Keyes Dixon’s life is challenging enough as a full patch member of the Disciples of Havoc Motorcycle Club but being a gay biker leaves him traveling down one tough road. With an abusive past and his vow to the club cementing his future, he doesn’t believe in love and steers clear of commitment. But a midnight ride leads to a chance meeting with a sexy distraction that has him going down quicker … quicker than a Harley on ice.
Cocky Assistant District Attorney Alec Pierce lives in the shadow of his politically connected family. A life of privilege doesn’t equal a life of love, a fact made obvious at every family gathering. Driven yet lonely, Alec yields to his family’s demands for his career path, hoping for the acceptance he craves. Until he meets a gorgeous biker who tips the scales in the favor of truth and he can no longer live a lie.
Can two men from completely different worlds…and sides of the law…find common ground, or will all their desires only wreak Havoc?
While Havoc is a stand-alone with no cliffhanger, the story continues March 5, 2019.

I have not previously read a book by Kindle Alexander but after reading this the first of the Tattoos and Ties series; I will be waiting anxiously for the next book. I loved it!
Alec and Keyes are so much alike in some ways and obviously polar opposites in others. What really matters about their story is that they are meant to be together. At least I believe that from what I read! I want to scoop up both men and tell them that not all people will judge them and their love harshly and that past hurts can heal and love is real.
They struggle with who they are as individuals and as a couple. Their story could be any couples story with that little extra because they are men in a relationship and the people around them judge that harshly. This story gives you a little peek inside of how wrong some people are and how even though it would be nice to be accepted for who you are, especially by your family, it doesn’t always happen. I love how loving and caring the men are with each other and care enough about each other to struggle to learn each others body language. This story gives me all the feels and I just want more of it!
3.5 stars
While the blurb says that Havoc is a standalone, one should know that the story will continue in Kindle Alexander’s book Order coming out early 2019. I was unaware of this and therefore, unprepared for the rather abrupt ending. Having never read any of Kindle Alexander’s books, I was flying in a bit blind. If you’re expecting a feel good novel with a happy ending, this might not be what you’re expecting but it is a great story.
Keyes Dixon is a fully patched member of the Disciples of Havoc MC but outside of the loyalty to his brothers, he’s never quite belonged. As a gay man in a motorcycle club, he doesn’t fit the profile. Especially since his homophobic dad is a senior part of the club. Enduring the abuse from his upbringing was hard enough but now he’s dealing with it daily since he moved back in after his dad’s accident, out of obligation. Now they work together in the tire shop they own, live together and are a part of the same club, so he can’t escape the abuse thrown his way. While out taking a solitary ride to clear his mind, he encounters the hottest man he’s ever seen and is drawn to him like a moth to a flame. He knows his attraction to him is dangerous; he’s a biker in a notorious 1%er motorcycle club and this polished, rich guy works in the District Attorney’s office. What could go wrong?
Alec Pierce is the cocky, rich Assistant DA struggling with the strings from his politically connected family. He doesn’t want the political life they have planned for him, especially as the token gay man but growing up without the love and affection of parents will make you do things for approval. Meeting Keyes, a hot as hell badboy biker, makes him see he’s not living his own life, merely surviving the one thrust upon him. As these two unlikely bedfellows become closer, they must both confront the lies they live, the love they’ve withheld and whether or not there’s a future for a defender of the law and an uncommon outlaw.
Although I enjoyed the writing, I had difficulty getting into the story in the beginning as I truly disliked most of the other characters in this book. Usually, the family that exists in MC life is such a draw for me but Keys’ abusive father and his lack of connection to most of the brothers left me feeling restless. With Alec, I hated his “default” best friend with the fire of a thousand suns (lol) and never warmed to him. The only people in the entire book I enjoyed were Dev (Keys’ best friend, who I still had issues with) and Key and Alec themselves. There is a genuine affection between these men that was easy to see, even through the push and pull of their relationship and I enjoyed seeing them grow together, although I hated so much that they felt they had to hide from everyone. I look forward to seeing the continuation of their story in the next book.
