him? This was a great read that took me one sitting due to its fast pace I just could not put it down. I can’t wait to read the next book.
Ok, I have a bone to pick with this author after this book. How dare you make me cry at like, 14%. But really, I was heart broken but understand it had to happen the way it did. This poor man, i can only imagine the pressures, amd this brought an all too real common struggle for a lot of people to the forefront and shows how much support is needed.
I really loved how this ended i was laughing so hard. I cannot wait for more of anything this author writes, she has a gift.
Hawk’ Cry is the second book in Manda Mellett’s Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation series. Oh my goodness! I have read the original series and Colorado Chapter spin off but when I finished the first book in the Second Generation series I know that she has stepped up with these stories of the kids of the original MC members! What makes the second generation series even more special is that we get the old timers, pardon me, the original MC family and then we see the kids all grown up with their challenges and lives and …
Hawk’s Cry gives us Eli “Hawk” and Olivia who are MC brats themselves, are waiting the birth of their first child with the rest of the MC family. You would think that in general it is the time of joy and happiness but Hawk’s Cry gives us doubts and heartbreak and feeling like you cannot breath anymore and the world is closing in on you … oh my, we are left emotionally battered once we finish the story … I love how Manda is not afraid to address sensitive issues. I am sure when you picture a VP of a MC, you think of an alpha male and then the writer brings in the question of the mental health and how men deal with it and … Kudos to you dear Manda and I cannot wait for the next one in the series!
This couple was relationship goals. They had each others back and loved one another so hard. Great story.
Hawk’s Cry : Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #2 by Manda Mellett. When I say this author draws me in completely and I have the hardest time leaving her books I don’t say it lightly. Once again I found myself completely lost in the pages of another fantastic read by this author. The words invoke all the emotions you could imagine. The author does a wonderful job of writing a story that draws you in from page one and won’t let go. The characters are complex and relatable, they pull you so far into their world you forget reality for a while. You can truly feel the work , time and emotions put in every page. Wonderful story that I couldn’t put down. Well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Five huge stars and highly recommended!
Hawk’s Cry (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #2) by Manda Mellett
5 +++++ Stars
Oh my goodness am I enjoying this second generation series, this was a genius idea and of course this author makes it all fresh and new just like every other book she comes out with. I will say though that this just about broke me…I was ready to smash my kindle before I was out of the 1st chapter, you talk about an emotional roller coaster this was it! I feel so attached to ALL of these people and I’ve got the whole compound pictured in my head and I just can’t say enough about how much I love the Satan’s Devils, all chapters but this one holds a special place in my heart.
I never want any of this to end, I don’t care which way she goes, what new cities she chooses to stick a chapter, I seriously never want it to end. The snippet at the end of this one tells me we are headed to San Diego…Bring it on!! I can’t wait though to come back to the second generation, I need to see how the future has played out for Hawk and Liv.
If you want to get lost in one of the best MC series ever then start at the very beginning with Turning Wheels and dive in…You will not be sorry I promise, this author makes everything feel so real and transports you directly into the stories she writes!!
Having read numerous reads by Manda Mellett in both of the Satan’s Devils MC Series and this series Of Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation I thought I knew what to expect from one of her reads, but was I proved wrong!
This book really gets you totally and utterly emotionally invested in the storyline and also characters you have read about from previous going through things that you never expect. Each time I think Manda Mellett can’t make these series better, she goes and makes them better and better!
This book literally pulls you apart at the seams it covers topics that are heart-wrenching but the author writes it beautifully and with sensitivity. This book gives you realness, drama, high emotions, suspense, friends and family that have your back no matter what, it’s raw and even with all of this happening I absolutely loved this read!
I highly recommend this read, and for an even more immersive experience, I recommend you read them all, from Satan’s Devils MC Series and Second Generation Series, you seriously won’t regret transporting yourself into the world of MC’s.
5 stars!
As always Manda Mellett delivers another fantastic story. I am always left wondering how the next book can top the previous but I am always left speechless. This book made me feel so many emotions, my heart broke so much, but was of course repaired in the end. Manda Mellett always has a way of making my heart ache and then bringing me joy again.
I was really concerned for Hawk, many people out there do deal with depression, and do stop their lives to wonder what they are doing, and where they will go from here on out. In the other books we can see that Hawk is in love with his wife Liv and is ecstatic that he will soon be a father, but he starts to doubt himself, his life’s work, everything he has ever known. The pain Liv has to endure trying to help Hawk as much as she can, and standing by his side through it all was beautiful and sad all at once. The twists that are thrown into this book, as well as the content are fantastically written, the characters are epic and have been since the beginning. I would highly recommend this book, and the whole series to any motorcycle club romance lover.
