Two years ago she ruined my family’s life. Maybe she thought it was only a little lie. That she did the right thing, that the worst was behind her, that no one had gotten hurt. Oh how naive the black haired beauty was. Fate has finally brought her back to me, to Blackthorn Academy.Once upon a time I was obsessed, consumed with the need to make her mine. Now I just want revenge, and I’ll do …
Now I just want revenge, and I’ll do whatever I can to get it.
You see the beautiful, sweet, Willow doesn’t realize the mistake she’s made yet. She doesn’t realize that she’s entered the lion’s den and there won’t be any escaping her fate.
I’m Parker Rothschild, and I’ll become her nightmare, her enemy, her bully.
By the time I’m finished with her she’ll be begging me for forgiveness and pleading to confess her sins.
*This is a standalone DARK bully romance. This book contains scenes that may be triggering to some readers. This is not a YA romance novel and should be read by those only 18+ or older. *

Poor Willow. This girl just cannot catch a break and she seriously has the worst dad ever! Parker is not likeable at all, until the end of the book. I get it. I totally understand why he does the things he does, but I still wanted to throat punch him through almost the whole book. But that ending??? Did not see that coming at all! This was a great story and my feelings were all over the place with this one.
5 STARS for Hating You by J. L. Beck and C. Hallman
Advanced reader copy received from authors in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed are my own and have not been influenced in any way.
If you are a fan of these authors then here is another 5 Star read ! I have just recently become a fan of bully romance and the characters in Hating You sure do deliver.
So much to love , the cover , characters Willow and Parker along with a great plot and story line with some twists. Parker is such a bully he is dark and there is so much angst in what he feels for Willow. Willow is just trying to survive her first semester at Blackthorn.
This story is jam packed with steamy chemistry and like me I don’t think you will be able to put your e-reader down. I read in just one sitting !
Highly recommend Hating You ! Also , book two with Warren’s story sounds equally as good !

This is a true bully love story. Parker is dark, brutal, obsessive and possessive and Willow is the exact opposite, a sweet, innocent pawn being used by her father to further his interests in an effort to save her broken sister. They knew each other once, back before lies and betrayal turned everything to hate. Now, all she wants is to humour her father just enough that he keeps her sister safe; all Parker wants is to make her pay in every painful way he can, he will break her and relish in her destruction. But somewhere along the way things change and feelings start to invade. Just when he thought everything was going right the real truth comes out and he’ll do anything to save her. Brilliant in a dark and twisted way. I want more!

Willow is a sweet kind person who was doing what she thought was right. Parker is a dark and devious man looking to get revenge for his family. He sees that chance when he sees Willow. He will take it to extreme to get his comeuppance. this is a dark bully romance and these authors really do bring it. You will not be disappointed with the story and the characters.

Willow is basically used as a means to an end, she is innocent and kind. Parker on the other hand is dark and devious. He wants revenge for his brother and he wants to use Willow to feed his darkness in twisted ways. IT is dark but if you love C Hallman and J Beck then you already know what you are getting into and it does not disappoint so very good.

This is a fantastic full on energy and I feel spent just reading it. This is not a YA book not by a mile. Parker feels like he was wronged and wants revenge. Willow is a sweet caring girl. They are both antagonists and try to push each other. The emotion that I felt and their interaction was wonderful. It is what a bully story should be. It had everything that puts me on the edge of my seat just waiting for the next moment. Great story with wonderful characters. I had to get the next book in the series. Absolutely Fabulous.

I won’t ever forget this story!! Soul wrecking but beautiful at the same time. Prepare to share a lot of tears!
OMG!! I love this series but Willow and Parker are my favorite. Talk about a rollercoaster of a ride. This book was amazing with twists you don’t see coming. If you love dark romances, read this series. It’s so good and leaves you wanting more.