Personally, as an aside, while I’m not certain it was the author’s intention and I certainly know prejudice exists (everywhere!), I also didn’t care for the way that Dallas was painted as homophobic. We don’t need to further that cliche of the South. There is a largely accepted, active, beautiful LGBT community in Dallas. As a straight native Texan woman that loves all people, I would’ve liked to have seen more of that. That said, I look forward to reading the conclusion of this opposites attract story.

Love this book. Keyes & Alec come from completely different worlds yet are alike in so many ways. A biker and a district attorney couldn’t be more different yet they compliment each other. Their chemistry is off the charts. Oh and the sexy times? HAF! I highly recommend this book. This ends HFN without a cliffhanger. Their story continues in the next installment.
“They hid. Alec behind his tailored suits and Keyes behind his gruff tattooed exterior.”
That synopsis had me too intrigued to pass up a chance to read about an outlaw and a lawyer. You can’t get more #OppositesAttract than that, right? One wears tattoos and the other wears ties. “Alec was light, and Keyes just…wasn’t.
The authors pushed my buttons, targeting my addiction to badass bikers and broken characters. Keyes and Alec pulled my heartstrings as they shared their pain with me. Being inside their heads was heartbreaking as they relived past hurt and present obstacles. They are both hiding something, though being gay isn’t their secret. They’ve been surviving, but not living, their hopes and dreams seeming impossible. Being a patched member of the Disciple of Havoc MC pretty much guarantees Key is the opposite of ‘law and order.’
When using their big heads they knew a future together was impossible, but tell that to their “instinctual connection of lust fueled by desire.” They fought it, but that connection kept pulling them toward each other. As situations beyond their control kept pushing them toward an outcome that would be bad for everyone I knawed my nails to nubs worrying about them.
It wasn’t until I turned the last page that I realized this was a series and I would have to wait for (Tattoos & Ties, #2) to get my answers. The line forms here…
I know looking at the cover you are going to expect one kind of story.
STOP!
Don’t go there. Open your heart to an opposites attract story that will have you swooning and fanning. Kindle Alexander once again delivers a story you can’t wait to read and have MORE!
Just when you thought you have read it all, then comes Keyes and Alec! Two amazing men from two oddly different worlds, but who are so comfortable with each other that life can’t go on any other way. I love all of the Kindle Alexander books, but this one is special. It grabs you from the first scene to the last. No cliffhanger, but a continuation you’ll be anxious for sooner than later 😉
It is no secret that Kindle Alexander is a master at writing very sexy men. Every couple I have read so far has etched a place in my heart and have managed to make me have countless hot flashes with their gorgeousness and hotter than sin sex. Keyes and Alec are no different. This time around, Kindle has given us two men who couldn’t be more opposite. A tattooed biker and an Assistant District Attorney? A match that has all the odds stacked against it from the get to.
Keyes is a quiet guy who has never really fit in but is committed to his MC club. Alec has never fit in with his family and knows what it feels like to be an outsider. On that point, he and Keyes are very much alike and find each other to be a kindred spirit. Other than that, their differences appear to be glaring. But they can’t stay away from each other. When they’re together, the rest of the world falls away. They can’t stay in their bubble forever though…
Lots of things are going on around Keyes and Alec. The club has been targeted by the FBI and the DA’s office. Alec’s father is pressuring him to go for a Judgeship. How are these two men supposed to form any type of relationship when everything in their lives are at complete odds?
I loved seeing Keyes and Alec together. Alec helped Keyes open up so much, and gave him the courage to hope for more, want more in his life than he ever thought possible. And as I mentioned earlier, Kindle knows how to write the sexy. These two guys together are combustible! Melting hot sex, passion off the charts. And seeing them in the everyday, it was amazing to see how thoughtful and conscious Keyes is of Alec at all times.
