Soren:You know what’s not fun? Going on a Fiji vacation with four other couples. Especially when recently single. What’s even worse is when a past hook-up arrives unannounced. Not only do we have a history, but he’s ten years younger and a famous rock star. Most importantly, he’s my friend’s little brother.Being trapped on an island with Jet Jackson is going to be sweet torture because all I want … torture because all I want is another chance.
I just don’t think he’s going to give it to me.
Jet:
You know what’s not fun? Escaping one guy who broke my heart only to run into another.
Being on the road for three years has left me exhausted. The last thing I want is for Caleb ‘Soren’ Sorensen to try for round two.
I can’t fight my draw to him. I’ve never been able to.
I’m suddenly back to being the naïve kid who stupidly lusted after a hockey player.
All I can think is if I let Soren get close, I’ll walk away from this vacation with a double broken heart.
Hat Trick is a full-length M/M romance with a guaranteed HEA. This is the final book in the Fake Boyfriend series and as such is not recommended to be read as a standalone. All main characters of the series feature heavily.

Absolutely loved this book so much. We’ve seen Jet grow so much through this series and even more so in this book. Him and Siren have always had this pull between yhem and they just keep coming back to each other. Such a perfect ending to a series. Sad to see it end, but loved seeing them all together again.
Hat Trick is simply the sweetest love-story and an incredibly emotional goodbye to Eden Finley’s Fake Boyfriend universe. Finishing Hat Trick had me more than a little teary eyed knowing that there won’t be any more of these hilarious guys to get to know.
This story has so much going for it. It’s a second-chance romance, there’s the sexy rock-star meets hot athlete angle and there’s the age gap. The slight taboo of getting involved with a friend’s sibling doesn’t hurt either. And it’s all wrapped up in the hilarious comradery of a group of super competitive, and a bit immature, professional athletes that we’ve gotten to know in the previous four books.
For a Fake Boyfriend book, I’d say it’s one of the cutest in the series. Meaning there was very little angst and conflict. But I can honestly say I can’t be particularly objective when reviewing this read. I’m to emotionally invested, which I’m sure is the case for all of Finley’s fans now saying their goodbyes to the Fake Boyfriends. So I can just say that I loved Jet’s and Soren’s story. It’s a super charming romance and so funny with all the antics the gay brigade gets up to. It’s humour and love in the very best combination. And there’s also some very hot d*ck-action which is always a win.
The one thing that kept bugging me is Soren’s name. So, his name is Caleb Sorensen. But to a Swede it’s painfully clear that it should be Sörensen or Sørensen since it’s obviously a Scandinavian name. So every time I read Soren, I went back and forth between the two different pronunciations. First the English version, then the Swedish and then back to English. Every. Single. Time. That was a bit exhausting.
But even though Finley says this is the last book. I’m hoping she’ll change her mind. There are new characters in Hat Trick that deserve their own HEA, so I’m rooting for them and for Finley’s inspiration.

“Maybe I like standing here. Maybe I like, no, love, the way you look in my bed.”
“I want to kiss you, and touch you, and worship the goddamn ground you walk on.”
“Forever, is what you said
Forever love
Our epic flove.”
3 stars!
This book was different from the other books in the series and I really enjoyed it, but it could’ve been better. It’s a second chance romance between a Rock star and a hockey player.
It was a well-written story filled with lots of angst, self doubt, and an undeniable attraction between the characters.
I’m so happy I got to see Jet and Soren get their HEA. However, I have to admit that the start and the end of the story were a little slow for me, but it was an enjoyable book. I need to finish this series ASAP.

Overall 5 out of 5 stars
Performance 5 out of 5 stars
Story 5 out of 5 stars
Loved Jet and Soren’s story! I’ve wanted Jet to get his own book since meeting him in Matt’s and this was everything I could have wanted for him! And for Soren, too.
This was such an endearing story, I’m so happy these two found each other again and were able to work through the challenges they faced. I loved how good they were for each other.
I was worried that there’d be some big misunderstanding or miscommunication to derail things, but thankfully that wasn’t the case.
I also enjoyed getting to see all the other guys from the previous stories, what a wonderful group of friends. It almost felt like an extended epilogue in some ways, but Jet and Soren’s story was still the main focus.
This book left me happy smiling.
Hat Trick was my favorite book of the series, and it was also my favorite narration. Of course I’ve loved Iggy and Alexander throughout, but I think with Jet and Soren’s characters their performances were spot on! Another job well done.
Love this entire series but Jet and Soren are absolutely my favorite couple! I wish there were more books about the gay brigade and the families they have created. Truly an amazing series and one of my absolute favorites of the genre! Just read it already!

