Have my baby. That was what my single dad best friend Seth said to me while I was waitressing at the diner. His little girl wants a sibling. But Seth is a workaholic millionaire and doesn’t have time to meet someone.Someone who won’t screw him over, like his kid’s mother. Only problem is this someone has secretly been in love with him since high school. I’ve been hiding it forever, not wanting to … love with him since high school. I’ve been hiding it forever, not wanting to risk our friendship.
Sleeping with him is my biggest fantasy. And I’ve fantasized plenty, being a virgin. Another thing he doesn’t know.
Now I have to make the biggest decision of my life.
Is having a no strings attached affair just to make a baby better than never having him at all?
Author’s note: this case of insta-love and insta-naked-time has been brewing for over a decade. Babymaking has never been so hot…or so funny…or so complicated.

I loved this awesome read by Taryn Quinn. My first but definitely not my last from Ms Quinn
Its funny, sexy and sweet friends to lovers story that is full laughter and love.
I am glad that they got their happy ever after ending.
I look forward to reading more of the series.
I must admit that every time Taryn Quinn come out with a new book, it becomes my favorite of hers. This one surpasses the others by far. The beginning of this was so different in that Seth wants another baby. He wants to give his daughter a sibling like he had. Someone to share with and argue with. Problem is he’s divorced. He turns to his best friend, Alison. He’s friend zoned her but since her mother’s passing, there’s nothing keeping her in town. It scares him that she could leave at any moment. He offers her the college education that she’s always wanted in exchange for a baby. Ally is floored by the offer. Not because it’s everything she’s ever wanted but because he thinks she could walk away from a baby. Laurie, Seth’s daughter, means the world to Ally. Not to mention, Seth wants to make the baby the traditional way. Oh, and Ally’s a virgin.
I loved these two characters. Ally has been in love with Seth since they met in high school but hasn’t been able to catch his attention that way. Nor was she trying. She was too busy taking care of her sick mother. And her mother was all she had. She worked hard to make sure her mother had a roof over her head and medicine to take. She was even in Seth’s first wedding to Laurie’s mother to support Seth as his friend.
Seth is just blind. Not in this book because his vision comes back with halos and everything. He sees Ally in a totally different way once he makes his case to have another baby. He even becomes “uncomfortable ” around her to the point where he has to calm down before standing up. I love that! His blinders have come off and he realizes how much he needs her in his life. Laurie needs Ally too. She is four going on fourteen and needs that woman, but not just any woman. Ally has been there from her beginning, more so than her own mother. And Seth will do anything for Laurie. She is the apple of her father’s eye.
I loved this read. It had me laugh, cry,and even yell out loud at the things that come out of both their mouths. I can’t wait to see where this series goes if this is only the first. I’ll be here sitting in the corner, chewing my nails until the next one.
was a little iffy about reading this book. After reading the blurb I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy it or if it would hold my attention. But I decided why not? I love books by Taryn Quinn and the writing is always excellent so I’ll give it a shot! Boy am I ever glad I did!
This is the first book in the Dirty DILF’s series. It’s about Seth Hamilton and his best friend Ally Lawrence. They have been best friends since high school, although Ally has always felt more for him but never let it be known. Seth has an adorable daughter Laurie that he is raising on his own, with help from Ally. His daughter has let it be know that she wants a little sister, or a puppy LOL! And since Seth doesn’t trust women (or relationships in general) he decides to ask his best friend to have his baby so he can give his daughter a sibling. Ally is a down to earth woman who has had a crappy life. Her mother had cancer through high school and her young adult years, so she put her own life on hold to help take care of her. Not because she had to, but because she loved her mother. Her mother has now passed away and Ally is struggling to make ends meet while still thinking about her own dreams. And when Seth asks her to have his baby? That completely throws her and sparks fly!
I loved this book from start to finish. I was hooked from the moment I started reading and couldn’t put it down until I finished it. It was that good. Ally is snarky, sweet, loving and just generally a great character! Her other best friend cracked me up from the get go (and I honestly can’t wait to read a book about her!!) and the way she always has her back is just awesome! Seth is just a sweet man. He was born to money but he doesn’t act like a lot of people who have that kind of money do. His childhood wasn’t great, his mother left and his father was never truly there the way a parent should be. He is close to his brother, although he doesn’t realize a few things about his brother (and I hopeful Oliver will have a book too). Seth loves his daughter more than anything and you can tell that just by the interactions between them. Laurie, omg Laurie, this little girl is so adorably cute! Even with her mother not being in the picture, she is so well adjusted and just generally happy that you couldn’t help but to love her. And then to throw all these characters together into a book? I loved it! I was so glad they figured out in the end what everyone else knew from the beginning! This was another book that was well written with such great characters that i fell in love with it! Can’t wait for the next one!!
This book will steal your heart! Five stars!
I was very interested in how this story was going to develop. Ally and Seth have been best friends for many years, even though she has been nurturing a crush on him for quite some time, and they have never crossed that line. Ally stood by his side through his ill-fated marriage and has been an honorary aunt to his little girl (who is a total scene stealer!). So, when Seth decides he wants his daughter Laurie to have a sibling, without the confines of having to deal with another relationship, Ally is the obvious choice right?