In the beginning of the book, lots of stuff happens with Keyes’ club and his business and with his sorry excuse for a father. Once Keyes and Alec get together, most of that stuff kind of fell to the wayside with only brief mentions here and there of what’s going on. All of the focus of the book then centers on the two men together and their budding relationship. And while that was great, I think I felt like the nitty gritty stuff with the club and Keyes’ father and with Alec’s future plans and his father should have been woven throughout the chapters. We had a time jump of 5 months and then the book ends, and we find out there is a book 2. So I’m going to be obsessing over the points that are still hanging out there, and I’m hoping that book 2 gives us some really exciting, explosive resolution to all the obstacles standing in the way of Keyes and Alec riding off into the sunset. I can’t wait!
Where do I start …. well I guess I start with this is a MUST read, I have come to expect a lot from the ladies we know as Kindle Alexander and Havoc was everything I expected and more .
I don’t want to write a review that’s full of spoilers I think the blurb tells you everything you need to know before picking up this love story that at times will certainly tug at your heartstrings.
Two guys from very different worlds with an instant attraction for each other can they make it work or will their lifestyle’s destroy the love they share, this story is really a journey it shows us that in life we may face tragedy and hard times but when we least expect it something wonderful comes along and completely blows our minds it shows us there might not always be gold but there is always hope at the end of the rainbow. This book ticked every box for me I loved the characters, the plot captivated me and I’m so pleased that this is just the start for Keyes Dixon and Alec Pierce. Looking forward to the next instalment of Tattois and Ties. Great job Kindle Alexander
When this incredible writing team get together to write a new book you put down whatever your doing and get cozy to read a book you know you will get engrossed in from the very first page knowing you are going to fall in love with their new characters. That’s what happens when you meet D.A Alec Pierce & Biker Keyes Dixon.
A chance encounter these two men know their is a connection from the moment they meet but when you come from two very different worlds how can anything come from it. You will see so many different emotions, self doubt, jealousy, lust and maybe even love but the biggest question you will ask can they overcome it all and be the couple they deserve to be.
How to start this review…… I have no idea because I don’t want to give anything away because this is a MUST MUST read by all! I love Kindle’s writing because she draws you into this world where you are there and you can feel every happiness, sadness, doubt, fear. and trust. Havoc has it all, it is such an AMAZING push and pull story that will have you cheering on Keyes and Alec.
Alec is a rich man and has a great job but he does not have the one thing he craves for and that is love. Keyes lives for his club and his ailing father. His brothers accept the fact that he is gay but his father is a douche and harrasses him everytime he can.
Then Keyes meets Alec on a dark road that is not safe to be on alone and helps him out. From there that is where the story takes off and when I say takes off you will be at the edge of your seat reading so fast saying oh my God and no way that can’t happen and why oh why won’t you let him in.
Okay enough for now before I give away the whole book so HAPPY READING oh yeah one more thing you will need a very TALL glass of ice when these two get together…… just saying…..
This book was totally different to what I’m use to. And I absolutely loved it. Author did so well; to describe their feelings and thoughts.
I loved both characters, and keep wondering how they will make this work.
I can’t wait for more.
This is my first book by this author and I will be going back to read more! Keyes and Alec were two Alpha males that couldn’t come from more different backgrounds. Key is there part of an MC whilst Alec works for the DA office. They have one thing in common well the most glaringly obvious their fathers do not like that they are gay. Key’s father constantly tears him down and Alec’s father wants to use him for political gain. There is an instant chemistry between the two, but Key wants to deny it. This story was an emotional roller coaster for me and I really wanted to punch the DA. They have to keep their romance asecrets because the DAs office is prosecuting Key’s MC and it would look bad for Key to show up with the assistant DA on his arm. This book is left with the a lot of unanswered questions, I can’t wait for the continuation of this story!! I highly recommend this book!
