I never thought my perp walk would lead to true love. Then again, I never thought I’d be arrested on RICO charges and hauled away in zip ties on camera for the world to see, minutes after closing the most amazing deal of my career. And all of it in front of my biggest rival, billionaire wunderkind Ian McCrory.I am broke.I am disgraced.I am alone.I am a sucker. But the worst part? I have to go back … am a sucker.
But the worst part? I have to go back to my hometown and live in my bedroom filled with relics from my childhood.
Lisa Frank never made me so mad before.
Just when I needed a rescue, I got one — in the form of help from my biggest rival.
He can’t bring back my money.
He certainly can’t bring back my reputation or my pride.
But there’s one thing he can bring back to me.
A sense of hope.
Maybe even love.
Ian sees something in me no one else does, and he’s relentless about making me see it, too. As we grow closer, I’m starting to see that while my entire life used to be a lie, the truth is staring me in the present — and it’s a truth I like very, very much, hot eyes and gorgeous smile and all.
But I have to be careful.
I can’t be too —
That’s right.
Hasty.
The final book in the USA Today bestselling Do-Over Series (Fluffy, Perky, Feisty), as Mallory’s sister, Hastings “Hasty” Monahan gets her turn at a happily ever after that starts off with an arrest.
Hers.
And ends with a surprisingly cheesy happily ever after.

Hilarious enemies to friends rom com
If you haven’t read this series, you need to. It’s not like anything else out there in romance-land–in the very best of ways. Laugh-out-loud funny. Hit you in the feels serious. Everything you want from a romance right now.
Hasty was the perfect antidote to 2020 u2060— utterly adorable and deliciously satisfying.
A scorching enemies-to-lovers romance that will leave you begging for more!
When I pick up a Julia Kent book, I know I’m going to enjoy it like I enjoy fine, eight-month aged manchego cheese or a brilliantly executed Hasty pudding.
Her newest book, Hasty, is the capstone for the Do-Over series, a lovely series of second-chance romances where four friends have a chance to do over their life mistakes and do the guys who got away. Hastings “Hasty” Monahan has soared the highest by her own standards, which means she has the farthest to fall, and fall she does.
Hasty is that character who you love to hate in the beginning, and then she works so hard and does so much that you have to love her by the end and you’re so glad you went along for the ride. The ending is like fine cheese: robust, pleasantly salty, with sharp and witty notes, amusing on the palate, and entirely delicious.
The series that started with Little Miss Perfect has ended with four perfect love stories.
5 Finding-your-Better-Self Stars
This was a Lovely combination of Deep, Funny, Thrilling & Hope! Hasty was such a bitch in previous books, I was eager to see her downfall *Evil laugh* Her personality development throughout the story, made me fall in love with her! Ian’s so..WOW! PERFECT FOR HER I DEVOURED this story in a few hours
“Ian McRory is a walking clinché. He’s hot. He’s Rich. He’s Smart. He’s Charming.
And he’s alpha to the Core.”-Hastings
I hate Burke! Due to his illegal Frauds, She lost her all, everything Seized. Now she founds she wasn’t his legal wife.. *Ouch!*
When she came back home (a month after) it was a whirlwind of pity, anger, bitchiness, sobs (+ Mall’s Wedding Preparation!).. she saw her life through new eyes, analysing all the hollowness in it… Finally talking feelings with her family! *Apologies* It’s Beautiful
In the time of need, Ian helped her..now pursuing her to take his Job. Not pity. She’s THAT good! (she takes it, after much thought, to prove herself..) They have been enemies for years, the Sexual Tension ever so present. No one crossed the line then..But Now, they’ve got the chance! *HOT!*
Things were soo progressing! But then he has to go to Australia for 4 months (Immediately after the wedding).. Is it the end? No, a Milestone. Cue messaging+FaceTime.
The Real thing is always better, so when he comes back 3months later *Early!* Their Reunion Is sexy, hot and soo them!
But then Burke’s Call came, Revealing a Secret.
Will he be Caught? OR Succeed?
Btw, Why was Ian in the Restaurant at the time When Hasty was caught?
Sometimes easy’s so underrated. But Sometimes you have to take the hard way. For love. Take risks. Why? ‘Cause It’s worth it. Always.
Loved these:
We see a lot of the parents, Will & Mall, all the gang. I was pleasantly surprised! Bickering, emotional talk (Hot-spring-Gathering!) It was surreal. We find the real reason of her being bitchy to Mall. I’m so happy for them, Their relation is realigning. Hasty’s forming a friendship with Mallory, Perky, Fiona!
Ian’s determination is hot! Messages, cafe visits. Through cow-birthing-scene (omg!), the DANCE! Studio I.e. Her app-Date disaster, Bachelorette party, The wedding. their feelings growing..
Everything related to the wedding was gorgeous, Hilarious too *Snicker* Expected! I’m so happy for Mall+Will
We see Hasty’s Friends! (Eric’s great!) She’s got a hobby too, Cheese making! It becomes a passionate business for her, Alongside her job For Ian. I understand Her ambition..This is what makes her.
The ending was great(Burke got what he deserves, that bastard!)
The epilogue was phenomenal His proposal was swoony!
This series has been a saga of Friendship, Hope, Scandals *Chuckle*, Love, Fun, Feelings.. Hasty’s story was a fantastic way to end it! Everyone-Especially our gang-Will have a Special place in my heart

Go get it!
