This story is expanded from the version in the Twisted Tales of Mayhem Anthology18+ for language and sexual situations…When Hatch, the beloved Sargent at Arms for the Dogs of Fire MC, finds himself falsely incarcerated, his woman, Maisie, must move heaven and earth to release him, while holding back a pack of ravenous bikers whose bite is worse than their bark.
Wow ! What a great story I have to say that I laughed throughout the entire story.I loved Hatch and Maisie as a couple not only did they have amazing chemistry they had a whole lot of fun together. This couple are definitely soulmates in every way and even after 15 years together they were more in love with each other then ever before.
When Hatch is arrested Maisie is not happy about being away from her man and vise versa as they have not spent a day apart since they met but, this women will move heaven and earth to get her man out of a jail cell. What a terror this women was OMG ! Dressing down badass bikers and threatening the Presidents of two different clubs “This women was downright scary and hell on wheels and we just loved her!”
This story was smoking hot ! There were a tons of hot and sexy scenes filled will affection and love and a whole lot of multiple orgasms “That Maisie was one lucky girl for sure !”Their chemistry together was off the charts.I have to say that this couple has made it into my hall of fame for favorite couples of all time I simply loved them.
What an amazing fun read that made us laugh out loud the entire story and had a great cast of characters that you could not help but love them all.
As always looking forward to the next book in this series as we are so loving it.
Finally getting to find out what happened with Hatch! While Hatch and Maisie are living happily together, someone decides to throw a wrench in it with stealing Hatch’s identity. Typically, that wouldn’t be the biggest deal, but in Hatch’s case, it causes him to get arrested due to that person purchasing bomb making materials! Desperate for information and to see her husband, the MC and friends are able to get her into the jail to see her husband, and let him know they are getting to the bottom of things. With help from a friendly MC which turns out to have ties to the MC’s original members, hostility and anger bubble up, but thankfully it’s accepted and they move on. Other than that, this book really just gives us an update and look into the continued story of Maisie and Hatch. Can’t wait for the next Dogs of Fire book!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I love Hatch & Maisie & this is a good bridge book to fill us in on what happened when Hatch was arrested. I enjoyed it! And it’s steamy steamy, too!! : )
I absolutely loved this story! It was great to catch up with Hatch and Masie and all the rest of the MC! There’s no doubt that Hatch and Masie are deeply in love with each other so when Hatch is wrongly arrested Masie and the Dogs do everything they can do to help him! There are ups and downs that bring them closer then ever! I loved seeing them after their hea! Hatch was a great addition to the Dogs of Fire series!
I’ve got to say, this is one of my all time favorite series and Piper Davenport and husband Jack are two of the best authors out there! Love this addition to Hatch and Maisie’s story…what a fabulous couple! Just getting a glimpse of these guys and all their family and friends makes me want to go back and read all their stories again…gonna have to do that. Thanks so much, Piper, for bringing this amazing group back, feel free to add on to any and all of the other “Dogs” and their significant others!
I dont care what anyone says Hatch is my freaking favourite favourite Dog!
I love the fact that this story was a bit more in depth story of Maisie and Hatch. And i loved the fact that we get to see what happens after the happily ever after. And the fact that we got to see a bit more of the other characters in Dogs World.
Hatch you will always always be my favourite.
Who doesn’t love reading more Hatch and Maisie. They are one of my favorite couples.
I always loved Hatch and Maisie and to get a novella dedicated to them, I was in Heaven. They are the quintessential couple doing anything and everything for each other. That becomes apparent when Hatch is falsely accused of a crime and is held in prison for a while. After he is released they and their immediate family take a trip to visit Maisie’s family in England. I am glad that hatch is interacting with another MC aside from the Dogs and Saints. The chemistry between Maisie and Hatch set my kindle on fire. They are such a strong couple and love each other so much couples want to be them. I can’t wait to see with this author has in store for us next!!
This is a short quick novella that checks back in with the Wallace family. When Hatch is arrested Maisie and the Dogs of Fire will stop at nothing to prove his innocence. There are cameos from a few old friends as well as some new faces, and I really enjoyed the story.
Originally released in the anthology Twisted Tales of Mayhem, Piper Davenport chose to re-release and expand on Hatch’s story. And this group of bikers is still one I love.
Hatch and Mazie’s story is a bit different in this book, they are already a happily married couple who are thrown a major curve ball. Hatch is arrested and Mazie and the rest of the MC have no clue why. Throw in some help from another MC and a visit “across the pond”, and you have a very interesting story. Hatch and Mazie are one of my favorite couples.
A steamy and sexy because this is Hatch and Mazie, with a bit of drama thrown in. Piper
Davenport continues to tell/write great stories.