I fell in love with this story and rooted so hard for this little family to come together. The sex scenes are hot, the inevitable conflict and struggles are believable without being too over-the-top, and the side characters are endearing (well, most of them).
Pick this one up if you want a HEA that was so many years in the making you’ll find yourself cheering at the end.
P.S. Can’t wait for Seth’s brother’s story too, his character really intrigued me by the end!
Oh my gosh you guys – I really loved this story. Is there anything sexier than a hot single guy taking care of his child?
Seth is the DILF (Dad I’d like to foolaroundwith) who has this to say about himself: “I wasn’t an idiot. I knew that among many women of childbearing age, I was considered something of a prize. An employed man who was willingly parenting his child singlehandedly…was basically a unicorn except my horn was in my pants. And many of them wanted to ride it” hahahaaha. There were times I definitely did not like Seth and wanted to tell him that he should leave Ally alone, but most of the time I really liked him.
Ally and Seth are best friends who have been with each other through thick and thin. Well he’s her best guy friend, her best girl friend is Sage (crossing fingers that Sage gets her own story soon). Ally is not from the same side of town as Seth but that has never bothered him. Seth asks for a HUGE favor and it changes their relationship.
This is a fast read that was hot and sweet and swoon worthy all at the same time. There were times that I shed a few tears and times when I was laughing out loud. Seth’s daughter is sweet and precocious and I hope we get to watch her grow up.
I absolutely recommend this Taryn Quinn book.
This was my first book by this writing duo but definitely not my last! I really enjoyed this friends to lovers romance between Ally and Seth and what they were trying to build together. I loved the introduction to this small town and cannot wait to see what other pregnancy incidents occur to the residents of this town!
Seth Hamilton becomes a dad much sooner than he plans and ends up divorced before he knew it. He never regrets his daughter and he thankfully has his long time bestfriend Allie Lawrence to help him navigate being a single father. This was a wonderful friends to lovers romance. Seth and Allie’s chemistry is off the charts!
I loved this book so much! I’m a huge fan of friends to lovers stories and Seth and Ally were great together. Seth’s daughter, Laurie was so adorable and she totally captured my heart in every scene she was in. Seth’s love for his daughter was so heartwarming and I really enjoyed how close she and Ally were. The writing duo of Taryn Quinn did a terrific job with the storytelling and creating characters you can fall in love with.
I’ve had this book on my kindle for years now, but I never got around to it because I wasn’t sure if it would be cheesy or not. I decided to finally read it after seeing a snippet of it on Books+Main in the friends to lovers category. And guys this snippet was HOT! Like holy moly passion and that totally showed in the book too! This is a steamy single dad, friends to lovers, planned pregnancy book that will keep you entertained the whole time you’re reading it!
Seth was such a comical character at times. He is realizing his feelings for his best friend throughout this book and watching him fumble over himself was quite a change from what it seems is his typical smoothness. He is also such a swoony dad! I am a total sucker for the sweet family moments in books and this one definitely has that!
Ally was a cute, quirky, and absolutely relatable character. She has had a crush on her best friend for a while and Seth’s forwardness and change of pace completely throws her off. There are moments throughout the book that she had me laughing out loud from her actions. She has an idea of what she wants for her future, but everything changes when Seth proposes the baby plan and she doesn’t quite know how to handle everything that it could change. Ally was such a kindhearted character and she was the perfect addition to this little family.
Seth and Ally definitely have some pent-up passion that all comes out when they finally get together! The steam within the pages of this book is hot!
This is a light-hearted read that will have you giggling and smiling throughout it. I enjoyed this as a change of pace from super dark or emotional reads.
Such a sweet story.
A sexy single parent, best friends to lovers, unrequited love, an adorable little girl and an unexpected proposal: “have my baby”.
It was a really good read, full of feelings, but not angsty. Seth and Ally are adorable and Laurie was the cherry on top.
The story kind of dragged out a little, but it was really enjoyable.
I’m excited for the next books in the series.
There is so much going on in this book, and all of it is good. The complexities of the relationships between families, friends, exes, and children reminded me of real life and how things don’t always wrap up neatly the first, second, or even third time.
In the beginning, I was disappointed in Seth for the terms he proposed when asking Allie to have his baby. I thought he couldn’t possibly be that dense to not know what was wrong with that arrangement. I was a little disappointed in Ally, too, for not spelling that out for him. Here was a sassy, intelligent and above all, loving woman not standing up at a critical time.
This is a great romance with both sides having their share of drama and angst, but none of it too over the top. It broke a few stereotypes about single parenting. It was a great start to a series in that it introduced us to some other characters, but not in an overwhelming way. I look forward to reading the next book about Seth’s twin brother Oliver.
Oh my goodness! What was there not to like, no love, about this book! From beginning to end I couldn’t stop flipping the kindle pages to find out what was going to happen next. Was Ally going to keep running or would Seth and Laurie finally win her over? This was pure heaven for me and I cannot wait to keep going and good thing I have the next one queued up and waiting for me. Yay me!