J.L. Beck and C. Hallman write another book that had me hooked from the first page. This was a bully book with dark elements.
Parker wants revenge on Willow for the mistakes that she has made. He believes that she lied, and he wants her to pay.
Parker was a possessive a$$hole that rules everyone at the school. He is an alpha who is in charge, and gets whatever he wants. He does not let anyone, but him touch Willow.
Willow shows up at Blackthorn Academy after leaving two years ago. She is trying to keep her sister safe by helping her father make business contacts.
Willow was a pushover, and let all the men in her life push her around. She let her father control her actions so she could protect her sister. She did everything that Parker wanted her too.
This book definitely had some hot scenes.
Overall I really liked the story between Parker and Willow. They had this obsession with each other from the very beginning that just got stronger.
I recommend this book to anyone who wants a dark bully Romance with possessive alpha hero.
I love this book! It is dark, steamy, and sexy story with plenty of intrigue, suspense and surprises. The characters are awesome. The narrators did a fantastic job with the audiobook. I would definitely recommend this book and audiobook.
Willow was helping her sister. It changed everything in her life though. Parker wanted revenge plain and simple. He was going to make her life horrible. He’s doing a good job of it, no one will help her, she’s on her own just like he wants her. The only problem is that the attraction between them is crazy. She’s the light and he’s the dark. Can they make a relationship work or is it just going to be hate with no love?
The ending! Holy crap! Wait till you read it!! I so didn’t see that coming!!
I am absolutely obsessing over this book. Willow and Parker kept me on my toes with the steam and intensity between the two of them. Their story was dark and the level of angst was perfectly balanced. 5 wickedly sinful stars.
I was not a fan of this one. I am on this bully strike and this was extremely light compared to some of the other ones I have read, not only that but it was also very rushed.
For example the hero wasn’t really mean because you could feel his love for the girl. When things unfolded with his brother it was completelu rushed. Finished in a paragraph.. like wtf?
This is a 2.5 for me
Whoo! Some blazing chemistry between Parker and Willow. Sexy and kinda kinky scenes, with a love-hate, obsessive push-pull. All the things that get my motor revving.
Hating You
A Blackthorn Elite Novel, Book 1
By: J.L. Beck, Cassandra Hallman
Narrated by: Blake Richard, Olivia Amayo
I love dark romances, and this definitely fit the bill. My first listen by J.L. Beck and C. Hallman, I enjoyed an unpredictable, fantastic story. Willow is a pawn for her father. After losing business associates, he is using Willow to get back in the good graces of the community by using the Parker, the son of his adversary. Now attending Blackthorn Elite, she is thrown into social suicide with Parker leading the way. These two are like water and oil. Parker is determined to seek revenge on Willow’s family and will do anything he can to achieve it. Willow is determined not to be broken. But there is a fine line between love and hate. This story has such realism in it, at times it’s scary. Beck and Hallman integrate greed, reputation, bullying, mental illness and so much more into this story, it’s impossible not to get sucked in. There were times I wanted to hate Parker, but ultimately, it was hard not to understand and sympathize with his situation as much as Willow’s. This is an incredible listen and I can’t wait to hear book 2!
The narration team of Blake Richard and Olivia Amayo is the perfect casting for this story. They both fit the characters and did justice for the story. Richard portrays Parker with a dark and devious stature, and can turn it in an instant so you feel his turmoil. Amayo adds so much to Willow, with the listener feeling compassion for her and letting us in on her emotional uproar. It’s a wonderful pairing adding so much to this performance.

“She’s mine to break. Mine to hurt.”
Revenge. That is the feeling that drives the whole book. Willow sought to avenge the horror her sister suffered by being her voice and pointing who is to blame for the fateful night. And this attitude provokes a chain reaction with consequences she doesn’t even realize. Trapped in the obligation to obey a manipulative and dangerous father to protect someone she loves, her life is suffocating her. And the new beginning, in the college far from home, will not bring the sense of peace she had hoped for.
Parker seeks revenge for his family. Because of a lie, their lives were never the same. But now, the person he had been waiting for has just fallen into his web. Willow appearing at the same college where he is a God is his chance to complete his plan.
A sick, perverse, and dangerous game begins. Parker will be an opponent to be feared. But Willow cannot succumb, however degrading it may be. But was everything really a lie? Or maybe the truth that has always been believed is the biggest lie of all?
An intense, dark book with bullying and heavy scenes. Willow and Parker’s relationship borders on the dysfunctional and toxic. Parker, in my view, is no better than his brother. In fact, the whole family should seek psychiatric help. The couple gives me a bittersweet feeling. He is obsessed with her, while she falls in love with the person who torments her.
The story is interesting and holds the reader. Even with controversial situations and characters.