OMG “Flove” indeed!!
It took me a long time to finish this book because I didn’t want this series to end. I was so in love with all these characters and was sad that this was the last couple, with Jet who was one of my favs early on.
While I’m sad the series is finished I loved this book so much. I love Jet and his hopelessly Disney romantic heart. This book has everything, with epic connections, long coming second chances, awesome wit and humor, steamy hot chemistry and great characters you can’t help but love. I love Eden’s wit and humor and she did Jet proud!
Highly recommended series! LOVED it!!!

I think I made a mistake by reading this, the last book in the series, first! I guess I’m going to have to go back and read the whole lot now.
I don’t want to put any spoilers in here, so I’ll just say that I HEARTILY recommend this book. It’s sweet, angsty, FUNNY and very hot.
I couldn’t wait for Jets story and I got the best one yet! I love this series but I absolutely fell in love with Soren and Jet. These two characters were deeper than the rest and what a love story they gave us.
Highly recommended.
Awe! I have devoured this series and was so happy to see Jet and Soren get their HEA. This couples story was so worth the wait. I will admit that the start of the story was a little slow for me. Not in a bad way. Just in the way that I wanted to get right into the thick of the story. The ups and downs these two have were great to watch. I loved seeing all my favorites from this series and see them in their future. I won’t give anything away but the story was enjoyable and once we got into the thick of the story I was hooked. 4 stars #2OCCJD
I just finished this story and have to say that I loved the entire series. The characters are all people I’d enjoy spending time with, and did, even if the time was only in my head. The story lines were all unique enough to keep me enthralled and looking forward to the next one. There’s only one book left for me to read in this series, one which will update me on all the couples, and I’m putting off reading it because I don’t want it to end. I’ll probably only last a week before it ends up in my currently reading pile. Eden Finley’s Fake Boyfriend Series has made me a huge fan.
I fucking loved Jet and Soren. I would scream it from the rooftops.
This book is my second favourite in the series (sorry, nothing beats Talon and Miller). Jet and Soren are sooo perfect. I have no words to describe this book. Lots of angst with a well deserved HEA.
I really want to listen to the songs Jet wrote. Especially Someone Else’s Perfect. I’ve never been so sad that it’s not a real song.
We meet every couple from the previous books and I love their interactions. They are Jet’s chosen family and the vacation in Fiji is one of my favourite scenes.
Lots of snark and banter (it’s Jet, duh). I really felt bad for Harley. I wish he gets a book. I might have hated him in the beginning but he’s a really great guy.
Absolutely recommended!

Caleb “Soren” Sorenson is a NHL hockey player and one of the first to “come out”. He has recently split with his ex-boyfriend, Bryce, yet now finds himself the only single guy on a trip to Fiji with his close friends. He is struggling with what his future holds when his current team is not offering him the contract he wants. Now he just wants time to heal when one of his past hookups arrives on the island and he knows he made a mistake letting him go.
Jet Jackson is an up and coming rock star who is on tour with a boy band but finding himself under scrutiny and stressed out for being on tour the past three years. Now all he is wanting to do is heal from a recent break up and he finds himself face to face with another man who broke his heart.
Soren desperately wants another chance with Jet but he doesn’t know if he will give him a chance after an incident from the past. Plus it doesn’t help that Jet is the younger brother of one Soren’s close friends, Matt, who may not approve of anything between the two.
Can love win out when your mixing business and pleasure?
This is another awesome book in the series and I really don’t want this series to end!
We first meet Soren in Deke as he comes out to the press and is supported by Ollie Stromberg. Now we get a closer look at Soren and the fact that he has split with his former boyfriend Bryce and is finding himself again. I really like Soren as he was no longer hiding who he is and yet he still faced adversity because of it but tried to keep positive. Yet his age worried him and he really wondered how long he would have left in the NHL.
Jet was obviously hiding something when he arrived in Fiji and it takes him a long time to open up about what he was going thru. I liked finally finding out what was going on and it really didn’t surprise me with the way that certain prejudices remain and how the entertainment industry still wants some control and is more worried about public image over other things.
I knew something big happened in the past between Soren and Jet as the one night together was hot and intense! I was shocked at what happened in Tampa and I was definitely mad at Soren for what he did. I loved learning more about the songs and how that all came into play.
I was very happy that Soren was there for Jet on tour when he needed someone on his side and to help through it all. I crossed my fingers that they would be able to overcome everything from their past and knew that there would be some roadblocks with each of their pasts and hoped they could get through it all.
I felt bad for Jet with what the studio was making him do and the extra pressure that put him on him and Soren. Soren was struggling with his own game but luckily had the support of his teammate, Morgan, who really gave him the push he needed.
The end was awesome and I was super happy with how everything worked out!! I really want more in this series!!

