My relationship with Royal Fitzpatrick has always been complicated and messy. At times, it’s even been incredibly painful. When I finally decide to stand up to him our senior year, unable to take another second of his bullying, Royal does the last thing I expected – he promises to change his evil ways. But I’ve been hurt by him for too long. He’s a lost cause. We are a lost cause. At least that’s … lost cause.
At least that’s what I tell myself for months until I see him actually become the good, kind man I knew he could be.
Unfortunately, Royal still has secrets, ones he’s intentionally kept from me and his best friends.
So while I was stupidly planning our future together, Royal was just trying to make amends before he says a final goodbye.

The third bad boy at Mercy Academy finally gets his story. Before their Junior year, Royal and Hannah were at camp together and acted on their long hidden desires for each other. But a classmate and fellow camper, Garret, has always liked Hannah but she considers him as only a friend, so to break up Royal and Hannah, Garrett tells lies to each of them about the other. For a year and a half Royal treats Hannah like crap, calling her names in front of their classmates, and being rude. Royal seems to have the life of a well brought up rich kid, but his dad is severely abusive, and Royal can’t wait to graduate and be out of the house so he enlists in the army. And even if a mutual friend can get to the bottom of what happened two years ago, and Royal and Hannah get back together, will it really make a difference? How can a newly begun relationship work when they will be apart for four years. Royal in the army and Hannah away at college. Hannah and Royal go to Mercy Academy together and happen to be attending summer camp, working as camp employees. Things change between them that summer and Hannah is looking forward to what’s to come. The last night at camp, everything changes and Hannah is heartbroken. The rest of their time together in school isn’t what Hannah had hoped for. She’s left feeling alone and isolated more than ever and it is all Royals fault. How could things have turned so bad? Can they find their way back to each other or is it too late? Very enjoyable and entertaining read!

This is the final book in the Mercy Academy series, and we learn all about Royal & Hannah. You’ve always seen them be angry-ish with and around each other, but here you get their whole story. When they first officially met and spent the summer together at camp, how they spent all their time together, firsts were had, and true deep feelings were felt. Then other people’s lies ruined things, hurt and anger happened and things changed from there. But deep down, they always had those first feelings, those original feels that never left and always hoped would some day come back together again. I loved their story . I hated to read what Royal had to go through, broke my heart every time, but definitely explained a lot about how he acted. But I loved who he was inside, who Hannah was, and who they brought out in each other. I loved this series . If you haven’t read it yet, now is definitely the time to binge!
HAVE MERCY is the third and final? Instalment in L.A. Hart’s contemporary, young adult to new adult MERCY ACADEMY romance series. This is Royal Fitzpatrick, ,and Hannah Morgan’s story line. HAVE MERCY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
NOTE: Some of the events of HAVE MERCY run parallel to, and over lap with the events of Beg for Mercy #1, and Crave Your Mercy #2.
WARNING: Due to the some of the story line content, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Hannah and Royal) following two timelines ( and six years) HAVE MERCY focuses on the acrimonious relationship between high school frenemies Royal Fitzpatrick, ,and Hannah Morgan. At sixteen years of age, Royal Fitzpatrick was struggling with a direction in life, and found himself ‘volunteering’ at the local church camp where he would face several classmates including Hannah Morgan but Royal’s life was no bed of roses, and his surly attitude and growing anger made life miserable for our story line heroine. A summer romance ended when the requisite mean girls and jealous friends ensured Hannah and Royal never spoke to one another, again. Fast forward two years, to graduation wherein Royal’s life continues to spiral out of control but his love/hate for Hannah continues to burn. What ensues is the ongoing caustic and acerbic relationship between Hannah and Royal as they prepare for their post-secondary futures.
HAVE MERCY has all of the hallmarks of a young adult story line including mean girls, jealousy, a love triangle, abusive / oblivious adults, and the requisite heart break for our leading couple. Royal Fitzpatrick is the ultimate bad boy but a bad boy whose home life is battered and bruised. Hannah Morgan struggles with her attraction to a young man whose reputation is further destroyed by the actions of others resulting in Royal’s decision to walk away from it all. The premise is heart breaking and emotional; the romance is full of teenaged angst and misgivings; the characters are broken, energetic and lost.
Such an amazing end to an amazing series. I really don’t know which book I love the best I love them all because they were all written so well. I love Royal because he is such a cocky, jerk yet at the same time he was awesome. These books are really going to draw you in because they are beautifully written, angst filled, heartbreak, and a roller coaster of a ride.
I admit that bully romances are somewhat hit and miss for me. Surprisingly though, I have enjoyed each book in this series and this one is now officially my favorite. Royal and Hannah’s story just really clicked with me. I felt that this couple very much had that opposites attract, yin and yang thing going on and that really worked for them. My heart bled for Royal and it ached for the many obstacles that these two had to overcome. The chemistry and raw emotions that flow between these two is powerful and intense. The story itself is gripping and keeps you engaged with lots of tension, drama, angst and turmoil. Just a really excellent read. I am posting an independent, impartial review.
Well one thing I can say about this book is that it is absolutely amazing , Royal and Hannah are fabulous characters , this book will drag you in from the first page and won’t let you put it down until you have finished it(yes I read it in a few hours and this lockdown is getting to me I think because near the end I actually had tears in my eyes) yes it’s an emotional read but OMG I so enjoyed reading it , sorry no spoilers from me just read it , WELL DONE LANE ON ANOTHER FABULOUS BOOK.