Well written, fun story. I liked the way the story moved along with the main characters. Enjoyed the sense of family portrayed in this book.
I have to admit, I am glad I continued this series just to sate my curiosity about the other famed Hamilton twin. Because honestly, based off this one I would have been has wishy washy as Ally was about reading the other books.
For 13 years Ally has pined away for Seth. She’s loved him since high school, but having to be her mother’s caretaker takes priority over anything and everyone else. Once her mother dies, she’s left in limbo on deciding if she should stay in Crescent Cove or finally move along to obtain her education she’s wanted.
However, everything might change for Ally’s situation when her best friend asks her to have his baby. But getting horizontal with the man she’s pined for and watched marry another woman and raise his daughter will cross lines that Ally isn’t sure should be crossed.
Okay, so my issues with this book.
Ally constantly second guesses everything Seth does or every move she makes in this story. I can understand not wanting to cross the line between friendship and lovers, but come on! He asked to get horizontal with you and fill you up with his baby batter!!! Lines have already been crossed.
Seth…oh boy…he is the typical clueless male. These two have been friends for 13 years! He watched Ally everyday take care of her mother and was there for her when she died, yet he honestly believes that Ally will take him up on an offer to have his baby and not have anything to do with it?!?!?!?! His excuse for wanting another baby is because his daughter plants the idea in his head…she’s 4 of 5…one day she wants a brother or sister and the next day she’s gonna want a pony….is he going to buy his daughter her every wish? Besides he’s admitted he’s a workaholic and doesn’t spend as much time as he wishes with his daughter and yet he wants to add another child to that mix?
I am not sure what to think of this story. Their relationship was stilted at best. Then they get their HEA? What? Why? Just didn’t get it.
This is just the BEST story! I am normally not into baby stories. I had heard this is good and decided to give it a try. I am impressed. It’s full of fun moments. Some I can’t believe this moments. As well as sexy moments. Their first kiss was sooo hot! This also includes some kid time. Let me say that child was such a great add to the story! She always seemed to lift it up at the most appropriate times.
Secondary characters…Sage and Oliver and Laurie (child). Sage is and awesome Best (Girl) friend of Allie. She get more outrageous as the story progresses. Oliver is the twin brother of Seth. He likes to be there for his bro and watches his niece (Laurie) when Seth needs help. His attitude is stand-offish. He seems stuffy and when he and Sage hang out…it’s funny!
This is my first book by this author. Again I am so pleased I picked it up. She had my interest in the beginning and it didn’t wane. I did listen to this on audio and Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott were amazing! They almost spoil me. The way they put the emotions in their voices is great but my fav thing is he reads all the boy parts and she the girls. It makes it so much easier to follow along.
Next please!

Have My Baby
Crescent Cove, Book 1
By: Taryn Quinn
Narrated by: Wen Ross, Kai Kennicott
I loved everything about this book, from Taryn Quinn’s wonderful writing style to the characters and storylines they created. This is the 1st book of their fantastic “Crescent Cove” series, each book features a different couple and can be enjoyed as a stand-alone. This is Ally and Seth’s story. Ally was busy most of her life taking care of her ailing Mom, her two constants in her life were her best friends Sage and Seth. After a failed marriage, Seth is not sure he could trust another woman. His ex used him and left him and their 4 year old daughter, Laurie. He loves his daughter with all his heart and is willing to give her anything she wants, including another sibling. He comes up with a proposition for Ally, he would give her something she always wanted if she had his baby. I adored these characters, they were great together and for each other. Ally was awesome with Laurie too. I love how everything plays out in this book, the story is well plotted and has a natural flow to it it, there is plenty of drama, some laughs, a touch of angst and a beautiful friends to lovers romance sure to put and leave a smile on your face. Thank you Taryn Quinn for another amazing story and fun & emotional rollercoaster ride.
I listened to the Audible edition, Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott are wonderful narrators and voice artists. They bring the characters to life, humanize them by giving each their own voice and personality. They do a great job projecting the characters emotions as well as the drama of the story into their performance, which is a wonderful duet performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen
Ally and Seth’s story is amazing. Fifteen years bumbling around their feelings for one another is almost too much. And a little comical. Looking forward to more in the series. Loved this book.
Ally and Seth have been best friends since high school. Ally has been in love with Seth for the longest time, all the while not knowing that he’s in love with her too. Raising his daughter Laurie by himself after divorcing his now ex-wife, Seth decided that Laurie should have a sibling- but this time he wants it with Ally! The story follows their relationship as they navigate through the challenges of shifting from friends to lovers.
I think the story is entertaining and the characters and their dialogue were written well and the sex scenes were steamy. I especially liked the banter between Ally’s other best friend Sage and Seth’s twin brother Oliver.
What I didn’t like, though, was the way Laurie was made to sound. This character sounded awkward and had me wincing and dreading having to listen to the next scene she’d be in. Other than that, the narration was great.
I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.
This is a kindle unlimited recommendation, and this whole town seems to have issues with adequate birth control. So despite the fact that all these girls are getting knocked up before their wedding day, this series has some super amazing grand gestures! These two are long time best friends who spend most of the book not being honest with each other, but there is an epic finale in this one!