This is the first book in a new series from this talented author, and what an amazing introduction this is! Keyes is a tough bad boy biker, and Alec is assistant DA. These two are total opposites, yet when they meet they are unable to deny the intense explosive chemistry between them. Will they be able to keep their love story secret? No spoilers; this is an absolute must read, you will not be disappointed! This is a beautifully written story which had me totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I cannot wait to read the next book in this brilliant series. I highly recommend this authors’ work for all M/M lovers out there.
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with this book but may I say I was very pleasantly surprised. The author has written a very good storyline that will break your heart at times and scorch your insides at others. As for the characters, Just WOW… two very sexy males from two very different lifestyles, who have with fathers that you’d just like to bob over the head. Keyes is a biker whose father rides him every day for being gay. Alec is a very rich attorney whose father tries to control every aspect of his life and use his son’s LGBT connections to further his own political career, while quietly disapproving of his son.
Keyes and Alec meet late one night when Alec has a flat tire on a desolate road. Keyes stops to help and since he owns a tire shop got Alec on his way in no time. They both feel a spark but aren’t sure of the other. Alec is known for going after what he wants and he wants Keyes. But these two come from two very different worlds; Keyes is an outlaw biker and Alec is a District Attorney. A totally impossible situation that would ruin both of them if they connected. Can they find a way to make it work without Alec losing his career and Keyes the only home and brotherhood he’s ever known?
This is a wonderful read. While not a cliffhanger per say, Alec and Keyes story continues in book 2 of the Tattoos and Ties Series and this reader can’t wait. 5 stars and 2 Thumbs up for a great beginning to the series.
Opposites attract. Two words that definitely describe the intense love affair between Keyes Dixon and Alec Pierce. Wow these two have a chemistry that was apparent right from the start and I was consumed immediately. Kindle Alexander did not hold back with this first book in the Tattoos and Ties series. They once again give us the very best in the M/M genre as they put together a combustible kind of romance that is full of every kind of emotion. I honestly could not put it down!
With Alec and Keyes we get two men who couldn’t be more different if they tried. But that doesn’t keep their feelings locked down even when they know that their worlds might just be far too different to keep their lust and deep like for one another afloat. The attorney and the biker. On paper it looks almost laughable. But damn, Alexander makes it work almost effortlessly.
The requisite sex scenes are as always, some of the best written in this genre and with each new tryst, Alec and Keyes couldn’t help but fall for one another. But this secret romance, one that has each of them revealing deep-held thoughts to each other is enough to keep their souls in knots. I love these guys and I just want them happy. And they are, for now as they say. I can only keep my fingers crossed that Alec’s uptight and rich family together with Keyes’s MC brothers will accept these two as a couple and just simply let them love one another.
Getting lost in the words of Kindle Alexander is always a joy and I can’t wait to read the next installment early next year. I do believe Keyes and Alec will join the long line of favorite couples that only Kindle Alexander can deliver.
Havoc is another beautifully written story that is as heartfelt as it is sexy, and I give it a solid 5 stars.
Despite needing the conclusion to the this book, this book is a freaking 5-star read, and I seriously need book 2!! ASAP!!!
This book sucked me in right from the beginning. Kindle Alexander delivers a brilliantly told emotional story shrouded in mystery and suspense, and lots of drama, with Havoc. Wow!! From the very beginning I was pulled in by all of the mystery and pressure that I felt jumping off the pages surrounding Keyes and Alec’s life choices as well as the push and pull each was having to deal with from their family. Let me just say these two come from two very interesting backgrounds and families, and I am not sure I would want to be a part of either. Keyes is a member of the Havoc Disciplines Motorcycle Club, a club for which he was born into, and Alec, a district attorney, who is a member of a prominent wealthy Texas family. You will say there is no way these two should ever be in the same universe unless it is on opposite sides of the courtroom, but at last fate steps in in the form of a car accident, and the rest as they say is history.
The heartfelt story that unfolds between Keyes and Alec is absolutely beautiful and is told as only Kindle Alexander can tell a story. Oh, and yeah, the chemistry because these two gorgeous men is explosive!! But umm…that ending??!! Yeah, I need book 2!! Thank you!!