Hawk’s Cry by Manda Mellett a five-star read that is worth your tears. This is number two in the Satan’s Devils MC Second generation series, I have read the first generation and am now going back to read the second generation and they have just built into an amazing picture, You could pick up the second generation but I have loved them all and really do think I benefited from reading them all. I love the way Manda Mellett has with words, she will drag you into the lives of these characters kicking and screaming if needed. Hawk is a troubled man and he has his reasons for what he is thinking and I am not going to go into detail as the author does a great job of revealing the story and I am not going to spoil the drama. All I will say is that this is sublime, and done so well, I sobbed buckets during this one, as my dad went through this and he didn’t have anyone like the Devils, and I was so happy that the Devils stepped up for each other even though it’s a story it still shows us the darkness. Now get reading as you will miss this amazing story.
Hawk’s Cry: Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #2 by Manda Mellett is a MC contemporary romance story. I really enjoy all the Satan’s Devils books in the numerous series Manda has going and the characters. They feel like family. Hawk’s Cry is the next generation from the original series where the FOG’s are stepping down and their children are taking over. Hawk’s story hit me harder than the others due to the nature of the subject as I have suffered from depression and PTSD, so it was a very emotional read for me, but it is a great story. It did take me a while to settle into but as things came to light it made much more sense. There were times I had to step away and take a break as I was riddled with emotions and my heart was breaking. As with all Manda’s books I suggest you read them in order because they all intertwine, and you will be missing out on the characters and their relationships back stories.
This book is so incredible it’s almost hard to describe. For someone like me who is dealing with something like this in my life right now. This book hit real close to him. Hawks Cry Satans Devils MC second generation by Manda Mellett is about a man who has his happily ever after but is dealing with unhappiness.
Manda Mellett has done an amazing job at creating such characters who are relatable. Her characters touch your soul, they are so well developed that they feel almost like your friends.
Eli has character traits that can relate to a lot of older men/women. He is a man who seemingly has everything he could want. But yet he is confused and lost. He has trouble figuring out what he actually wants in his life. It’s similar to a midlife crisis. Which is a subject that a lot of authors don’t touch upon. Watching him work through his crisis of figuring out what he wants in his life, or walking away from everything he has built. This subject hit very close to home for me. And the book brought me through all the emotions. I laughed, I cried, and I cried more, I smiled. There were times I wanted to reach there’s a pages and slap him upside the head.
Liv has characteristic traits of the significant other dealing with the spouse who has a midlife crisis. It’s a very hard role to fill without wanting to make bad decisions along the way. The author did amazing job building up her character into a strong, loving and supportive, while being independent woman.
Eli and Liv’s story is one that a lot of people are living right now. This book was very enjoyable, and I highly recommend it.
I can’t ever fathom how Mellett will top herself. And somehow she always does. She always writes an amazing story with deep characters, and a plot full of raw emotion. This latest book absolutely continues this tradition. Time and again I swear I will buy stock in Kleenex before I pick up another Mellett novel. And I never do. But I always have a box on standby. This book left me wrecked in an impossibly beautiful way.
Hawk’s Cry by Manda Mellett is book two of the Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation series. As usual, Manda Mellett wasn’t pulling any punches with this book.
Eli, on the surface, seems to have it all. His wife is expecting their first baby, he’s got his friends and his role as VP of the club. What no one realizes is he is drowning in just about everything. All of a sudden, everything he thought he wanted doesn’t seem appealing anymore. Liv can feel Eli pulling away and distancing himself. As they say though, two wrongs don’t make a right and Liv may have made a decision that wasn’t exactly the best. The only way to find out what happens with these two is to read their story.
These characters are so relatable. Many people face the same situations Liv and Eli found themselves in which add depth to the story. I couldn’t put the book down. I had to find out how everything turned out. I highly recommend giving this book a chance!
Hawk’s Cry (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #2)by Manda Mellett
5 out of 5 stars
Hawks cry is the second book in the second generation of Satan’s Devil MC written by Manda Mellett and it is not my first book or the last book that I will read by this awesome author. The characters are great and is well written, I also loved the plot and you also get to see some of our favorite couples and what their up too. I read this story in one sitting that how much I enjoyed this story.
Hawk and Olivia have known each other since they were in a crib, they were friends then lovers, now their married with a baby on the way. The last few months Hawk has pulled away from everyone his wife the club he is an emotional roller coaster and does not know what wrong or how to explain himself. All the while Olivia stands by her man when he emotionally hurts her.
So now Hawk and Liv have become citizens since Hawk walked away from the club. Now that they are on their own Hawk withdraws even further and says things that send her running. While she is out, she meets a man that seems harmless or so she thought.
