He ruined my life. Now he really wants to screw me.Justin Hayes was my best friend up until the day he broke my heart and disappeared. When I find out he’s my new boss, I’m about to leave with my middle fingers held high. Instead, I stop dead in my tracks as soon as he steps into my office.Justin’s all grown up, and he’s even more gorgeous than I remembered. He was always handsome but now he’s the … was always handsome but now he’s the kind of man I really want to… get to know.
But it doesn’t matter. I despise him.
He says he wants to work together very, very closely, but I can’t let him anywhere near me. I’m afraid I might slap him right before I kiss his soft, full lips.
He says he remembers everything we went through, and he wants to make it right.
I think he just wants to taste the one girl that got away.
I don’t know what to do. This is my dream job and “quitter” isn’t in my vocabulary, but the sight of Justin makes me want to run my nails down his bare back, nice and rough.
I hate my new boss.
But I want him so badly it hurts.
Hating My New Boss is a super steamy, over the top, hate to love office romance with adult themes and lots of laughs. It’s only for readers 18+.
Hating My New Boss is a full length standalone novel. No cliffhanger. Guaranteed HEA!

This story was interesting. You get pulled in like all BB Hamel stories. Justin and remi make you want to know more. Turn each page yearning to know why they stopped being best friends what happened between the families. And to see their relationship unfold. The book is good and has that added tension between two people who are attracted to one another but also have a lot of unresolved issues. Loved watching it unfold and change as they were forced to work together.
Audio Review from March 2019
A little over the top on the “I hate him” theme but it was a cute story overall.
The ending was cute too
I quite enjoy the narrator for this one also! (Meghan Kelly)

Hating My New Boss is a multi-genre book that can be read as a stand alone issue. This book is not what I was expecting and it just felt boring to me. The plot was unbelievable and I did not connect with the characters. 3 stars is being generous as I found myself editing the errors…
In this book you get the tale of Remi Brooks and Justin Hayes who are former best friends. The relationship ended with a feud between the parents. They meet up again years later when Justin gets the Creative Director job that was supposed to be Remi’s. Remi refuses to act professional and work with Justin because of her grudge. But they both fantasize about some BDSM with each other. A client wants them to work together on a project and brings them to Hawaii, to her futuristic compound, where the fantasies become reality. Then Boom they are in love! At least the Epilogue gives us a HEA
Remi has fought tooth and nail to be the next in line to take over as the new Creative Director at an ad agency. But instead of moving into a new office, she gets a new boss, and he’s the last person she ever wanted to see. A war between two families forced her and her former best friend Justin apart and he poured salt in the wound on his way out of her life. Yet he got the job she wanted and her hate flows more freely than ever before.
Justin only got the job because his big shot dad put his two cents in, but being the boss is always fun, especially when you get to be in control of someone from your past. It’s no secret Remi despises him, but he strikes a deal to bring her to his side. And as they work together to woo a major client, it’ll take more than a raise and some creative control to get her to listen…especially when the line between business and pleasure becomes seriously blurred.
As always, Kelly has given life to a cast of varied characters without making them sound like cartoons. There’s the dippy client with her far out tone, Remi’s firm voice that often shows her hidden weakness, and Justine’s sultry baritone. As you listen, it’s very easy to stay on track with who is who without having to rewind. I think that’s what makes Kelly successful in her field. She toes the fine line between giving each character a distinct sound and making them each a caricature, and she does it beautifully.
And then there’s the thing where the last Kelly audiobook I listened to was a sweet, Christian romance that took place on a ranch. It’s wild how she can go from sweet to spicy without a hitch. That’s real talent.
Now, for the story. Okay, so Justin must have a magic cock. Demi is spitting venom, but the moment he whips it out, she loses all self worth and just gets down on her knees and lets him do whatever he wants. I’m all for BDSM relations, but this was on par with the Fifty Shades issues of trust and mutual respect. When the surprise “butt stuff” first happened, she hadn’t even forgiven him yet for how he once treated her.
Outside that, it was a great plot then went seamlessly from the big city to underground Hawaii without a beat. The history behind Justin and Remi’s relationship is deep and complicated. It couldn’t be washed away with just an apology and more than one conversation had to happen before the pair could even begin to settle thing between them. I liked Remi at once and wanted to kick Justin right out of that office. But when you get to know Justin, you’ll see that under the protective layer he’s been forced to take, he might just surprise you.
If you like second chance romances then you will love this one. Because of something that happened when they were younger, these two have been on the other side of the fence with each other but because of a meddling client, they find their way back together. Very nice book that keeps you interested throughout.
Narration was done beautifully as always when I hear a book by Meghan Kelly.
This was the first book I have read/listened to by BB Hamel, as well as the first narration by Meghan Kelly.
The story itself was really strong, and Remi/Justin had really great chemistry, but I really did not like Remi. She was whiny, selfish, spoiled, brat. I’ve never heard of someone talking to their boss – no matter how much they didn’t like the boss – the way that she did. She spent the whole book blaming Justin for his fathers actions, and never once did she think about anyone but herself. I loved Blair and how weird she was, I really had a whole Lady Gaga vision going for her.
The audio performance was well done. At the beginning I really wasn’t sure how I felt about the narrator but as I continued to listen I realized that I was only annoyed during Remis parts, and realized I was more annoyed with Remi than the narration itself. Will be looking for other audios by Meghan Kelly in the future.

