I’m so glad that drama is done! But the drama is what made this book so hard to put down. Samantha and Cole have a heck of a time learning to communicate and listen. That’s what young love is about though. Loved their story.

The story Hate to Love You (Baker’s Bunch Book 1) by Lily Ryan is a new adult/romance book. It is a story that pulled me in from the very beginning and I was hooked. I loved reading about the characters of Cole Andrews and Samantha Stone. Their story is one that is an emotional journey that had me turning pages to find out what happens next. These two both have deep feelings for each other. There is a night of passion that changes everything. They are keeping their relationship a secret. Especially from her brother who happens to be Cole’s best friend. Secrets have a way of coming out. What does the future hold for Samantha and Cole? Will he lose her and his best friend? Read this book to find out. Samantha and Cole are characters that I grew to care about with each chapter that I read. I wanted them to find happiness. This story has romantic moments that make the temperature in the room rise. This is a romance book that you don’t want to miss out reading. I highly recommend it.
Being a brothers best friend read I knew that some of the conflict in the story would center around that aspect and I didn’t have an issue with that. This was an good NA story. I liked Cole and Sam well enough but all the back and forth was a little annoying to me. They both seemed really immature at times and it kinda lasted right up to the end of the book and then no epilogue to see them really happy together instead of just fighting. I get that with their ages that there can be a lot of back and forth which is why I’m not going to base my rating on that. For the most part I did like it. I read it in one sitting because I wanted to see them happy together and rooted for them from the start. So it’s going to be 4 stars because while they did end up together, I just wish there was an epilogue to see that happiness with didn’t center around others causing issues, them selves causing issues and just them in bliss with each other. Fans of adults YA and NA will enjoy this read. 4 stars #2OCCJD
This is a complete teenage angst relationship book. Both are adults but very immature and it shows through the entire relationship.
Hate to love you by Lily Ryan
This book was a first fir me from Lily Ryan and I was glad I got a chance to read it so thank you to the author. This book is about Cole and Sam. Just when her brothers life is turned up side down Sam decides she is going to finally let her feelings for her brothers best friend known. Cole has been torn up about his feelings fir Sam and his friendship with Tyler Sam’s brother. After no longer being able to resist each other they start a hidden relationship. Ok to be honest I really didn’t really like them at times. It was too much back and forth between them which by the way they were way to immature for me. I don’t really enjoy the fact that throughout the entirety of the book it’s really them just arguing and we really don’t get to see them really together. But for the most part I enjoyed the book it was fast and the hostility between Sam and her father and all the unknown kept me reading.
An emotional story about forbidden love.
Tugs on your heartstrings, with taking you on their journey
LOVE. LUST. TENSION. FORBIDDEN LOVE and HEART BREAK.
This is a second chance love story that had me flipping those pages! I loved it.
Sam has been in love with her older brother Tyler’s best friend for years. Cole was the one who always accepted Sam as a tag-along when they were growing up. If Sam needed someone to talk to Cole was always there ready to listen, give her advice or a hug.
Cole
was Tyler’s best friend and grew up with Sam around, he knew he had feelings for Sam but always pushed them aside whenever they surfaced to the front of his mind because Sam was OFF LIMITS. Tyler has made that clear to every one of his friends on more than one occasion.
One particular night when Sam was upset from a relationship breakup Cole was the one to listen, offer his shoulder to cry on but what they didn’t expect was for it to lead to a kiss. That kiss opened up Pandora’s box and emotions they kept locked away surfaced and EXPLODED.
I loved this story of Sam and Cole, it kept me engaged throughout the whole book – as all of Lily’s book do, she has a way of sucking you into the story from the first page.
Sam and Cole’s story is a bumpy ride with hurdles and stop signs on their way to find their HEA.
Brilliant read!!