Keyes and Alec are amazing!! Kindle Alexander writes a fantastic story once again!! I loved everything about this book!! I devoured it in one sitting and can’t wait to see what Kindle Alexander has in store for us next!! Keyes and Alec are great additions to my harem!!

Phew! That was Hot!
Havoc tells the story of Keyes Dixon and Alec Pierce, and it’s a blazing hot story of forbidden love. Keyes is a biker and manages the tire shop that his family and club own. Alec is an assistant district attorney from a well to do family, and Keyes and Alex are as opposite as they come. They both grew up in two different worlds, and they also live and work in them as well. Keyes was riding one of his bikes when he comes across Alec. The road was dark and in a bad part of town when he sees Alec with two flat tires.
Their chemistry was off the charts, and the sex scenes were smoking hot! I seriously needed a cold shower afterward. The storyline was captivating, and I was on the edge of my seat throughout the book.
Looking forward to the next book in the series!

Havoc is the first book in the Tattoos and Ties series by the amazing women behind the Kindle Alexander name. I have been waiting for a new book from them and it was so worth the wait! As always. I will try to make this fast so I don’t spoil anything.
Keyes was born into this life. He is a member of the Disciples of Havoc Motorcycle club and runs their tire shop business. He grew up in the club and is loyal to his brothers. He is also loyal to his father even though he wants to punch him in the face most of the time. Being gay and in the rowdy club of bikers and club whores hasn’t been easy but it’s his life. It’s his past and it’s his future. He had nothing else. They were his family. And the only ones in his life. Until one night when he was taking a ride and helped out a stranger on the side of the road.
Alec grew up in privilege. He went to boarding school while his father was in politics. Alec was now working in the DA office in Texas. He was new to this state and only had one friend, Blaine and even they were growing apart. Then he meets a sexy as sin biker in the middle of the night on a sketchy part of road. He wasn’t sure if the man in leather felt the heat between them but he wanted to find out. They were night and day but something was there.
Keyes and Alec are from two different sides of the tracks. The law even. Can they find a way to be together? And if so, can it really be for more than one night? Was it worth the risk? Alec could be fired. Keyes could be banned or even worse.
Damn. This book is full of heat, fun, and the unexpected. I loved every minute of it. The characters are lovable, strong, funny, and so hot. I mean…look at that cover! I am so excited for the next book!
Quotes:
“I’m here to repay your kindness. That’s all.” Shit, that sexy voice smoothed over him like a rich piece of melted chocolate and a warm, welcoming blanket on a cold night.
“I’m being real. You’ve lived here a year and have no friends. You’re in this big house all alone all the damn time. Your best friend’s an automated voice from Amazon.”
“Your heartbeat’s accelerating. Stop whatever you’re thinking unless it’s the anticipation of me inside you. Then carry on.”
Well hello there Keyes and Alec!!! Opposites do attract!! This book proves that love doesn’t care what one does for a profession or what you wear. It’s what underneath that matters.
Alec has only ever wanted his family’s acceptance and love and will do whatever it takes to get it. Even take a job that he really doesn’t want. His friend Blaine is like a puppy that’s off of his meds. He’s just jumping all over the place. lol
When Alec meets Keyes the attraction is instantaneous and fire hot! They both can’t get each other out of their minds but the repercussions of who they are means that they can’t have a relationship. BUT what happens when that attraction just burns too hot to forget each other, what if they don’t want to forget? What if they want more than they’ve ever wanted before? Can they find a way for their love to overshadow everything else?
Alec and Keyes will steal a piece of your heart and I was cheering for them through the whole book. I wanted to punch Keyes dad in the face so many times!!! He’s a piece of work that one is! I cannot wait for the next book because I honestly forgot this was a CH until I was getting close to the end. I was wondering how they were going to wrap it up that quickly when I was at 90%, now I know lol
