Two years ago she ruined my family’s life. Maybe she thought it was only a little lie. That she did the right thing, that the worst was behind her, that no one had gotten hurt. Oh how naive the black haired beauty was. Fate has finally brought her back to me, to Blackthorn Academy.Once upon a time I was obsessed, consumed with the need to make her mine. Now I just want revenge, and I’ll do …
Now I just want revenge, and I’ll do whatever I can to get it.
You see the beautiful, sweet, Willow doesn’t realize the mistake she’s made yet. She doesn’t realize that she’s entered the lion’s den and there won’t be any escaping her fate.
I’m Parker Rothschild, and I’ll become her nightmare, her enemy, her bully.
By the time I’m finished with her she’ll be begging me for forgiveness and pleading to confess her sins.

Dark, and twisted!
This was a dark, and twisted read, very entertaining (if you like bully romance books), this took you on a bit of a roller coaster, of ups, and downs, emotional highs, and lows. This book is intense, the characters have hot, steamy chemistry, this is a must read!

The premise of this book grabbed me from the start. I love this type of bully book, it was right up my alley. Willow was stronger than Parker thought she would be and I LOVE when a heroine is underestimated. Parker was fighting his feelings for Willow through the whole book. This is a girl he has loved since he was young. He was so angry at her for her actions, but that love couldn’t be tamped down. I am so happy that we got both POV’s for this story. I love a hero that is at war with himself but also is fiercely protective of the heroine. They both come from some seriously messed up families that have toyed with their brains and how they should be feeling and acting. I would like to say that I suspected the twist, but I didn’t fully realize it would play out that way. I really liked that aspect, that it was a surprise for me. There were a few issues I had and a few typos, but nothing major. I really liked this book.
Geez! These ladies DELIVERED on this series.
From page one it moves and it moves fast. As they have warned, this is not for the faint of heart. NA Bully romance.
I absolutely love these characters and this world! Another fantastic read, I am DYING for where this goes next!
–“Parker wasn’t what nightmares were made of… he was the nightmare.”–
Hating You is book 1 in the Blackthorn Elite Series and is a Dark Bully Romance that is packed full angst, drama, revenge, suspense, secrets and lies. It was super addictive, intriguing and super entertaining
The tension, fire, lust and attraction as well as hatred and disdain between Parker and Willow was intense and capitvating. I really loved both characters with Parker being the Alpha male anti-hero you will both love and hate and Willow being sweet, tough, resilient and conflicted at times. The push and pull between these two was amazing while they were stuck in a game of cat and mouse neither of them were prepared for. I really enjoyed this story and found i could not put it down and reccomend it to anyone who enjoys a good Bully Romance though there are some sensitive issues faced in the book so i sugguest taking caution if you are someone who needs trigger warnings
This was such a wonderful love story. I enjoyed it very much. The storyline was spot on and was well executed. I recommend it.

Hating You it’s a romantic suspense full of twist, secrets, family obligations, lies and lots and lots of revenge and hate. Parker it’ fuel by revenge towards Willow, he makes her life on school a living hell, being her constant bully and monster, even though internally he is fitting a battle between wanting her and hating her. Willow is a sweet, loyal, innocent girl that carries a burden on her shoulders. She sacrifices her happiness and freedom to keep her sister safe. Willow and Parkers’s relationship was dark and very intense. A battle from enemies to Lovers. The whole story it’s amazing and keep me on the hedge of my sit, getting furious at Parker and rooting for Willojw.
Parker Rothschild wants to get his revenge on Willow and her family for ruining his family and brother!! Parker is untouchable at the university and no one will help Willow when she complains and tries to stay away from Parker. But does Parker know the full story? What happens to Nate? Can Nate take the heat? The games Parker plays with Willow are oh so very dark and delicious!! But when nee information surfaces, how will Parker react?

Can she succeed and help her sister and keep her sanity while dealing with Parker and his dark games and issues? Will Willow ever learn the full truth and come out alive on the other side? Where will the truth leave Parker and Willow?
This story has so many twists and turns, it will keep you on the edge of your seat!! This is truly amazing but has some triggers in this deliciously dark bully romance!! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book from the author! I can’t wait for more and more.
A dark and twisted bullying story. Parker hates Willow. Willow feels every bit of his wrath. Loved it. Couldn’t put it down!!! Can’t wait for more.
