Holy mothers of monsters, I LOVE this book so hard!!!! Bloody hell, this author bring out the big guns and takes no prisoners. The list of monsters is absolutely monstrously fabulous! *Rawrrrr*
The book is HOT and Delicious!!!!! They guys make me drool like a teething baby and Dawn is just amazing!!!
We finally get some answers and a huge surprise that had my head spinning. Be ready for blood and smut.
The author reach into my imagination and show me a a world full of pain and monsters, but one where I can play in the darkness. I wish I could create such amazing work.
I high recommend this series!!!!
Not as good as the first one, Rage.
I looooved book 1, Rage, of K.A Knight’s Her Monsters series on audio and book 2, Hate, was just as good!! I thought the narration was on point, that both Celestine and Jason did superb jobs. I loved that even though Jason had so many male voices (more than book 1) to do, that he still changed them slightly so we could tell the difference before they said their name. It impressed me even more than it has done before, especially how different he sounded with the vampire vs Griffin vs Dume for example haha. I think Celestine did a better job in this one than book 1 with her inflections and emotions. I really felt this one (not that I didnt with book 1) but she really brought Dawn to life.
In terms of the story, I think I actually liked book 1 better, but only slightly. I loved that we get to see more from Dawn’s other mates and get more onscreen time with the mates she has already met. I loved her reunion with Nos btw. So freakin sweet in a book filled with rage, death, and gore. I thought the backstories were great and getting to learn more about these monsters was super intriguing and only made me want more. I loved the snark and laughter we get with Aska and technology, with Lucifer’s nickname, with Magnus and no one knowing at this moment what he truly is. I felt so bad for Griffin in this one, but did think he got a majority of the book in terms of the various mates. Not that it took away from my love of it, just an observation that hopefully some of the others get more onscreen in the 3rd and final book. I think, for me, the reason I would give this 4.5 stars instead of 5 stars for the storyline is because I thought sometimes the steamy scenes outshone/overpowered the story. I think it was while she was in her cell and she went back and forth with the various guys and because of how the chapters were broken up it felt like she was nonstop having sex with them. I love steamy scene, don’t get me wrong, I just think how it was sequenced and the frequency in that span was a tad overwhelming. Like if you have too much of a good thing in a short amount of time it diminishes it. Its better that they are somewhat spread out so when they do happen they are more impactful/special. Hopefully that made sense, it did in my head
This series gets s 5/5 from me, I am like the other reviewers, cannot wait to see what K.A Knight does in book 3 with how this story ended. I won’t give away any spoilers, but I hope this big baddy and the battle that will come will be even bigger than what Dawn and her monsters had to endure in Hate. I also hope Magnus is revealed sooooon because I want him and Dawn to connect
I just love how this author writes her alpha males. They are monsters, dominant and a bit twisted and crazy but they respect their equally monstrous female and they don’t try to control or oppress her.
I loved the first book in this series and have been eagerly awaiting the continuation of Dawn’s journey. Hate is full of everything you’ve come to love from these characters. Heavy on the plot, smexy times and violence this book is a must for anyone who loves theirs books dark with just a hint of humour. Fabulous work Katie and I can’t wait for the next one!
I absolutely adore the characters in this series. Dawn is such a strong willed tough as nails female who attracts equally tough (maybe a little insane?) men. The storyline is intriguing and amazingly complex. I can’t wait to see what is in store for Dawn and her monsters.
No spoilers of any kind included.
I thought Hate was amazing but then again I thought the same with Rage.
So basically Her Monsters series is freakin awesome!
So it’s definitely going to be a big HECK YEAH I do recommend this book to anyone searching for a fantastic story to climb into.
But a word of advice if you haven’t read Rage the first book then I highly suggest that you do!

OMG this book was amazing! I was hooked from beginning to end! Dawn is still bada** but learns she can lean on her mates when needed. Her mates are amazing and I loved how they love and care for her and always have her back! This book was wonderfully written with action, secrets and steam! I can’t wait to read the next one!
this series is effing fantastic!! Dawn is a force to be reckoned with by herself, but her mates make her amazing! cannot wait to see where Katie takes this fascinating adventure!!!
Man this book did not disappoint at all!!! So freaking good and even more yummy Monsters!! What a story of how woman are stronger than everyone thinks and can kick some ass for sure!! I loved the closure of some pieces and the beginning of others. Here come the Dragons and the monsters will be ready!