I absolutely loved this book!!! Hatch and Maisie are one of my favorite couples and to be able to catch up with them and the rest of the MC gang was a real treat!! Hatch is now Prez of the Dogs of Fire in Portland. When he is arrested for no reason….Maisie is outraged and mad as hell. She will move heaven and hell to figure out what is going on and get her man out of jail and figure out who is behind all of this. Their story is full of twists and turns, highs and lows, and lots of hot steamy moments between the couple. One thing you can’t deny is the love they have for each other. If you are a MC fan…you need to read all of her MC books they are absolutely amazing and I can’t recommend them enough. I can’t wait to read the next book this talented author comes out with next. Well done!!!!!
I read part of this in Grace and Flea’s story Road to Grace and this was also in an anthology, I’m so glad that Ms Davenport extended this and made it into a novella, I think Hatch is one of my favourite Dogs and it was great to read what happened more in depth and beyond. It’s also great to visit with the rest of the characters, that’s what I like about these books.
More Dogs please, any Chapter will do.
This is a wonderful catch up of my favourite couple Hatch and Maisie. Hatch is now the president of the Portland Dogs of War, and when he is arrested his club and Maisie are in a tailspin, as they do not know the reason why. This is a wonderful quick read, which is fun, humorous, entertaining, and with twists which all lead to a steamy story. It is great to get a rare and unique insight into new characters, and future new stories. I highly recommend this gifted authors’ work for all MC lovers.
Hatch and Maisie are one of my favorite Dogs of Fire couples, and having read part of the events in Jack Davenport’s book Clutch, I was eager to read it from an alternate point of view.
Hatch’s story is a quick, yet entertaining read. A sexy, steamy story of friendship, family and brotherhood.
Another engaging addition to the series, and I can’t wait to read the next installment of the Dogs of Fire.
4 stars
Hatch is an after the HEA story in the Dogs of Fire MC series. Having read only one of the DOF books (and unfortunately it wasn’t Road to Peace, Hatch and Maisie’s story), I definitely felt a little out of sorts trying to figure out all the players (other MCs, as well as, disavowed members, make an appearance) but I still thoroughly enjoyed the all consuming love from Hatch and Maisie and the family they’ve built. The banter in this story was awesome and had me grinning throughout. Great, super short read.

Maisie and Hatch are one of my fav couples from this series, and I loved that we got to sort of catch up with them. If you haven’t read this series before, then you should read the previous stories before reading this novella. When Hatch gets arrested, Maisie is left in a tail spin. Her along with the other DOF members do their best to figure out how to get him out, including getting help from the most unlikely people. Just how long will Hatch have to spend in jail, and what lengths will Maisie go through to just see him?
This was a good catch up story, more like a what has happened in their lives style. I swear I read some of the events that happened in a previous book, but it could be that it was in a different POV, I would have to go back and look… maybe its time for a reread lol. With drama, some really hot naughty bits, and just an overall catch up with our beloved characters, I give this 4 stars.
A quick, after their HEA follow-up. I love catching up with old friends and remembering exactly what you loved about them from the beginning. Maisie and Hatch are such a fun couple to hang out with. Their banter is comic gold, their love is something to aspire to and their family, near or far, blood or brothers, means the world to them.
This was short, sweet and to the point and I must say since this swastika my first book reading by you, I can’t wait to readmore. You havea way with the words that leaves us wanting more. In throne we meet Hatch and Maisie, a couple that is so devoted and loved by each other that you can’t help but live them. They just get one another. We all need that in out life. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader’s Copy
I’ve always loved Maisey (and Hatch too, but Maisey is a hoot!) so when I found out there was going to be a follow up story about Maisey and Hatch, I couldn’t get my little hands on it fast enough! I knew going in that it wasn’t going to be like the other DOF books, it’s a story, kind of a “where are they now” with a twist, instead of an entire book. It’s an “after the HEA” and that’s how it should be read. Don’t get me wrong, there is a complete story, and all of the heat and excitement we expect from this author (and the series!) but don’t start reading with the expectation of a “meet, fall in love, HEA” type story. Cause this is not that!
Maisey is still just as much fun now, as she was in Road to Peace. She’s still funny, and knows who she is and what she wants. Her relationship with Hatch is just as hot (if not hotter! We’re talking supernova level heat here!) as ever. Nope, they are still rocking the HEA, but outside issues are trying to throw their happy life into a tailspin! And of course, Maisey and the Dogs are working to straighten everything out! (Seriously though, I want to be Maisey, when I grow up!)
This story was a quick read, one that left me with a “Ok, what’s next” kind of feeling. It works really well, to sort of wrap up the Dogs of Fire series, and introduce you to possibilities of what is coming up. I love the follow up feeling, catching up with my favorite characters from the Dogs. If you’ve read and loved the Dogs of Fire series, this is a must read. I certainly loved it!
I have loved Hatch and Maisie since Road to peace and getting another story with these two is awesome. I went into this book blind and didn’t know what to expect but in true form this blew !y expectations out of the water. I’m ready for what Piper throws at us next.