This was a fast paced book but with a good story and a good HEA.
The story of Remi and Justin started a long time ago when they were just kids, they were best friend with strong feelings but life and circumstances separate them.. not knowing what happened Remi feels like Justin broke her heart and betray her in some way.. she doesn’t know exactly what happened, she just knows that he doesn’t want her anymore and that she has to move on far away from him.
life goes by, she has a new life and a new project that apparently she is about to lose to the person she loves/hates the most. she didn’t count to see him again, to feel what she feels and to want him as much as the first time. she didn’t count he is the want stealing her dreams. a roller coaster of emotions, an enemy to lovers story that will keep you enjoying this story from the very first moments and lines..
The narrations by Meghan Kelly were good and Overall the story and book were good.
AudioBookObsession.
Great book! The main characters were both strong and likable. The author has given this plot more depth by having them know each other as kids. It also has some fantastic steam scenes lol The narrator did a fantastic job of keeping the story on a good pace. She also did a great job with the voices! Really enjoyed her performance. All in all, this audiobook was definitely 5 stars!

Hating My New Boss by B. B. Hamel is a hate to love office romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Meghan Kelly. This is the first book of B.B. Hamel’s that I have read and look forward to reading or listening to more books from her in the future. Meghan did a great job narrating with the different voices she used for the multiple characters. I can’t wait to discover more books that she has narrated. I liked that the book switched between Justin and Remy points of views so you could really get into each of their heads. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves office romances, second chance romances, or enemies to lovers.