First one in the Blackthorn Elite series and holy cow hold on because you are in for quite the ride with this series if this one is any indication. This book was amazing from beginning to end. I absolutely love Bully romance books. This one hit it out of the water for me.
Willow is going to a new school to try and start over her life. Her father made it clear that she needed to make their name well known again. She is only doing this to help her sister. But she runs into the one person that can destroy her with just a look. Parker is known to her because of something that happened in her past. He is hell bent on getting his revenge for what she did to his family. He wants her miserable and he will do whatever it takes to make that happen. But little does he know that fate has something more in store for him.
The chemistry between these two is off the charts hot. Whether it be because it is a hate love relationship or a love love relationship it is hot. You can easily see once the revenge is put to the side that these two belong together. I will say that there is a very upsetting moment in this one. Shocking and upsetting I did not see it coming at all. I wanted to throw my kindle. But this storyline hooked me and had me reading until the very end. I had to know what was going to happen between Parker and Willow. J.L Beck and C. Hallman blew me away once again with an amazing storyline and two amazing characters. I cant wait to read the rest in this series. Highly recommend one clicking this one.
Oh wow, this book!!! It is such a rollercoaster ride full of twist and turns. It’s dark and intense.
Willow and Parker are sworn enemies and Parker is set on revenge. They are both coming from a good place….their love and belief of their loved ones. I was on the edge of my seat reading Hating You. After all these two went through, they deserve their HEA.
If you love to read dark bully romance, Hating You by J.L. Beck and C. Hallman is a must read for you. This was a steamy and intense combination of everything. The thrill of the suspense . The dirty, filthy and depraved passion. The intensity was insane in this story.
Willow and Parker hate each other. Willow’s statement put his brother in prison for assaulting her sister. And Parker knows his brother was innocent. So he is determined to take his revenge by tormenting her in most cruel way. And Willow cannot leave the institution as her sister’s life depends on her father. But as their bitter and hateful journey starts, shocking truths reveal themselves.
Parker is the perfect bully. The perfect cold, dominating, rude, arrogant and vicious man. But a golden heart is under his dark appearance. Willow is a beautifully written character. It is often difficult to make the girl strong and sassy and at the same time vulnerable to her bully. But the authors nailed it. The built up and twists were on point. The sexual tension is so intense and arousing. The evolution of their relationship from enemies to soulmates was freaking phenomenal. I was turned on and horrified by Parker’s mind games. I had panic attacks with the heartbreaking trauma. I loved every moment of the jaw dropping storyline.
Raw. Passionate. Angsty. Heartaching. Hating You By J.L. Beck and C. Hallman walked the line between love and hate effortlessly.
Received ARC for Honest review
“The bullied shouldn’t want the bully.”
Hating You is the first book in the new dark bully romance series from this writing duo. I have loved their other works, North Woods University and Bayshore Rivals so, you can imagine my excitement when I found out they have a brand new series, and it’s a DARK bully romance. How about that? So I went ahead and lose myself in this book world.
“My obsession with her has ruled my mind for so long. It’s hard for me to shove the territorial thoughts away, to separate me wanting to have her and wanting to destroy her.”
Parker and Willow knows each other when they were kids. As they get older, they see each other in passing on social gatherings, etc. But when one incident involving both their families that resulted to Parker’s brother going to prison, Parker became obsessed on revenge against Willow’s family. She became his easy target when she unwittingly went to the school he also attends. From then on, the revenge, drama, lies and betrayals ensued.
“See, I was always fucked up, the black sheep of the family. For as long as I can remember, there’s always been a darkness around me.”
I don’t know how to describe Parker aside from his loyalty to his family runs deep that he would do ANYTHING to exact revenge, even physically hurt those who wronged them. He is intense, one track minded guy and obsessive to the point of madness. Yes, he is basically an A-hole towards Willow. No other way to say it. Willow, poor her, is caught between the devil and the deep blue sea, so to speak. She had to endure going to school and Parker or her sister will suffer the consequences. You can pretty much guess what she chose. She is, in some way, like Parker when it comes to family. Both of them willing to give their all for the sake of those they love.
“Make me bleed, and I’ll make you bleed in return. Blood for blood, Parker.”
“We’re chaos riding a slippery slope into hell, and if we’re not careful, we’ll both get burnt to a crisp.”
I’d say their chemistry is crazy, toxic; a disaster waiting to happen that will destroy both of them. I guess it’s true what they say that there is a fine line between love and hate. I loved that the others wrote that there were triggering scenes in this book so the readers could be aware. Considering I’ve read dark romance books before, I’d consider this in the middle category. Other than that, if this is your jam, you should definitely this book a go.
