I named myself. I took the word Animal out of their mouths, wore it like a badge of honor then shoved it down their throats. I’ve fought for what I have. I see you coming, before you even know you want a piece of me. In a city riddled with warring families, I’ll rise up between them. My people, the broken souls I gather will have power by the time I’m done with them.I protect mine.Him. My … mine.
Him. My brother, Nix.
Her. The girl that is the only home I’ve ever had. She knows me.
I’m coming at you, Sweetness. Stay ready.

You know when you start a book and your heart just hangs out in your throat for the majority of it. The kind of book that makes your heart race and your blood pump thanks to the action, the emotions and intensity. Yeah. That’s Havoc. It’s heart wrenching and heartbreaking. You might want to punch the hero in the junk. You might also want to slap him on the back of the head and give him a big huge hug, and when you get to THAT PART–the one where you have to read frantically to get past it before your heart explodes in your chest–you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.
I love this story. Just like MERCY it’s unconventional and different, and such an incredibly special tale of loss, love and hope
ADORABLE!
I just loved Animal & T!
And of course Nix and Becca and Ember and Merck too!
Such an amazing family! Different. Crazy. Criminal. Loving. Perfect.
This was such a great book. I loved the teenager chapters. So heartbreaking!
The romance part was a bit lost in all that criminal activity and other stuff… but it was still very adorable!
Animal is so sweet and smart and … I just love him. The way he loves his family, his brother. The way he calls Nix baby or Sweetness – adorable! And T. Such a sad little girl. She had to be so strong since she was a tiny kid and she became a badass woman!
Amazing story!
Can’t wait to get started with Ember’s book now!
I love the history plot, easy to read, little dark , T and Animal Are a great characters
Love, loyalty, Family and more, Congratulations Debra for this amazing book
Oh, Animal!
That man. Oh, he did it for me in Mercy. His use of sweetness and baby had me wanting more.
What I did not expect out of this book was T. She was everything I could have wanted in a heroine and more. She was independent, strong, feisty, smart, kick-ass, and all the things you could imagine or want out of a heroine.
The relationship between Animal and T isn’t what you expect. It begins before you think, it’ll take you places you didn’t realize you needed to go, and you’ll love and hate the ride at the same time.
I want more of this family. Mercy and Havoc just aren’t enough. There has to be another book! I’m ready for it.
I think.
This book! Where do I even start on reviewing this?! Debra Anastasia has done it again with Havoc, and I am simply at a loss for words. I had to sit on this book and the hangover it gave me for a while before I could recover enough to write a review. This book is everything. I devoured every word of T and Animals story and even through the heartbreak of it all, enjoyed every moment!
In Havoc, we get Animal’s story! We first met him in Mercy and I was very skeptical to see his story in Havoc, knowing how he was in the prior book. Going in I did have doubts about how the author would make this work, and just how she was going to make me fall head over heels for our Alpha male. Let me just tell you, that we start their story back when they were kids still at a very young age. We learn all their backstory and the devastation they both had in their lives that lead them to one another. She gives us such a heartbreaking backstory that you pretty much fall in love with Animal when he’s just a young kid. A large amount of the book is their past and when we make it to present day, Animal as a man is this giant, powerful and dominating character. When the two are reunited after over a decade apart, their worlds collide into one another’s and you just know that you will never be the same! Their history was heartbreaking enough, but once they are together again, it’s even more anguish to watch as things don’t go as you are anticipating. The amount of angst in this book was by far the most I think I’ve ever seen; In any book, ever! Animal and T will wreck you, break you, and put you back together like you never knew you were shattered to begin with. I enjoyed this story immensely and can’t wait to see Emerson’s’ story next, out this summer!
As we’d already met Fenix “Bones”and his Becca in Mercy, it was just obvious we’d get his best friend and saviour of sorts, Animal his own book. He was extremely intriguing, insanely sexy, brute lover of a man, managing a nefarious business organisation. Their journey was documented in Mercy but this one is Animal’s story. His childhood, his best friend and companion/best friend-T. It definitely had meat, I mean when you’re associated criminal and earning boatloads of money, and ridiculously handsome at that, you’d be leading a glamorous life, wouldn’t you. Girls, money, guns & the whole shebang. But it’s far, far from truth. In fact, Animal keeps his senses all the time, and is just using women, a lot of women, to just offload and destress !. His life is missing a meaning because he has had toughest of childhood.
He desperately wanted to belong, to be loved and love somebody….anybody! Too bad that the people he loved, couldn’t reciprocate, and the people who did, he couldn’t find love for in his heart. He would’ve fallen into the system cracks and ended up in juvie and prison, had it not been for Merck, the Good Cop, who saved him multiple & crucial times and guided his life.
On his way to adulthood and success, T steps in and out of his life. They’re the classic NOT meant-to-be couples!!
“she knew my deal, and I knew hers. We tried to watch each other’s back it was hard though, we were tied to separate rafts in the middle of monsoon. we were trying to survive”
Their’s is a disturbed relationships. She has paranoia and claustrophobia ridden life, he has abandonment issues and disassociative disorder.
“she was a runner. some people couldn’t take locked doors . she wanted an open door or a cracked window, when she was locked in she started dying .”
A very interesting dynamic entails their story. She’s a single minded, driven and disciplined warrior. A strong woman, who shields her heart, yet is very upfront about her feelings.yet her loyalty and Love is unquestionable and steadfast
I only love once, Animal
I found many improbable happenings and story holes. I really needed answers to them. The plot is rich but fell a little short of the usual Debra Excellence
But still go and read the book
4 stars
Fast-paced and unpredictable, Debra Anastasia wreaked havoc on my heart in the best way possible. Havoc is suspenseful, hot, and fearless–a total must read!