Ok soooo I loved Rage, and book 2 is PHENOMENAL!!! Ok it’s got lots of steam and blood and Dawn’s journey wow! So freaking well Witten!!! I devoured it! I am on pins and needles for book 3 and there’s a spin off already planned omge!!! This is one of my top 5! Fave series and it’s only book 2!!!!!!
What can you say about the amazingly badass Dawn and her men, ahem, monsters? K.A. does an amazing job with character creation. They are all so unique, yet they each have characteristics that readers can relate to. This book is HOT and steamy. The story is well written and I love the unique take on monsters who care about humans. I read this from start to finish in a few hours as I couldn’t put it down. I love it and I can’t wait to read the next one when available.
Typically I always like the first book of a series best, but this book was even better then the first one!KA Knight always blows me away. I love how I’m always able to forget everything and get wrapped up in an amazing book. Love how the story picked right up where it left off from the beginning. Still can’t decide which the men are my favorite cuz I love them all. So ready for next book!!
Wow, this book blew me away. I was a huge fan of Dawn and her monsters from the start and I loved reading about them again. Dawn and her mates take it upon themselves to take down the corruption and abuse they came across in the supernatural community and do it in style. Well, monster-style that is!
This book pulled me in, made me cry, laugh, … I love how it developed, the addition of more characters and the disposal of some threats, while others are still lurking to take down Dawn and her mates. It’s so well written and in some ways it felt relatable. I could totally see myself wanting to turn into Dawn for a day to protect my loved ones from harm. There’s no real cliffhanger at the end, but definitely a good hook into a next book. Perfect for now, because I do want to see these characters again in the future!
KA Knight has once again killed it with book two in this intensely dark and dangerous story! Dawn is back and even more fierce than before…got to love how happy she gets while going postal on the baddies. Then we get to her monster mates…Nos of course is number one and best of them all, he is the glue that keeps it all together. Then we gave a volatile fallen and a possessive dragon and then Dume…and with more to come! The interaction between the monster mates is hilarious especially when you mix in that the dragon it so in the dark ages .
As soon as the book started it grabs the reader and drags you into this unique and captivating world…blink and before yiu know it 20 chapters are finished and you cannot put it down. KA Knight has a real talent of creating worlds and characters to such a depth that yuh become so engrossed that you always want more. And the length of her books are great…you can really sink your teeth into them and forget about what is happening around you. Highly recommended second book in this intense series by a very talented authors.
Dawn is back and with her are her monsters, some old, some new and a couple undecided. But oh my! B.O.B. will be needed while reading this and make sure there’s a backup and some spare batteries…the heat level in this would give Lucy a run for his money. I love the relationship between Dawn and her monsters. They all bring something to the table and all give her something she needs. Getting to know them and their brand of crazy is way too fun. There’s the forrest god, 1st mate and the one who looks out for her best. The fallen who is psycho and keeps you on your toes but his broken gets Dawn’s broken. The dragon who takes possessive to a whole new level but is hilarious in his lack of modern day knowledge. This book gives a better glimpse of her monster of the labyrinth and…man I recommend a fan and ice water. Finally we are introduced to 3 more and I can’t wait to see what happens with 2 of the 3 since they’re sitting on the fence.
As for the story line, more revelations are made, secrets uncovered and Dawn fights the good fight, letting all of that hate and rage fuel her. She learns some valuable lessons about trust and second chances in this book. In the end she proves she’s so much more than just a pretty package. I loved the story and am intrigued by where it is heading. Hate never felt so good!
Wow I’m lost for words after this, Katie Knight has created fantastic characters that you fall for, so much happens in this book at one point my head was spinning with new plots and twists I could not put this book down its fantastic you will not be disappointed
Hate had me hooked. Dawn is collecting her monsters while still being awesome. She has been through so much turmoil and tragedy but she comes out of it all still smiling albeit scarily but still. Sane and her monsters are amazingly well written and so easy to fall in love with.
I am at a loss for words after finishing this book. As always with Katie’s books, I have fallen in love with these characters. Each of them has such a distinct personality. It’s amazing how Katie can create so many characters and have them work together so cohesively.
So many things transpired within these pages that it made my head spin. You are given so much information on not only Dawn but each of her mates as well. I am so excited to see where the next book takes us.
5 Monstrous Stars!!!
K.A. Knight is an amazing author and does not disappoint in this second installment in this series. The continuation of the story of Dawn and her mates is just as exciting, action-packed and HOT as the first book! I FLOVED IT! I couldn’t put it down and cannot wait for the next book!
