My relationship with Royal Fitzpatrick has always been complicated and messy. At times, it’s even been incredibly painful. When I finally decide to stand up to him our senior year, unable to take another second of his bullying, Royal does the last thing I expected – he promises to change his evil ways. But I’ve been hurt by him for too long. He’s a lost cause. We are a lost cause. At least that’s … lost cause.
At least that’s what I tell myself for months until I see him actually become the good, kind man I knew he could be.
Unfortunately, Royal still has secrets, ones he’s intentionally kept from me and his best friends.
So while I was stupidly planning our future together, Royal was just trying to make amends before he says a final goodbye.

Okay I have to say I have a bit of a love hate relationship with this book. I totally and utterly loved Royal and Hannah’s story. It definitely was unexpected how it all played out and I kind of thought it might not turn into a happily ever after. I know it’s rare to read a book and not get the happy ending you were expecting but yeah Lane keeps you guessing till the very end. I think the only thing I would have changed is the end. I kind of felt like I didn’t get enough I wanted more. But that’s me too I love seeing extended epilogues.
I do highly recommend this book and the whole series it’s definitely a series I won’t soon forget.

This is my favorite book in this series. I absolutely loved Royal and Hannah’s story and I wasn’t ready for it to end but it definitely left me with a smile on my face. I enjoyed their story from beginning to end. I would definitely give other books from this author a try. Over all, I enjoyed all of the books in this series. There were some things I disliked in some of the books in this series, but I think they are worth reading if you enjoy high school romances.
This is the third book in the Mercy Academy series. I loved the first two books and was so excited to read this one. I would recommend reading these in order as the characters from the other books are present in this one.
Have Mercy is Royal and Hannah’s story. I got sucked into the story with the prologue and couldn’t put it down! I felt for Royal from the moment the book started. This book started the summer before Junior year. Royal wrecked his car into a church and the church pastor wanted him to do a camp thing to give back to the community. He didn’t want to go, but when he was there he ran into a girl from his school named Hannah. During the 4 week church retreat Hannah got Royal to put in work and would hang out with him after. They started having feelings for each other.
The last day of camp things were said to each other, but not by each other and they stopped talking. One year later and they are both seniors in high school. Royal made Hannah the pariah of the school and wouldn’t allow other people to talk to her except her one friend who is going out with another guy from one of the other books.
Feelings for each other are still there, but they both hate each other from the betrayal they feel from the other. They reconnect towards the end. Can they forgive each other, or will their feelings tear them apart again. Throughout this book both characters have a chance to grow. I loved this book and am sad the series is over.
Hannah and Royal meet at summer camp and develop a relationship. Skip forward several years and they are in high school. Only Royal isn’t the same person he was in camp. He makes Hannah’s life miserable. I liked how even though Hannah was shy, she still had a backbone. Royal I could have shaken and told him to wake up and smell the roses He was destructive but once you find out his homelife you understand and hope that Hannah would too. I really liked this story but it seemed too rushed and was going into more detail on other couples. But I loved Hannah and Royal (when he finally came around).

The book is very much the teenage drama or rather melodrama
It realistically shows how teens develop and how their lack of critical thinking makes for melodrama

I recieved this book for Free to Give My True & Honest Review
Here we have Royal & Hannah’s side of their relationship & what it was that had made Royal be so nasty & get their peers at school turn against her which was something I always wondered throughout the series.
I had thought the 2 of them had a fairly long relationship during their school life, but we see *that’s not the case*
We have such deep emotional episodes here especially from Royal’s upbringing as well as the aftermath of their month together during a time for him punishment for Hannah gest feeling & giving off how close they become during this time & the dreams both of them had for when it was going back to school for their final 2yrs of their school life.
But that goes straight down the toilet on their final day…
Another absolutely fantastic episode of Mercy High, where I still do feel like these friends are older than they actually are
An amazing series! It is well written, well developed, engaging, passionate, and emotionally deep. The characters are broken yet strong and likeable. This book will tug on your heartstrings, take you on an emotional ride of ups and downs, and leave you smiling. Recommended!

Teenage love that endures!
by sewsummore
A love story that began in high school and endured through lies and deception over time to culminate in marriage. Hannah had always been “the good girl,” always caring for others and doing what was right and proper. Then she met Royal, the angry young man with a chip on his shoulder. They should have nothing in common, but, in the end, this did not matter because they loved each other. One month at a church camp was all it took for them to fall in love and, then the lies of a jealous friend separated them until the truth is revealed. Full of emotional angst, heartbreak and, the pain of enduring love and, at times, painful to read, bringing back memories of my teenage years

This is book three in the Mercy Academy series. This is Royal and Hannah’s story. Royal has been Hannah’s tormentor for so long that she has a ard time believing he can be anything else. He wants a chance to make up for the past. Can a cat change its stripes? Royal is determined to try. In true Lane fashion the story takes some twists that leave you really guessing and uncertain as to what is really going to happen with these two characters. Enjoy!