Heartwarming, sweet, sexy, and chockablock with the famous Finley wit–I think this might be my favorite installment of this series.
Jet and Soren came from different worlds and there were many reasons they shouldn’t work. Yet every time their paths crossed, they were inexplicably drawn to one another–ages, careers, distance, and scary older brothers be damned. Their mutual heartbreak shredded me, their longing was tangible, their chemistry was sizzling, and their love story was like a slap shot directly in the feels. I loved every word of this book and every moment of this series!

This series just keeps getting better and better and I feel like I say this every time a new book in this series comes but it’s true! I’ve been so excited for Jet’s book ever since his character was introduced. He did not disappoint! And that beautiful man Soren.. I just wanted to give him all my love and hugs the whole book. Five stars as always!
After reading every single book in this series, I had a feeling that Jet and Soren’s book was gonna be my favorite. I have been looking forward to Jet’s story ever since he was introduced and I can gladly say that I was right… It was awesome !!!
It became clear pretty fast that Jet and Soren have been keeping some pretty naughty secrets from everyone else. Flashbacks of a sexy rendezvous show us how well Jet and Soren really know each other !!
So when these two meet up again on a Fiji getaway with family and friends…things do get a bit awkward. They also get quite hilarious and hot…The sexual tension could be cut with a knife !!
Both men just got out of a crappy relationship and they were both in desperate need of some tender loving. Thankfully this is what they found with one another. But we all know the road to true love isn’t always easy. Plenty of bumps along the way…but when it’s real it’s real and true love always conquers all !!
With this awesome book, we have come to the end of an amazing series. I am so curious to see what will be next from Eden. Whatever it is, I will definitely give it a go…
Highly recommended !!!

Hot and sweet and just about perfect, a lovely (almost) conclusion for the series
Book 5 in the Fake Boyfriends series, I’ve loved these books since stumbling across this author the first time with Fake Out, Maddox and Damon’s story, and the first book of the series. Charismatic rock star that he is, Jet has had me intrigued since we met him and Soren in books two and three, respectively, so while I’m sad the series is coming to end, I happy to finally be getting Jet’s story (note they aren’t fake boyfriends here, it’s more of a second chances, friend’s little brother story). All the main couples have roles here (some from the short stories are missing) which should please series fans; readers who are new to the series should really go back and read the earlier books first.
This author always does a great job of making you feel for her characters, so it wasn’t long before my heart was hurting for both Jet and Soren, as they were both coming out of broken relationships. I was hopeful too, as there was so much connection and chemistry between them, even if there were still obstacles standing in their way, and I loved getting to see the caring person behind Jet’s outgoing—and sometimes outrageous—persona. As usual with this author there was a lot of humor to balance out the heavier emotions; I particularly loved the ice hockey scene for so many reasons—not only was it funny to see the competitiveness (and the non hockey guys trying to skate), Soren teaching and taking care of Jet was both sweet and touching. I also loved how they each understood the draw of a career that had on the other’s heart, and were each able to bring out the joy in the other.
As for secondary characters, besides getting to touch base with the guys from the earlier books, there are a few new ones including Jet’s manager, Luce, and the ex, Harley. The author does a great job of making these guys just as real and interesting as the rest of the crew when they could easily have been two dimensional stereotypes—I felt bad for Harley even while I wanted to hate him a little bit.
Hot and sweet and just about perfect, this is a lovely (almost) conclusion for the series—happily, there is still one more book in the works with epilogues for the various couples *cue happy dance. 5+ stars

Finally!!
I’ve been waiting years for Jet and Soren’s book. Ok, ok, not even a full year because I read the rest of the series earlier in the year. But it felt like years because I wanted their story SO bad. And I knew it would end up being my favorite. Sorry Matt and Noah, you’ve been demoted to second place.
I was thinking about the many reasons I loved this book so much. One of the biggest is that Jet popped into the series early in book two. He had a certain spark to him, such light, energy, sass and fizziness. I got to know him through the books and so I was rooting for him early. Then I saw his early connection with Soren and began to root for them as a couple. So their story started before their actual book began. And that made their happily ever after all the better.
Put simply, I’ve loved all books in the, “Fake Boyfriend,” series but I LOVED this one. It was full of sweetness, snark and steam. Basically the three things that make the perfect feel good romance. I’m so going to miss all of these guys. We have one more bonus book coming in a few weeks but I don’t think I’ll be ready to say goodbye.