M/F Thriller romance

This is Animal’s story. He is an enigma. Protective, dangerous, a loner. I really enjoyed his story. There was a complexity to him that you really got to know. I loved the way he and Nix related, as well as the relationship between him and Mareck.
Animal’s history is both tragic and wonderful, because it created him.
T is another entity that you really get to know. She is fierce and will do anything for those she loves. I love that she only loves once, but it can also be to her detriment.
The secondary characters in this story help make it whole and the relationships that develop throughout are family connections that will take hold and never let go.
Watching the romance really play out was both heartbreaking and emotional. There were several times when I wanted to yell and scream. Others where I wanted to just cry on behalf of whomever was needing it. It ran the gamut of emotions.
I can’t wait for more – this story was a good, well developed romance. Love truly does conquer.

After reading Nix and Becca’s story, I was super excited to get Animal’s story. I absolutely LOVED this story. Although I’ll say I wasn’t really sure how T was going to fit into the romance part of the story… in the end, it all makes sense.
The tension and heartbreak that we feel throughout the story is very well written. Oh, the angst. Reading how Animal and T grew up and the situations they were dealing with… fantastic. It’s so hard to say how much I loved it and what I loved about it without giving much away.
The romance doesn’t start early on, it is something that we have to see build and grow and then the epiphany.
I can’t wait to get Ember’s story.

Loved it! I really loved that the villain was a woman.
I don’t know where to start, I loved Animal in Mercy he was protector and so dedicated to his little family , but getting to see where he began and why he is the way he is was overwhelming. My heart heart for these kids and I know they would hate that. Animal comes from the system he is bounced around in foster care he is hungry and always just a decent guy he could have really been a punk and I would have understood, He has a best friend T that is homeless and they try to help each other out , but again they are still just kids that have to be adults . T is my girl crush this chick is the strongest female character ever, she is so brave and strong and does anything for her people. After a horrible night T runs away she cant go to a foster home she has a Mom and Only loves once, she cant have another Mom.
Havoc is trying to set up his own thing he is running the town and keeping all the mob enemies peaceful, he is just perfect at the leadership role, he just happens to run into T again and she joins Animal and Nix (she could probably take them both out) When Nix gets kidnapped these two really find out the whole don’t know what you got till its gone phrase means.
Just read this book it is busy and gritty and when Animal finally realizes what T means to him its too late. Freaking Beautiful, Overwhelming, Unforgettable.
This is a must buy author for me. Every book she writes makes me laugh, and some make me cry. In Havoc, she has dealt with some touchy subjects like homelessness and mental illness and how it affects children. She does so with humor and yet you feel the pain of the very real human emotions of loneliness, fear, hopelessness that these children experience. And the toll it takes on relationships as adults. She grabs hold of your heart and squeezes it until you think you can’t take it any more. But then she release it and you realize that love heals. Hope is always present. Family isn’t necessarily biological ties. And laughter heals. I can’t wait for the next book.
I’m loving me some Animal. I liked that we got his past and what a very lovable protective guy he is. T is a straight up warrior ninja badass. Love her character so much. There were a couple of chapters in the middle where I felt like I was watching an action movie. Stuff was going down. Pass the popcorn! Great story. Can’t wait for Embers book.
A wonderful tale of hardship and then rising from the ashes. These two are amazing! I loved looking into the background of Havoc. I still say His relationship with Nix is just awesome. T is a woman I would be proud to know! Although I might be intimidated by her. She impresses the heck out of me and she is the perfect mate for Animal. I think I would have liked it a bit more if Animal would have had a little interest in her throughout but didn’t want to go there because they are friends. I loved getting to see Becca, Nix and the whole crew again!
I listened to this on audio. The narration is top notch! It made me fall even more for these characters. I am starting the next in this series now!
This book!!! I have no words. I adored Animal in Mercy, but you get the full picture of him in this one. This book took me through all the feels. It’s definitely been a wild ride for him and T. This author has quickly become one of my favorites with her writing.
Animal…what a beast! T, what a savage!
From a complex past to an even more complex future…I devoured all that was Havoc in one sitting. Debra Anastasia can write romance, action, intrigue, drama and angst…so, so good!
Highly recommend this friends to lovers, complicated love story!
Animal and T are a match made in slayer heaven. T is a superhero, a dark protector of those and loves, a genius and goddess all in one.
Animal is a fiercely loyal, loving and dedicated protector. He loves with all he is and that is quite a lot.
My only complaint about the book was that they didn’t wack the lunch lady.
Omg everyone needs a ride or die like T in their life. Such a captivating book that show that we can ultimately can be our own worst enemy in life sometimes. The struggle that Animal and T go through for each other is just mind blowing at times. Once again an amazing roller coaster of romcom action pack goodness. I bought the audiobook for this one and let me tell you audiobooks make books even better. Voiced exactly how I imagined. So perfect!
Oh my goodness, this book broke my heart and then hot glued it back together. T and Animal’s story is heartbreakingly beautiful. Another amazing read by the amazingly talented Debra Anastasia.
How have I lived this long without knowing Animal and T? Their story was so good! All the angst was about to kill me. I loved the characters and the storyline. It was different than anything over read before. Debra Anastasia has become a new favorite author!
Yessss i got a book about Animal and T!! This one i really loved. It was even better cause we got to see Nix and Becca again and all the other crazy characters. Cant wait to read Ember’s book!