It comes to light that Hawk is suffering from depression while he makes some progress Liv end up getting kidnapped. Will this break Hawk or will this snap him out of his rut? Will he find out who has Liv and what he wants? Will the club turn their backs on Hawk when he needs help finding Liv? Will they find her and the baby unharmed?
You will need to read this amazing story/ series and cant wait to read Being Lost San Diego chapter.

I am obsessed with all of the Satan’s Devils books. Each time a new one comes out, I think it is the best one yet. This one, however, tore me to shreds and is probably one of the best books I have read this year. Hawk’s story deals with real issues that hit close to home. I felt for him and his wife throughout the entire book.
Hawk is struggling and doesn’t know what to do or who to even turn to for help. His pregnant wife is confused as to why the relationship with her husband is changing. Decisions are made that can change their lives forever. The other members of the MC make an appearance in this book when they come together to help their own.
I really don’t want to give too much away because these books should be experienced by the reader without anything spoiled. The scenarios in this book are real and will hit home for quite a few people. I felt so many emotions throughout the story…but, as always, the strength of family (whether by blood or chosen) plays an important role. Thank you Manda Mellett for another amazing story in this series!
This book needs to come with a ‘tissues required’ warning. Hawk’s Cry by Manda Mellett tore me apart. I had spells of sobbing, ugly crying. It really hit very close to home. Hawk’s Cry is the 2nd book in the Satan’s Devils MC 2nd Generation. Each book I read by Manda Mellett just gets better and better. I’m totally in love with the Satan’s Devils.
In this book Manda Mellett tackles a very sensitive subject close to my heart; depression. Having suffered from depression for over 20 years and having my lowest spell ever last year I can totally empathise with Hawk and my heart broke for him on so many occasions.
Hawk is the VP of the Satan’s Devils, he’s newly married and has a baby on the way. Everything should be perfect in his life, but it’s far from it. He feels like he’s a failure, like he’s been pushed into everything and hasn’t made any decisions for himself so decides to leave the Satan’s Devils and start life anew as a citizen. Leaving an MC isn’t something you do lightly and there are consequences in doing so.
Does his new life with Pregnant wife Olivia bring him the happiness he wants? No, it definitely does not and it leads him to putting his family in danger. Will the Satan’s Devils help him out? Will he realise that he needs help? I urge anyone and everyone to read this book but please make sure that you have tissues with you as it will tear at your heart. Would give this more than 5 stars if I could!
Hawk’s Cry: Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #2 by Manda Mellett
Five Stars
Hawk’s Cry is the second book in the Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation Series by Manda Mellett. Ms. Mellett is one of my go to authors. She really gets into the hearts and mindset of a MC club. This book is brilliantly written with so many emotions. I was on an emotional roller coaster with this book, grabbing for my Kleenex more than once. The raw emotions and the strong relatable characters make this book something special. I have gobbled up all of the Satan’s Devils books and now onto the Second Generation. This is one of my favorite so far. I would highly recommend this book, series and author. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Mellett has in store for us next.
Once again, Manda Mellett grips you by the heart strings with this second story in Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation series! I highly recommend reading the first book in this series prior to this one…and reading the first series prior to that…to get the full story and details on all the characters you’ll be reading about.
Have you ever felt lost? Like you were supposed to be doing something else with your life? I think we are all kind of directed down a path in life starting with what we learn from our parents as young children. It’s what we know, what is expected of us. Being in an MC must be an even stronger influence. The expectations even higher than in a normal family. Imagine living that life and having everything you ever thought you wanted, being the VP, having you lifelong friend and lover at your side, and having a baby on the way, and suddenly questioning it all. This is Hawk’s story. And it is a powerfully emotional one!
These people have become like family to me reading though this series and I care deeply about what happens to each of them. I went on a journey with Eli (Hawk) and Liv and definitely felt every page. The Satan’s Devils never let me down and this book is no exception! Manda Mellett has quickly become one of my favorite authors and I am constantly left wanting more after each book!
Hawk’s Cry is the second book in the Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation series. It can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the other Satan’s Devils series to get a good feel for the supporting characters. Plus, all of the Satan’s Devils series are excellent reads!
While this book wasn’t as action heavy as some of the previous books, it deals with an issue that many people experience. I don’t want to go into specifics because I don’t want to ruin the impact of the story, but Hawk’s experience is very relatable on many levels.
I am glad that Liv’s character was a strong support character because in so many cases IRL things are not that way. From an emotional standpoint, she is a strong female lead in this story.
This book is a superb read and I can’t wait to see what issue this author tackles in the next book!
