I was engrossed in the story of Viola, Gus and Jasper relatively quickly and couldn’t put the book down. Love to Hate Her is book 1 in the Wild Minds duet and Hate to Love Him is the 2nd. Book 1 ends on a cliffhanger, but book 2 is also immediately available and the story seamlessly transition to the 2nd book. A lifetime love triangle technically between Viola, Gus and Jasper; but in a loving way as Gus and Jasper are twins. Actually, their full band has feelings for Viola which is captivating. I found myself wondering if I was going to stumble into a mmf situation, but it’s not like that, yet is feels more like brotherly love too.
I loved it. I could sure get wrapped up in being loved by the band members of Wild Minds. I would call this a slow burn, angsty, story of loss, heartache, love, hot chemistry; a swoon-worthy romance. I loved it and recommend it! Both books in this duet!
Picking up right where the first book left off, readers are immediately thrust back onto the rollercoaster ride of emotions between Violet and Jasper as his band’s tour continues. The push/pull between them is still apparent, amped up actually as I’m even more invested in this couple and am desperate for them to finally reach their HEA. There’s a lot of pain from the past festering between them, but a lot of love too and it’s that tempting promise of HEA that keeps me frantically turning the pages as speed bump after speed bump comes barreling at them. Through it all it was clear that they’re meant to be in a romance full of angst, from within and from the outside world as the steep price of fame reared its ugly head along the way. Viola and Jasper weathered every storm though, weathered each high and low, becoming stronger with each turn of the page in a romance that pulled at my heartstrings while steamy up the pages.
Viola was a wonderful heroine, strong-willed, loving, and kind hearted. With a drug-addicted mother she’s had some tough times but was always able to rise above it. She was once close to the members of Wild Minds, but being betrayed by Gus had her walking away only to return now in order to care for Jasper’s autistic daughter. Being back feels like coming home though and it’s clear that this band is her family, despite the conflicting feelings she has for Jasper that are only getting stronger and stronger. The relationship between her and Ady is particularly beautiful. It’s clear that the author has a good grasp on dealing with autism and it was a realistic and respectful depiction that showed just how patient and caring Viola is. Ady was a delight herself and I enjoyed seeing her branch out, take chances, and engage more with the world. Jasper still frustrated me from time to time, but he had a lot weighing on him as the paparazzi and others were out for blood and he’s a very protective man. Readers get to see plenty of Gus this time around and I liked discovering new layers to someone who’s always projected the rockstar persona. There’s a lot more substance to the cocky rocker and I found myself liking him even more in this installment.
The romance between Viola and Jasper was one that was hard-fought, but it was an immensely satisfying one that requires reading the previous installment where things first started for them. Angst galore, loving moments that were both bold yet subtle, it all made for an epic journey that had me rooting for them every step of the way. The rockstar world was vividly depicted here too and it made for a heavy weight between them at times. Despite each up and down this pair (along with Ady) was meant to be a family, in scenes that warmed my heart while putting a smile on my face. Surrounding this unforgettable main couple were the other equally delightful members of Wild Minds, playful yet supportive bandmates who I’d love to see more of. I especially hope to see more of Gus as the new layers shown here are mightily tempting! Fans of rockstar romances will definitely want to grab this series with its second chance story full of heart and soul.
This is the 2nd and concluding part of this duet, and Jasper and Viola’s journey continues. Jasper is a front man for one of the worlds biggest rock bands, and as a single dad to his little girl Addy, and he hired Viola as the nanny. Life on a tour bus is not easy as both characters have complicated pasts and present and their relationship is on rocky ground, but together they are perfect, and they have many challenges to overcome along the way. This is a beautifully written story which had me totally enthralled throughout this amazing story. I look forward to reading Gus’ story next.
Even though i adored Jasper at times I wanted to throat punch him at how he spoke to Viola. He literally gave me such bad whiplash that at times I wanted her to just shank his ass lol but when finally woke up it was absolutely flawless
This duet was my first full reads by this author and I was pretty blown away. The twists and turns these books make kept me hooked the whole way and the angst was giving me so much life. I cannot wait for more of this world and I just really felt for all the characters in this and I fell completely in love with Ady. I happily and voluntarily reviewed this on behalf of Wildfire marketing and the author.
My heart is so full right now and I’m a bit of an emotional mess, but no true words could describe how much I loved this book. The continuing story of Viola, Jasper and Gus is so amazing that I can feel their emotions down to my very soul. To understand the dynamics of these three, you need to read Love To Hate Her first. Viola and Jasper are meant to be, and I felt that Gus knew this even though he doesn’t want to admit it.
Jasper knows Viola is the one for him and has for a long time but he doesn’t want to hurt his brother. Viola is also incredible with Jasper’s daughter, and that makes it even harder for him to stay away. When one night happens, can Gus and Viola actually makes a go of their relationship without hurting others? And when outside forces try to keep them apart, can their love and affection for each other keep them together?
I loved every single thing about this story and I fell so in love with these characters. The emotions I felt, the love I felt, how my heart broke and was put back together makes me say, please, please, please, read this incredible story. You will enjoy and love it as much as I did!
I fell in love with this moving story and its characters. They are complex, beautiful and unique.
I cried, I laughed and enjoyed every moment of Hate to Love Him.
The incredible J. Saman made of this the perfect ending to a perfect love story!
Hate to Love Him is book2 in this Wild Hearts duet and conclusion to Jas and Vi’s journey! I so loved getting more of Jas and Vi! OMG my heart hurt at times with that drama, and my heart soared for these two! We got so much more with book2! Again that special little girl played such a awesome part in this story! Epilogue 1 was amazing and epilogue 2 was just as amazing! I’m so happy Gus is getting his story can’t wait!