Audiobook Review:
Hating My New Boss, Hate Love Book One entices you with its seductive cover.
The narrative provides the brass tracks without sweetening up with fluff. The history behind Justin & Remi includes a arcane about the past that is revealed. Intricately placed in the narrative to create a electrifying effect. With a complex & arduous history Justin & Remi drudge through their past to indulge in the cards. Provocatively enticing, entertaining character’s & revelry to listen to.
Meghan Kelly narrates a story in a way that gives each character their own distinct voice.. Remi is portrayed with a unwavering & tenacious voice, as Justin’ is with a sultry, baritone voice that complement each other. The pace & tone poured out smoothly.
Passed over for a promotion Reno is forced to work for her childhood best friend who abandoned and betrayed her after his father betrayed her father costing her family millions in a business deal
Remi and Jason’s story as they learn to work together, heal the wounds of the past as Jason reveals the truth of what happened is a passionate turmoil of a love/hate relationship of getting past the past to starting a new. it’s off the chart hot and steamy and had me blushing a few times.
This is my first B.B. Hamel book, it is very well written with developed characters that had me captivated from the very beginning
I think this is my favorite Meagan Kelly performance. She brought the emotion of the characters out so perfectly. She moves through the characters with such expertise. She had me cracking up as the Australian, sorry don’t remember his name and brought Blair’s bizarreness out like a pro.
Definitely recommend
I think every range of emotion is brought out in this book. There’s anger, unfairness, happiness, sadness, confusion, humor, and a fair amount of steaminess. A well done storyline.
I am in awe of Meghan Kelly’s talent. She can take any character in any situation and perform it perfectly!
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Lots of angst, drama, twists and some steamy romance. This is my first B.B. Hamel book and it will not be my last, she is a gifted & creative writer. Thank you for the great read!!
I listened to the audiobook, Meghan Kelly does not just narrate the story she performs it, brings it to life and draws you into it. She gives each character their own voice & switches characters back and forth effortlessly and keeps the story in a perfect flow. Meghan Kelly is a natural talent, thank you for another awesome listen!!
This is a quick romance that centers on Davis, a self-made billionaire who went to school with Carly whose aspirations were to be an actress. They were friends in high school; that is until Davis went out with Carly’s best friend. Did he not know Carly had actual feelings for him? That’s what turned Carly’s feeling for Davis from love to hate especially the way he’d go on about Carly’s best friend.
Now years later and they meet again and some things have changed. Davis is still hot as ever but now he has a ton of money and Carly…well she is not an actress but she still hates Davis for how he broke her heart. Now that propositions are made who will come out on top? Will either of them have their heart in tack once this plays out?
Audiobook Review: Hating My New Boss (Hate Love Book 2) by B.B. Hamel (Author), Meghan Kelly (Narrator)
Hamel proves that sexy and meaningful go hand in hand. Hating My New Boss is a tale of forgiveness and redemption with a naughty twist. After events beyond their control ruin a youthful friendship, only adulthood can bring these broken hearts back together again. Was not a huge fan of the Blair character, but Kelly had me rooting for Remy and Justin.

5 star Review Hating My New Boss (Hate Love #2) by B.B. Hamel
B.B. Hamel is a new author to me and I have no idea why.
Remi Brooks is shocked to find out that her boss has been pushed out of the company she has been working for. Even worse, she herself has been passed over to replace her and her new boss is Justin Hayes, a man she hates.
Justin’s father ruined her father and Justin himself, once her best Freda, backed away an deserted her. Now she hates Justin and his family with a passion.
I was intrigued with the premise of this story and couldn’t wait to dive in. I really loved Justin although Remi did annoy me at times. There were so many layers to Justin and I just wanted to hug the little boy he was.
I must say that Blair was an unusual character but one that I actually liked. I enjoyed this smoking hot and sizzling story and the narration from Meghan Kelly was fantastic.
TBH, the book is a bit of a misnomer because Alice never really hates Ben. Alice the piano tuner meets former player Ben in the wee hours at the studio where they both work. Ben is bored and restless, and sees something special in Alice. He uses his money to keep her close, give her opportunities, and fuel his own creativity. They’re a perfect match, and I loved how hard perfectionist Ben was willing to try to just get to know Alice a bit better. A sweet read with lots of heat.
Well, I did enjoy the storyline, it really is an enemy to lover kind of story. I didn’t feel the BDSM thing was something for this story.
Remi fights for everything that she wants in life. Justin is the total opposite. He is given everything by his father he wants for nothing and he feels really no shame about it. Even when he walks into his new office and Remi is there in what should have been her new office. Needless, to say Remi is NOT a happy person.
For me, if Remi is that mad or not in tune with Justin at work and doesn’t like him, why would she let him do anything in the BDSM line. You have to trust that person. Sex is one thing, but when it comes to being tied up and so on that takes a huge set trust.
I would recommend this story but it wasn’t one of my favs of B.B. Hamels