Well, that was a surprise!!!
Hating You is the first book in the ‘Blackthorn Academy’ series, it’s also my first from these two authors, singly, or, as the duo they are here.
I didn’t know what to expect but I was more than happy with the storyline. It’s not as cold-hearted as I thought it would be. In fact, Parker turned out to be much more than the bully he’s portrayed as in the blurb. He’s got some hangups to deal with regarding Willow and his family. He’s angry and volatile. He’s also, sweet and passionate, something he tries to fight against but Willow’s pull is too strong.
Willow didn’t want to be at Blackthorn but is forced to go by her uncompromising father. He has plans, and Willow is at the heart of them. When she meets Parker again, she has no idea what’s in store for her.
This was an intense, suspenseful story with a twist you won’t see coming. Grab your copy today.
J.L. Beck &C. Hallman never cease to amaze me. Each book they produce is a great read, with a ton of emotion, steamy moments, and growth woven within it’s pages.
Hating you was not an exception to that rule.
This book was a heart pounding, addicting, and all around great dark romance.
Dark romance is my favorite genre/trope to read, and this book has quickly become one of my most favorite dark reads!
Willow and Parker have a past. &Things ended up going sour, leaving their families completely disconnected, and pushing some pretty major secrets under the rug.
Willow is back in Blackthorn to help her heartless monster of a father, to earn his tarnished reputation. Even though Willow despise’s her father, she sucks it up and does what she has to do.
Finding out that Parker is a lot closer then she originally realized, things become much more complicated.
Parker blames Willow and her family for any of his families shortcomings, and is bound to deliver a just revenge. Even if the beautiful girl he knew years ago has become some sort of addiction since her arrival back, he knows that he needs to follow through with the plan, and hand down a punishment strong enough to destroy Willow, and the family he is so certain destroyed his parent’s lives.
I finished reading Hating you rather quickly, because I couldn’t put it down. The twists and turns were intriguing, and took on their own unique spin. I definitely recommend reading this book if you are a fan of enemies to lovers/dark/bully romance. I am super excited for the next book to come out, and give us some more of this world’s characters! So, go pick up your own copy of Hating You, enjoy the read, and make sure that you are ready to go in time for the Blackthorn Elite’s next upcoming release!
This book drew you in. I hated what Parker was doing to Willow but I could not put the book down. I had to read this and find out if Willow and Parker got a HEA because both needed it. Parker is dark but Willow has darkness in her too. The both come from some pretty f#$%ed up families. If you like ultimate bully romance this will not disappoint.
What am exceptionally written Dark romance that have many twists and turns that have your head spinning to the end. Just when you think you have a handle on all the characters they throw you for a loop and then some. These characters have depth and you feel their ragged emotions and want to help them find a HEA together. This book with push and pull you until you complete it, there is no putting it down.
I am voluntarily leaving this review of an ARC copy
I don’t think there will ever be a book by Beck and Hallman published that is anything less than a stellar 5 stars! Hating You has become one of my all-time favorite books of theirs. Parker is the hero everyone loves to hate. He is dark and twisted and wants nothing more than for Willow to pay for what she did to him. This is one of my favorite tropes and boy do they deliver! Beck and Hallman keep you on the edge of your seat and pull every raw emotion right out of you with their words. There was not a single predictable part of this book. The chemistry between Parker and Willow is amazing, whether it be hate, lust, or raw passion. I can not wait to read the next book by these amazing authors!
I’ve seen this one all over social media and who doesn’t love a good bully romance so I had to dive in.
Willow is being manipulated by her father to attend the prestigious Blackthorn Academy to befriend those of wealth and power. She has to do this in order to ensure her sisters safety.
On her first day she meets Parker who is quick to tell her she isn’t wanted and it would be best if she leaves. This isn’t an option for Willow so she has to endure Parker and his threatening ways.
While reading, I was scared of Parker and what he would do Willow. He was so forceful, yet underneath, the sexual tension between this pair sizzled. He’s was possessive and all alpha over her and although they both questioned their feelings, they knew there was something between them.
I do love a bully romance and this was an enjoyable, quick and easy read that I read in one sitting. There were some cringe moments but the story flowed and I was surprised with the little twist in the story. I’ve not read these authors before and I would definitely check out their other work.
