Agnes and Eleanor land in Hawaii for a trip of a lifetime thanks to a lottery windfall! They plan a host of activities and Agnes even goes along on a snorkeling adventure, even if she’s only going to sun herself on the beach. All doesn’t go according to plans though when she finds a floater wearing scuba gear. Now they have to deal with grieving honeymooners who promptly inform Agnes that it’s … that it’s their guide.
Now the ladies are working alongside the local police, and it’s a Hawaiian adventure of oceanic proportions as they search for the killer.

Very cute and a fun read
Entertaining read. Characters are somewhat unrealistic as the are able to insinuate themselves into police investigation as though they were cops, with no questions asked. Considering it is fiction, it’s still a pretty good read.
did not keep my interest.
couldn’t get into it
This was a cute cozy mystery. The turn off it was the 12 in the series so I wasn’t as familiar with the characters, and they sounded so young that when a reference was made to the older age, it threw me off. Definitely cute and fun, looking forward to reading the other in the series and starting with the first one.
Writing was terrible. Didn’t finish reading it. Disparaging of local culture.
Kinda slow moving. Stereotyping of my generation was irritating
This book has characters that you could get to know and love to meet in another book.
fun easy read…
As always, this book didn’t disappoint!
A fun read
I’m hooked!
Just shows what a couple of older ladies can do.
I always enjoy the Agnes Barton series and was not disappointed in Madison John’s latest book Hawaiian Hangover. Agnes and Eleanor are off on another adventure after a dead body washes up on the beach. The story line keeps you interested until the end even though I had a hard time believing the Hawaiian police would welcome them to the investigation. I did like that the hometown neighbors were not part of this mystery. However, I did figure it out. It is a light and fast read.
I did not like it. I didn’t know any of the background of the characters and As it went on, I did not care about these people. I found the whole plot to be completely silly. and for these amateurs to be welcomed in by the cops–unbelievable.
The main character was a nosey busybody and she just seemed to getvon my nerves at times. Very realistic character. I know people like her.
I could not finish this book, it was sooooo boring, maybe if you were 80 years old like the characters you may find it interesting.
Finally a story with main characters in their middle age.
Fun quick read.
Good to see some senior mysteries relating to people my own age