First love. You never forget yours and that certainly goes for Royal and Hannah. After a hot summer of firsts, a misunderstanding separates them. Getting a second chance is rare but they get one and finally clear the air to fight for a future.

Beautiful story.
Hannah and Royal go to Mercy Academy together and the summer before their Junior year they end up getting pretty close to each other, but it gets ruined and Royal becomes a total jerk. Hannah is now a social outcast, except for her friend Maddie no one else will risk the wrath of Royal. So she doesn’t have friends and she doesn’t date. Now their Senior year is here and things aren’t any better, but will the intervention of a friend make these two see they were made for each other? This is a great read and I highly recommend it!

Have Mercy is an emotional,
beautiful, tragic story. Royal and all that he lives with at home and Hannah the good girl find each other at church camp where Royal is sent by his dad after getting in trouble.
These two have to overcome so much, most of which is caused by outside influences and misunderstandings. After camp they get back to school at Mercy and things don’t get any better. After two years they FINALLY have that long overdue talk and get things straightened out only for yet another obstacle to come in to play. This book has been such a great read from start to finish and an emotional rollercoaster to say the least. I wanted to hurt Royals family so bad and wrap him all up. I don’t like bullies at all but this book did cause me to pause and think about what their home life must be like or must have been like to cause them to be the way they are. This is a very well written, thought provoking read.
Book three in the Mercy Academy series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. Full length told in dual POV with a HEA. This is a high school romance with drama. Each book is about a different bully from Mercy Academy and the secondary characters are the same throughout the series. Royal is someone you feel sorry for, he is in a bad situation. I was really wanting him to get his HEA, I just wish it didn’t take so long to get there. I wanted more happy times with Royal and Hannah as a couple! Awesome epilogue!!
What an amazing book. Personally, I think this is the best out of three books in the series.
Royal and Hannah has liked/loved each other since junior year, but due to some unfortunate events, their perfect school sweethearts future gets messed up.
This book is funny, sad, angry and wonderful. I would definitely recommend it.

Wow, this book was full of emotion. From the first chapter I was hooked on Royal and Hannah. It was easy to believe he was a jerk but theres more to Royal than his cocky attitude. It was an easy read that I finished in one day. Sad the series has finished.

I lost sleep could not put down. Great end to the series.
Royal is a troubled teen with a horrible father. He is being dropped off at a camp for kids that is for helping the community. He doesn’t want to be there so he is pretty much rude to everyone there.
Hannah is there a camp feeling alone because no one talks to her for some stupid teen age jealousy.
Royal thinks of he is mean to Hannah she’ll let him see her naked. Little does Royal know that’s not happening. Stupid hormones of a teenage boy. Instead they became friends which was much better because their feelings grew stronger for one another. Royal would go into her room every night. It finally happened, Royal got to see Hannah for the first time in all her glory. They had struggles along the way but once out of school things changed. Royal got away from his father & was able to with they only girl who he felt really ever loved him.
4*
Royal has always been the angry one out of his friends Blake & Aric. However a punishment from his father has him been sent away for the summer.
Royal & Hannah have history from summer camp but a misunderstanding left them both broken. Someone is determined to keep them apart.
Lovely story
Thus is a rather fitting conclusion to the Mercy High academy series. It takes the reader through Hannah and Royal’s relationship. The author was able to give the whole story while not making it monotonous by having to constantly restate what happened in the other books of the series.

*SPOILER* This is the story of Royal and Hannah. Royal is sentenced to work the summer at a religious camp because he crashed his car into the church. He only has eyes for Hannah.
There’s a miscommunication and they don’t speak for 2 years. But there is a HEA.

I just loved Royal and Hannah’s story. It was an addictive, incredible and amazing read. Extremely well written and entertaining and one I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend.
Have Mercy by L.A. Hart a five-star read that shines like Royalty. This is number three in the Mercy Academy series and they each focus on a different main character, I have loved meeting them all and can only hope that we get to see more of the characters from the school, maybe in a spin off or something? Or just another part of the story. Anyhow Royal and Hannah will just astound you, they have a journey that will make you smile, it will make you want to punch someone and then make you cry, not necessarily in that order. Royal has all the makings to either break and fall to pieces or break and be made into something stronger. But you will need to check this out to find out which, thankfully Hannah is there to help sort those pieces but sometimes you have to realise that broken pieces can’t be mended. But Hannah has a journey of her own to make and she needs to learn that she has to learn to help herself before she can help anyone else. Never before have I wanted to go to church camp, but this one made me desperate to spend a summer helping. This is an amazing story, and one you need to read.