Four Stars
Hate to Love You is the first book in the Baker’s Bunch series by
Lily Ryan. This story had me hooked from the very first page and I read the whole book in one sitting. This emotional read had me rooting for Cole and Samantha. Trying to keep their feelings a secret can only cause problems between themselves, their family and friends. This is set for a younger crowd but I still loved it in my middle age. The emotions were a roller coaster ride that will make you go from high highs to low lows. I enjoyed the readsand hope to read the next book in the series.
Hate to Love You by Lily Ryan was a good introduction to this author for me. This new adult forbidden best friend’s little sister romance, kept me turning the paper to find out what was going to happen next. Cole and Samantha have been in each other’s life for about 8 years, but the day Samantha’s brother over-dozed is when things changed for them. It’s the unforgettable question of will they or won’t they start a relationship? Are they going to hide or tell the brother?
Young love can be so confusing and insecurities can make you do some stupid things. Cole and Samantha had a lot of ups and downs throughout this book that can make your head spin but once things were out in the open, things came together in a good way. I would love to see some of the secondary characters get a book and get updates on Cole and Samantha. This could be a good start to a college romance series.
Hate to Love You is the first book in the Bakers Bunch Series by author Lily Ryan. Samantha Stone has had a thing for her big brother’s best friend, Cole Andrews, since she was a pre-teen. After an incident forces the two together for one night, they decide they want each other but don’t know how their relationship would affect those around them. Do they take a chance or go back to the place they have always held in each other’s lives?
This was a pretty good story; I did definitely prefer Cole’s character over Samantha’s though. Samantha was definitely a young, naïve and at times highly annoying. Fortunately for the story she does redeem herself. This was my first book by Ms. Ryan but it probably won’t be my last.

Hate To Love You ( Baker’s Bunch Book 1 ) By Lily Ryan
Hate to Love you is the first Book in The Baker’s Bunch Series by Lily Ryan I’m a huge fan of Lily Ryan and was very excited to dive into what I already knew was going to be a amazing story. I was hooked from the beginning and couldn’t put it down till the end. I had to know what happens next. This is about Cole and Samantha. These two are keeping their relationship a secret especially since Samantha’s brother is Cole’s best friend. But we all secrets always come out sooner or later. What happens next? Can these two have a future together? Will Cole loose his best friend and Samantha? Find out what happens next I highly recommend reading this Book. I look forward to reading more from this Author.
Hate To Love You is the first book in the Baker’s Bunch series by Lily Ryan. It was the first time I had read any work from this author so I was unsure what to expect. What I got was a well written ‘forbidden love’ story that I really enjoyed.
Samantha (also Sam or Sammie) Stone has been in love with her brother Tyler’s best friend Cole Andrews for as long as she can remember.
Cole Andrews has been secretly fighting his attraction to his best friend Tyler’s little sister Sammie for a long time. Tyler has never hidden the fact that he would be ‘extremely upset’ if Cole ever went anywhere near Sammie.
When tragedy almost strikes and Tyler has a very narrow escape from the grim reaper, Cole and Sammie, in comforting each other, take their friendship to a whole new level.
In trying to keep things from Tyler, Cole ends up deeply hurting Sammie and what ensues is an excellent storyline between Sammie, Cole, Tyler and a few other secondary characters who are a great addition to the story. What I did have to remind myself on many occasions was just how young Sammie’s character was, as so many times I wanted to scream “grow up” at her.
I really enjoyed this first book in the Barker’s Bunch series and as there were some really great secondary characters, I look forward to seeing what the author has in store in future books in the series
One of my favourite reads is a second chance romance and this one was no different it had me hooked from page one. Cole and Sam have always had chemistry and feelings for one another while they were growing up but at the time a relationship just wasn’t going to happen it was a big fat NO so they just kept how they were truly feeling to themselves which isn’t easy. Year’s later thing’s change they kiss will they finally get their happy ever after and be together and true to themselves. Such a brilliant read i enjoyed every second!
Hate to Love You (Baker’s Bunch Book 1) By Lily Ryan. I loved everything about this book, the author writes a story that had me completely hooked from start to finish. The emotions and chemistry Cole and Samantha have jumped off the pages and took me on quite the journey. I’m a sucker for a “forbidden “ love story and while they can get predictable not once did I feel that feeling reading this story. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. The characters are complex and relatable and I truly won’t forget their story any time soon. I can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next. I’m giving this story a five star review and highly recommend it.

