Haunted on Bourbon Street is book one in the Jade Calhoun series by Deanna Chase.
I’m baffled on this one. I feel like I’m missing a book or a prequel to this novel. Their are connections with characters that I just don’t understand which makes me wonder if their was something before this novel.
As for the mystery it is second to the …
I’ve come to love this series. Deanna Chase has created a fun, magical world that I enjoy visiting.
A good read!
This was the first book I read from this author, I was hooked, immediately! This book was original and endearing and I finished it and went to the next over and over till I got to the end of the series and had to start waiting for the books to be written! I was so disappointed then! I love this series and pretty much everything she writes, try …
Loved it; great read!
Haunted on Bourbon Street is the first book in the Jade Calhoun series and this was just a great way to start off a new series. I just had so much fun reading this story. It was just so easy to get lost in and I just didn’t want it to end. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
“I titled my head, giving him the answer he waited for.” Really?
I always enjoy a good ghost story but this one is scarier than usual.
I think this is the best of the Jade Calhoun books, although I enjoyed them all. Jade is a strong-willed and a bit snarky in this book and I can related to that. I also enjoy that, much like a real person, she also behaves a bit petulantly toward Kane and avoids difficult conversations/situations with him for several days before she faces them. It …
paranormal, ghosts, NOLA, friendship, romantic, witches
How could I go wrong? NOLA and the supernatural!
This is the kind of book that I usually want to start a series but too often doesn’t show up until after the fourth or fifth and is called a prequel. I haven’t read any of the others yet, but this one really sets the stage for some really …
Great read!
Okay, first off, this book is not a cozy paranormal mystery about ghost chasers in New Orleans. It is more of a romance novel with lots of lusting and a few torrid sex scenes all taking place in and around a strip club in New Orleans. The paranormal part gets more bizarre as the story goes on. There are weird elements of psychological kidnapping …
Good characters and an entertaining story-line
A thoroughly entertaining and fun read. Everyone is a little quirky with their own brand of special magic. I liked the firm friendships shared amongst the characters.
An easy summers read,
This was a very hard book to follow the characters.
A lot of fun. Have read all of the series
Pretty standard paranormal romance. I was disgusted by the way the heroine was continually distracted from *really important stuff* by her intense sexual attraction the male romantic attraction (to the point where she would *forget all about* said *really important stuff*). I didn’t finish it.
Paranormal Romance
The romance sizzles and the paranormal is haunting. The main character moves to New Orleans for a fresh start. When she moves into her apartment it is haunted. While trying to rid herself of the ghost she develops new friends and a romance too.
This was entertaining, I read it all the way through, but I kept wondering when it would end, seemed like it took a while to wrap up.
The story was good, original and fun, however I found the sex scenes excessive,
