Hawk: The Church Series
Kilian “Hawk” Walker
It started with a menu. I thought I cleaned my plate. Now that job is coming back to haunt me. I thought I left the Church behind, but Albany is dead, and I’m being sucked back in. The clock is ticking, and I have Brooklyn to worry about. I won’t fail her like I did her sister. This time the cost is greater as I introduce myself to a stranger that I … stranger that I know so well.
Brooklyn Creedmoore
I can’t believe it’s real. My sister is gone. I can hardly breathe. Albany and I have always been close. We told each other everything. No one knew my sister better than me. At least I thought that was true until he came into my life. Now everything is upside down, and I’m learning I didn’t know my sister at all. However, somehow I feel like I know this stranger that I’m stuck to in order to save my life.
Who was Albany? Can I still trust my sister? Would she leave me in the path of this sexy, crazy, lethal stranger without a good reason? I have more questions than answers, but I’m going to go with my gut and follow this Hawk. It just might save my life.

I loved this book. Everything about it fed into my own favorite tropes when it came to this type of contemporary. High action, a romance with a good story. The characters were believable and interesting. This couldn’t be better unless it was a movie. The hot scenes were worth every freaking dime.
If you’re looking for something interesting and thought provoking, this is your romance.
It will have you in your feelings, and reaching out to the author like, “Where is book 2 in the series.”
Not a cliff hanger, but leaves you biting your nails in anticipation for the next book.
5 stars!!!! Absolutely divine story, Hawk is the man! This book had me going in circles. Great suspense read and all the characters, Priest, Beast, Many, Seth and Lucien, AKA Twin, Zel and so many more.
This is the story of Kilian Walker, AKA Hawk and Brooklyn AKA Red, or even the Painter? Lol. Hawk works for an organization called the Church and her sister, worked for an organization called the Nunnery. They are tasked in finding out who killed her twin sister and what an action filled, bloody killing, suspense dreading and heart pounding story. I love Hawk, with all the feels and he has officially made it to my book boyfriend list! He was awesome and beautiful with Brooklyn. Now,Brooklyn was a good character, art teacher in fact but there were some dialogues going on in her head, at times, where I was like, “ummm why would you even think that? Hawk is the perfect guy for you.” Gah! Took her a minute but she finally realized what her sister Albany was setting her up for, all along. I have to say though, I did figure out Hawk’s superpower, but it did take me a minute. Lol. Just great writing over all. I cannot wait and I mean this with all haste, I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK!!!!
I just recently began reading Tiya Rayne. I started with Alpha and really enjoyed that one. Now Hawk comes along, and I again really enjoyed this book. The characters were different and intriguing (they kind of reminded me of Shay Rucker’s Mama’s Brood characters}.
You’re easily drawn into the story line and trying to figure out what comes next (and it wasn’t what I thought most of the time !) There’s a huge bombshell that I never figured out until it was told in the story line.
I say of all this to say this was a great read!
Amazing read!
Interesting from beginning to end…
Hawk is a gifted man and he is very attentive. He hides a secret that is revealed near the end. Brooklynn is pretty special herself. Plus she’s strong-willed and a potty mouth to be an elementary school teacher. However, together Hawk and Brooklynn work well together and hold your attention. Just when you thought you have the story figured out, it turns a different direction. I just needed more about how their story ended.
Boy was this an exciting book! Action packed and fast paced! My first experience with this author and I really enjoyed the story. The ending left me baffled?
She’s all I ever wanted.
One of the best book I’ve read this year. This author definitely has a talent for storytelling. Passages reenacted from words transformed into a seamless, digital movie. The plot packed intrigue, drama, sexual tension, and mystery into an unforgettable love story. Hawk, the gifted (“superpowers”), sinfully sexy, alpha totally devoted to the love of his life, Brooklyn, a vulnerable yet spirited heroine, enter an adventure to uncover the truth behind the sister, Albany’s death. Several interesting side characters join the endeavor with their own back stories along the way.
The plot and character development were exceptional; the action scenes, like a leading box-office film. The piercing intensity of Hawk’s feelings for Brooklyn touched my soul. The two shared a heady chemistry. Oh, and calm yet lethal Hawk could put it down not only in sheets but also to defend his lady love. There were also great pockets of humor in the story. That angry cat metaphor scene had me in stitches.
The more the tale unfolded the stronger my personal attachment to the story, the characters. Feelings and character encounters besides internally visual, were palatable. This book left me emotionally wrenched but uplifted.
What do you see when you look at me?
I don’t see what everyone else sees.
What do you see?
My future.
Brava!
