I will admit that I did not like Trent at all, however, as the story progressed he slowly began to gain some redemption and more likeable qualities. The story of a young teenaged girl crushing hard over her older brother’s best friend that is an epic fail isn’t new nor, is the realization of years later Trent being Brooke’s new boss, it’s the part that Trent kicks his displorable behavior up a bunch of notches and treats Brooke poorly, unfairly and with disdain. Brooke’s strong, determined and righteous mindset puts a damper on Trent’s obvious attempt to get her to quit or fire her just because he’s uncomfortable with her presence because it reminds him of how he broke her heart all those years ago. How Trent and Brooke are able to get past all of that is a testament of their lingering feelings and true emotions that can not be extinguished. I love the complete turn around from them and a very satisfying happy ending.

Brooke remembered how her first real crush completely crushed her heart when she was 18 – fast forward a few years and now that same boy is her boss.
When Brook showed up on Trent’s team, he didn’t know how to handle himself. The girl that stole his heart those years ago, the mistake he made, the letter, and now he is her boss. Fate isn’t kind to him. But when Trent’s boss encourages him to just get rid of her after finding out that the two of them have history, is he going to be able to go thru with it or will he finally get what his heart has always wanted?
Kelli nailed it with this story, the Trent and Brooke has so much depth. Their chemistry was off the charts and I found myself internally yelling at Trent a few choice words a time or two. I loved the plot and how Brooke wasn’t a pushover, she definitely stood her ground. I really enjoyed this and the ending was just perfect!

I wanted to kick him for most of the story
So I really tried to like Hatefully Yours but I just could not fall into the story fully. Actually through most of the book I wanted to do two things – kick Trent, the supposed H, all the way up his azz and back and then also separate both the H and h completely apart. I cannot say that one of my favorite story-line is enemy to lover but if it is done well then it can make for a really great read. I just found this one to be to overly dramatic and in the end when they find their love connection again it was just too unbelievable that she would go down that road again after the way he had bullied her. I just kept wanting to tell her there were other jobs out there and to run to them immediately. This book was just not for me but I am sure there will be other that will love it. So if you happen to be one of those people then more power to you as variety is the spice of life.

This is another great Kelli Callahan book, and I didn’t want it to end! The characters and storyline were original, and the steam level is 10/10.
An absolutely fantastic second chance romance! It is a well written, well-developed, consistent, and engaging on the edge of your seat captivating read with nail-biting suspense and twists and turns. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is off the charts. This book will hold your interest from beginning to end. Definitely recommended!

You will probably hate Trent for most of the book. When they were younger he had feelings for Brooke but did not act on them because he was best friends with her brother. She had a crush on him since she was 15. Their chance arrives the night of her graduation but immaturity and bad decisions cause a deep hurt for Brooke. She writes a hate letter and moves on. 5 years later he is her boss at her new job. She tries to be amiable he acts like a imbecile. He pretty much becomes a bully on the job. They eventually find there love reconnection.

Brooke and Trent were a couple who loved each other before Trent walked away and left her behind. He had a lot of achievements on his mind and had to be single minded about it. Brooke had to make her own puzzled way because he never told her the extent of his ambition. They met again later when he was on the fast track in the important AD agency he worked for. She was a new hire experienced in marketing and advertising. Brooke had sent a letter to Trent shortly after he left that told him of her hurt and bitter feelings. A rocky start for sure. The book had a story that built up and had characters developing along with it. Enjoyed reading this book and recommend it.
4.5 stars
I enjoyed this book although it wasn’t a relaxing read for me. If I want reviewing it’s probably not a book I would go for, however in saying that I was pleasantly surprised. The concept where the couple loathe each other for specific reasons, leading to drama and tension just doesn’t sit will. They do redeem themselves obviously because this essentially is a romance. I did like the writing and the dialogue which was sharp and sassy. A really great book and really enjoyed it despite my misgivings. That definitely proves this book is good.

Is taken place years before on Brooks graduation day. Trent mistake made the tables turned in the worst way.
Trent has always had feelings for Brooke and broke her heart being with another woman in compromising position..

Kelli always ends her books with a HEA that’s silver lining

I really enjoyed this book. It is an enemy to lovers story for Trent and Brooke. These two have a past that a twist and turn of events tore these two apart. Both of them have different views of course of what the ‘night that changed everything happened’ turned out like but was it really what happened? What was said? It has been five years and now Brook is returning to Cabot Beach which is all great but her new boss is Trent. Can they let the past go? Are the feelings of revenge and heartbreak too story to move forward from? Is a second chance even a possibility? I love reading this author’s work as there is always a great story line to the book that flows so smoothly and sucks you in. The characters are always perfect for their roles and play them out wonderfully. Enjoy!

Brooke and Trent’s journey of love is an emotional roller coaster ride and a great second chance love story. This is filled with drama, betrayal, heartbreak, love, steam and a great ending.
I enjoyed this story. The characters were very well developed.
Trent was Brooke’s older brother’s best friend and her crush for many years. On the night of her graduation, he breaks her heart. Brooke left her home in Cabot Beach five years ago with a broken heart. She wrote a letter to Trent and signed it Hatefully Yours. Now, she is starting a new job and her boss is Trent, the guy that broke her heart. He wants to destroy her and she feels the same about him.
But things aren’t always the way they seem and sometimes finding out more about something can change your perception.
Loved how supportive they became of each other. Loved their happy ever after. I definitely recommend reading this book.

This was an awesome book from Kelli. She has brought your a brother’s little sister, best friend romance that should have taken place years before but due to a mistake one made the tables turned in the worst way. This story is about Brooke and Trent. Trent has always had feelings for Brooke, but she is his best friends little sister and there are bro codes that should not be broken, so what does he do instead, gets caught with Brookes best friend. This broke Brookes heart and well that created an issue with her brother and Trent. Fast forward and they meet again, but this time Trent is the one upset and tries to get rid of Brooke. I will not give out more on the book, but it is a must read. Kelli always ends with a HEA, so you know that it will not disappoint.