So he admits his feeling to her but tells her that for the time being, they need to keep their relationship a secret. I absolutely loved this book and I can not wait for more!!!!

Baker’s Bunch Book 1
My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
This book was a rough ride. The story is wonderful, the characters are fantastic and the issues Sam and Tyler’s family face are very real. The drama with Sam and her brother’s best friend Cole is over the top. I say that because everything can always be worked out by communication, but Sam seemed to have the most trouble doing that. Throughout the whole book it seemed Sam and Cole just couldn’t stop breaking each other’s hearts over and over. At one point Cole has had enough and Sam realizes she could lose him forever if she doesn’t get her issues together. Their relationship is beautiful though, and I really pulled for them the whole way.
This book had me on edge the whole way through and I could not put it down. There are some great steamy scenes and an awesome story line. I would highly recommend this to any romance lover.
Hate to Love You is the first book in Lily Ryan’s Baker’s Bunch Book. It is a young adult story of the pain of growing up … it is a hot mess overloaded with emotions and knee jerk reactions and it is not surprising, it is for young adults so if you are of my age and you found yourself reading it, tone down your criticism and look at it through the eyes of the young ones. Growing up is not a party though at times it seems so to us who are on the fringes and we look at the popular crowd!
Hate to Love You is a forbidden love story of Samantha ‘Sam’ Stone and Cole Andrews. Cole is Sam’s brother’s best friend so you can imagine why it is a forbidden love story! Things happen and both give in to their feelings for one night … what happens then? The writer gives us the story from both Sam’s and Cole’s point of view so we have the front row seat to their angst, I mean their feelings … it is a rollercoaster ride and most of us can relate to it for sure! As it is the first book in the series, I wonder who the next one is …

This is the third book that I have enjoyed by this author, I always find it so easy to get into the stories that she writes and the characters are always enjoyable to read about. Second chance romance stories are always one I like to read about, I love to see people who have a genuine connection find each other again and then throw in the ‘forbidden relationship’ part to it too and I am in book heaven! Hate to Love You was exactly what I wanted from a story in this genre! I love Cole and Sam and I was rooting for them the whole way through. There were some quite emotional parts to this book that the author really wrote about well and I felt like I knew these characters really well by the end of the story.
I really did enjoy this story and would highly recommend it to other readers. I will also be looking forward to reading more from Ms Ryan again in the future!!

Rated 5 stars
First off I LOVE that cover! It totally drew me in to check out this story. Best friend brother/sister stories are a favorite so I have high hopes. This really doesn’t disappoint. I could NOT put this down. I was a bit grouchy when family tried to interrupt me. Luckily I was done with work for the day.
This couple! Not only is the couple going to have problems because this is a best friends sister book but now there is another bad element in the story. I am in anguish for these two people. My heart is beyond broken. I can see what is going to happen and want to say “Stop! Stop right now”. But of course this is a story so that doesn’t really work. I just have to plug along with tears streaming out of my eyes and my heart in two pieces. Also a few vocal admonishments here and there.
I love how Cole is throughout this whole story. Yes there are irritating times but overall he is trying. He has to deal with the whole forbidden fruit issue because that is what Sam is to him. She just can’t get that through her head. She doesn’t understand why and that’s when things happen. She is young and has a lot of issues going on in her life
My only issue and it’s not really a big one but these characters are very young. (Well Samantha is.)I can easily still see all the drama and emotional stuff that affect teenagers in her actions. I loved the story but that got old. I’m sure it happens in real life all the time but I am surprised that Cole hangs on beings he is just a bit older. I was so proud of him when he denied her. I really felt for him for many different reasons. He did say some very nice things and he was my favorite character.

I really liked the premise of this book, but it felt just a tad rushed in timeline and the make-up after conflict. I understand they’re new adults, so maturity for somethings aren’t there yet but otherwise a great story.
I love a siblings best friend romance. While I didn’t agree with the way they did things I understood why it happened that way.
This book also has a nice message of never jump to conclusions on things as they aren’t always what they appear.