So with this being the 3rd book I kind of had an idea of who I thought Royal was, but man did I ever have it wrong! I loved Royal once I realised what had happened to him, and Hannah! This story takes us back a few years and explains so much! I loved Royal and Hannah so much. They each believe the other has destroyed what could have been, and should have been. These two took me on quite an emotional run with them, I loved, I laughed, I hurt and I even cried a bit. In the end Royal became so much more than what I thought he was and that was perfect!
Teenage angst was certainly the theme of this story yet it was also a beautiful love story. Misunderstandings along with lies created drama and strife between two very different yet compelling characters. While their upbringing was totally different, it doesn’t mean that life doesn’t have a plan for each of them. I loved the inclusion of previous characters of the series who play heavily in this story. The author maintained the storylines from the previous books exactly as they were written as she included them into this story. At the same time, the author crafted a new storyline for this book using supporting characters as the leads and bringing them to the forefront. The author wove the story together seamlessly as she did this with the storylines running during the same timeframe. Brilliantly done. To see each story from different points of view was enlightening. Recommend.
This is the 3rd book in this awesome series and is Royal and Hannah’s story. These two are drawn to each other but one bitter falling out and they go onto separate paths. This is a beautifully written story which is filled with secrets, hate, betrayal, and love which all lead to an emotional roller coaster journey throughout. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author.
What a great love story. Royal has a hard life but with Hannah life seems a bit better. They go through their trials and tribulations as high school kids but will it all work out?

I was not overjoyed at this book but I did find it intriguing. Royal and Hanna. I was thrilled with the story line and the premise. I HIGHLY recommend that you read this series in order as it also has the previous couples from the other books. Great development and world building.

Let’s go… Let’s go get ready for another book…
Another book from an amazing author that I really adore.
L.A. Hart aka Lane Hart has created this series that will make you not only blush but to see life with other eyes.
Have Mercy is the third book from the Mercy Academy and you must read the first to book.
Each book portrait the lives of one of the three friends and so much happens…
Just grab your copy and dig in.
This new book explores the lives of Royal and Hannah.
Royal is the typical bad boy. He doesn’t take shi*** from anyone and doesn’t have mercy.
One night stands are his motto but…
Hannah is fed up with being treated badly by Royal and decides to stand up for herself and forget about him but sometimes what our head wants our heart doesn’t.
My heart is so full I’m afraid it might burst… Oh boy.
This book was perfect in every imperfect way.
Each chapter had so much going on that I was mesmerized by it.
Superb plot, very well written, super intense and special.
It was the perfect rollercoaster.
It was the perfect way to see a damaged guy with no hopes or dreams. He only had pain and a facade that hides him from others.
She was perfect too, and despite the pain, she never lost herself.
These two shared great chemistry and it was perfect to see them together.
Of course that bot everything was a bed of roses because we were hit by a few thorns…
Overall it was perfect and I didn’t want it to end.
Perfect L.A. Hart. Simply perfect. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
This was an ok read. Royal and Hannah both drove me crazy with how immature and insecure they were. I get they are young but they both needed a good head smack.
Sweet history 4 ½ stars – It is preferable to read the first book in the series to get a robust understanding of Hannah and Royal’s current hate situation. What ‘Have Mercy’ did is shed light on their history and it was a sweet and steamy history marred by insecurity. I was really rooting for them. I do wish though that legal justice was meted out to the abusive adults in this series. [I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.]
This 3rd book in this series as brought everything full circle. This is Royal and Hannah story and it leaves you wanting more when you get done reading it. Things were said by Royal and Hannah that they didn’t mean and a few misunderstandings along the way. This book as plenty of twists and turns that will keep you guessing with what will happen with Royal and Hannah. Can Royal and Hannah put there past behind them and have a future together.

This was the third book of Mercy Academy. This book focuses on Royal and Hannah’s relationship. This story spans two years, and then jumps in the epilogue. The book starts as they are going into their junior year, and jumps time to the summer after graduation.
This book also takes into account the stories from the previous two book that focus on Maddie and Aiden, and Blake and Caroline. I felt this story was a bit rushed due to the amount of time that was covered. We glimpses of their lives like snap shots, but we don’t get a lot of meat and details. The previous two books really focused on developing the relationships between the main characters more then this book did.
