EAT, PRAY, LOVE meets THE LOVE BOAT…a millionaire romance melting the tropics.EAT I have down pat, whether it’s pot noodles in the Solomon Islands or Michelin star cuisine in EuropePRAY – praying for your ex to fall off the Harbour Bridge counts, right?LOVE? Well, love sucks.Corporate lawyer Sara is all about the rules. Until, in a far-too-young-to-have-a-midlife-crisis moment she swaps … far-too-young-to-have-a-midlife-crisis moment she swaps practicing law for cleaning cabins aboard The Spirit of Ohana, five-star dining for onboard buffets, and love for….well, fantasies are a girl’s best friend, right?
At least, they are until one dark and stormy night, when she drags an impossibly attractive, cocky Brit from the ocean…
Rick’s had his fill of gorgeous women throwing themselves at him. Doing his damnedest to spit out the silver spoon that hampers his philanthropic ventures, the last thing he needs is to be rescued from a tropical cyclone only to find himself consumed by Hurricane Sara.
Yet the fiery cabin steward is undeniably intriguing–not to mention, hot as sin, all voluptuous curves and sassy innuendo. But she seems determined to keep him at arms’ length and, for the first time, he’s tempted to commit to the chase.
However, if Sara can’t overcome her distrust of wealthy, entitled men, and Rick’s unable to set aside his belief that women are only after his money, their affair is doomed to be hotter than Kilauea and shorter than the brief cruise.
Each book in The Spirit of Ohana Cruise Ship series is a standalone, featuring swoony romance, hot banter, steamy on-the-page scenes….and a guaranteed HEA

When Rick and Sara step aboard the cruise ship, little did they realise that love was in the stars for them. She’s changed direction from being a corporate lawyer to cleaning cabins and sending money to an orphanage and Rick is trying desperately to avoid the women that throw themselves at him as soon as they know how wealthy he is. But when he gets into trouble and Sara saves him from a watery grave, he isn’t happy being beholden to her – no matter how attracted he is towards her! Can they two avoid the natural and consuming chemistry that sparks between them? This is the first book that Ive read by Laney Kaye but it won’t be the last. I loved how humour was peppered throughout the storyline and the witty banter between the two main protagonists. A great fun , easy to read story that I enjoyed very much. This book is one of those hidden gems in my opinion. I was expecting a book where they see each other and hit it off right away. With a great deal of hot steamy sexy times. That the hero was into having control. Well, he is but not the way I thought. What I got was something more. They have great chemistry and attraction. I also got heavy drama, I would recommend this to anyone!!

They are both red up with their lives and take a step in a different direction. She was cleaning cabin when she saves him from drowning. He is fed up of women wanting his money. They clash so will they realise they need each other? See what will happen between them

A one a kind story that over flowed with sizzling romance, amazing fun wit and a story that just grabbed me from the start and held on for dear life! I LOVED this book a heck of a lot. Sexy and fun and too irresistible!
Hawaiian Hurricane was a sensational read. The plot flowed beautifully and so smoothly and the flow was perfect! I loved Sara and Rick and enjoyed the chemistry between them. Sarah was a fiery, spunky heroine and Rick is incredibly swoon worthy. The story is decadent and won my heart in a matter of, what felt like, minutes. I can’t wait for the next book in this new series!
Hawaiian Hurricane gets a ONE OF A KIND FIVE SENSATIONAL STARS!
These days, bookstore shelves overflow with steamy romance stories featuring spunky, impoverished heroines and headstrong, hunky billionaires. This one stands out among the rest, hitting all that subgenre’s happy buttons, but offering so much more.
Having just left a posting on the Solomon Islands, Australian attorney Sara Grant is working as a steward on the Spirit of Ohana, a cruise ship en route for Hawaii. Her goal: transfer $20,000 to the orphanage where she volunteered before it’s forced to close its doors. On deck one stormy twilight, she spots a small craft below, a figure crumpled on deck. If she hesitates, the boat will be lost in the storm. Waiting for help will mean death for the stranded sailor, so she grabs a life preserver and dives into the waves.
Rick Winchester, über-wealthy Englishman, survives thanks to the “mermaid” who saved him. He’s fascinated by her spunky and intelligence, titillated by her curves and sexy wordplay. Their immediate attraction is scorching, but his offer to reward her financially deeply offends Sara. He has reasons for withholding the full truth of his identity, and she has reasons for being turned off by his cavalier attitude toward wealth—reasons involving her dastardly soon-to-be-ex-husband, Simon. She writes him off as just another entitled playboy.
Unwilling to let her go so easily, Rick cuts a deal with the ship’s captain: a press conference when the reach Hawaii in exchange for the Captain’s help in arranging another meeting with Sara. As Rick’s major domo arranges for Sara’s usual humble lodgings to be fully booked, Rick learns more about Sara’s impending divorce and her financial distress. He’d figured a quick, hot encounter with a married woman would be safe, but Sara’s pull on him strengthens to the point he’s unwilling to let her go. I really enjoyed watching Rick learn how much more there was to Sara than he first perceived, and vice versa.
Complications ensue: her nearly-ex, his interfering mother, her protective friends, etc. In the hands of lesser authors, stories like this can strain credulity. No eye-rolling here: Laney Kaye’s characters are richly nuanced, their obstacles and reactions believable and relatable. The slow-burn romance bloomed like a hothouse flower, one plush petal at a time. The sex scenes smoldered, and the resolution contained a tasty HEA with some surprise twists. Really excellent. I look forward to reading more by this author.