“Love is a determined, resilient beast. It won’t be destroyed without a fight. It won’t give up, even when you beg it to. Even when you sincerely hate the one you love.”
“I’m forever torn in two when it comes to this woman. I cannot keep her. I cannot let her go.”
Hate to Love Him is the final book in this angst-filled duet. With the way the first book ended, I was in pins and needles to know the conclusion to Jasper and Viola’s love story. Needless to say, it was everything I wanted and more.
The angst of a love triangle, especially if the men involved are brothers, had me completely in my feels. I love Jas and Viola to be together, but I couldn’t help but feel sorry for Gus. The betrayals and revelations were completely unexpected but added to the incredible ending of this book. I’m positively thrilled to learn that there will be a book for Gus and I can’t wait for him to have his own HEA.
J. Saman continues to torture THREE hearts meant to be together! The second half of her romantic duet, HATE TO LOVE HIM makes book one look like an emotional walk in the park, page after page, after page!
After being left in an emotional chokehold, book two picks up with even more detail, more gut-clenching twists and an even higher level of writing from this talented author! J. Saman shows her expertise in how she handles autism and the repercussions of the insatiable public where fame and fortune is paid for in spades.
As Jasper’s love for both his daughter and Viola becomes even more obvious, events and horrors play out that just may force him to choose, unless someone else does it for him. All the while, I am screaming NO, NO, NO! In a world where things can get so ugly, how can Jasper and Viola finally find their own happily ever after?
Beautifully written, in turns sharp and jagged, then tender and sweet, one can only hope that love truly can conquer all, no matter who you are. A wonderful rollercoaster of romance, where one way or the other, things just have to work out, especially for Adalyn.
I received a complimentary ARC edition from J. Saman! This is my honest and voluntary review.
Viola and Jasper’s story continues (this one has the HEA). Part two picks up right after part one ends. I usually hate two-parters but I’m glad I made an exception. I love how J. Saman writes about Jasper’s autistic daugter. It is really on point for a ASD child, no “magic cure”, no blaming anything, it just is. How things can be overwhelming, and how you adjust your parenting as needed. J. learns to accept his love for V, and to understand Gus’s and V’s new relationship. V. had to deal with who was betraying her, there was a bit of a supprise I didn’t see coming. I hope Gus’s story comes soon!
Hate to Love Him by J. Saman. I was excited to get my hands on book 2 from Wild Love duet. This one was easy to read and very enjoyable. Storyline and characters flowed nicely with mild drama, great banter, and plenty of passion. Overall, a good love story that you don’t want to miss.
Working for a man that seems to hate having her around is not an ideal job for Viola, but with nothing else available she is choosing to try and make the best of the situation. From the moment they were reunited Jasper immediately got under her skin, quickly pushing her buttons, and making her heart skip a beat. He acts like he can’t stand her one moment, then acts like he wants her the next, it’s so confusing and so not worth the heartache. He is everything she wants and can’t have… or can she?
Hate to Love Him reunites us with once best friends, now somewhat rivals, Viola and Jasper, and puts us right back in the middle of their love/hate relationship. These two are perfect for one another, but they have a lot standing in their way. Jasper is so afraid of letting her in again and then coming up second place to his brother, His fear and love for her has him constantly running hot and cold, which then elicits this push and pull between them that will have you dying in anticipation…these two darn near wrecked me!! I loved my little reunion with these two, their story had many moments that made me smile and blush, and emotional moments that squeezed my heart in all the right places too. If you like love stories heavy on steam, mildly angsty, and rich with emotion then I have no doubt you will love what you find between the pages of this one… it has all of that and more! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
WOW, what a story with some surprising developments! I absolutely loved the conclusion of Viola and Jasper’s story. Parts of this story surprised me, but then parts didn’t. The biggest part that surprised me was something that Gus did. No, I’m not telling what it was, lol. You’ll have to read to find out. The part that didn’t surprise me was Jules turning out to be a bigger WITCH than I thought she was. I bet you’ll agree with me. I’ve always been Team Jasper, so I was so happy with this ending, but now I can’t wait to see Gus who will end up with. If you are looking for a book that is centered around family, the guys in the band are just that, then you will absolutely love this book. I bet you’ll love the relationship that Viola forms with Ady too. I love the cover, especially since it has purple, my favorite color, on it. Grab your copy and go on tour with Wild Minds.
This book is all the answers and more I needed from book 1. I practically devoured it in one sitting, I just couldn’t put it down. I’ll admit I was a little stressed going into this book. My biggest fear was that more and more drama would come about. And when Jasper and Viola weren’t immediately together in the first couple of chapters I started to get stressed. But once they finally got together I started to relax. Their first time? D**n… that’s all I’m gonna say. I loved this book. I loved how Viola viewed Jasper and his fame. I loved how strong she was, even when crap hit the fan. But what I truly loved the most was her interactions with Adalyn, Jasper, and even Gus.
Gus, now there is a man who needs his own story. The talk him and Jasper had.. what a heart. Loved their brotherly love!
I’m glad this book didn’t have as much angst as the first book. I don’t think my heart could have taken it. It had more swoon worthy moments and that’s what made me love it more. Jasper is a true romantic, especially his Prince Charming comparison.. lol
I’m glad I took a chance on this book. I’m glad I got to meet this amazing band, Viola, and especially Adalyn. This book definitely reminded me that life is precious and we should always treat people with respect, no matter how rich or poor they are. And in the end the ones we truly love and who truly love us will never hurt us. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*