Another sexy, funny, brilliant read from Julia Kent!
I love how her stories are jam-packed with sweet, funny, of-the-moment hilarity. And sexy fun too. The perfect comfort read!
Oh, Julia Kent! You and your romantic comedies! Readers are loving Hasty, the final book in the Do Over Series.
NEW! The latest enemies-to-lovers rom-com from Julia Kent is here. Pick up Hasty, a “hilarious” redemption story, on your favorite retailer.
I always love getting to see behind the curtain of prickly characters at what makes them who they are. This one is a fabulous enemies to lovers tale that’s going to leave you craving cheese. Like literal cheese. The shero makes manchego and now I really need some fancy mac n cheese… Two thumbs up!
From the very first page of Hasty, I knew I was in for a ride. I felt as if I were seeped into the character’s lives, feeling second-hand embarrassment and frustration as their paths crossed. I adored this book and I cannot wait to dive into another Julia Kent romance!
Another winner from the Queen of Second Chance Romance! Loved this one. Devoured it in one sitting.
I have loved all four books in the Do-Over series, but I’m pretty sure Julia Kent saved the best for last. What little I saw of Hastings in the earlier books didn’t exactly inspire any warm feelings, but no one deserves the blow she’s dealt. Of course, when help comes in the form of Ian McRory, I’m pretty sure Hastings is more stubborn than the average woman. I’ll stop there so I don’t spoil it because this one has a lot going on and it definitely deserves to be read spoiler-free. Suffice it to say that this last Do-Over book is everything I’ve come to expect from Julia Kent and then some. The story is fast-paced, the characters are engaging, the chemistry is off the charts, and the wit is brilliant! This one is a terrific combination of emotional and hilarious, and it all comes together for a romance that is impossible to put down.
I had no idea I would enjoy this book so much! To me, Hasty was just a filler character. I don’t enjoy people who forget where they came from. But, by the middle-ish of the book, I could see Hasty was going to be one of my favorite characters. Sometimes people have to hit rock bottom to climb back up and rebuild themselves. Hasty certainly did that. Of course, the talented Julia Kent wrote this with plenty of crazy ( in a good way) dialogue, hilarious situations, and a handsome billionaire to the rescue. Also, everyone needs an Eric in their life! I know this is the end of the series, but I would absolutely read more!
I am so in love with this book! This, I believe, is the last in this incredible series, which is such a shame. However, it couldn’t have ended on a better note. This story is a testament to the old adage about not knowing someone until you walk a mile in their shoes. The character of Hastings Monahan—Hasty to those who love her… or just love to annoy her—is a prime example of this. Everyone thought they knew her, but you can’t always judge someone’s heart by the image they portray to the world. This book showed us that there is so much more to this character than what’s on the surface. This story is one of growth and self acceptance for Hasty. It’s also an absolutely beautiful love story, and illustrates how life changing it can be when someone really sees you and loves you for it. This story and these characters are masterfully and artfully brought to life by Julia Kent. And if you can read this story without it warming your heart and bringing a smile to your face, you might want to check your pulse because you’ve either got a heart of stone or you’re dead.
* I was given an ARC of this book and voluntarily chose to review. All of my opinions are honest and entirely my own.
Omg i loved it!!
Hasty is the final book in the Do-Over series… and man, did i ever feel bad for the predicament that Hastings was put in!!! Her “was-band” was a world class a$$hat and con man extraordinaire. On top of those delightful characteristics, he pointed all the evidence of his con on Hastings. Now broke, humiliated, and no longer married (she was just 1 of 5 of his wives!), Hasty moves back in with her parents in MA, and tries to recreate a new life… except no one will hire her now… except for Ian, her biggest rival.
Things start heating up with them, and Hasty rediscovers her love of making goat milk cheese, and demand goes thru the roof!!
Everything is starting to look up for Hasty until her was-band calls her on the run asking for money. And she discovers that she’s been conned again… this time by Ian!
I loved how this series ended!! I love all of Julia Kent’s work and this was no exception. Great story line, hilarious, and a HEA!! I definitely recommend this series!!
I recieved an ARC for my honest review.
I LOVED this story! My new favorite in this series. Fun and funny, but with an emotional core to this book that had me hanging on to every word.
“I have to emotionally extradite Burke from my heart, my habits, my psyche. I have to take the holes left over from the pieces I gave him and fill them with something else.”
Hasty is a standalone story but after reading the other books in this series, I’ve met Hastings Monahan. I had some preconceived notions about her which were completely blown out the window. I completely fell for Hasty.
“Cheesy declarations of emotion aren’t going to work. Neither is some grand gesture, or a kiss that knocks my socks off, Ian. You lied. I feel conned.”
Ian has his work cut out for him to get past Hasty’s walls. I love that he was so caring and sure of Hasty even when she wasn’t sure of herself.
-5 Stars!-
Julia Kent clearly scours the planet for the most outrageous scenarios to generate big laughs in her brilliant romantic comedies. HASTY is the hilarious conclusion to the four-pack of standalone rom coms that will keep you in stitches. From sticking her arm up a cow while birthing a calf to constantly crashing into her hot, hunky business rival when she’s at her worst, you’ll root for Hastings and Ian all the way from the zip ties to the HEA.
4-4.5 Stars
Julia Kent delivers another laugh out loud story for us to devour.
I have to be honest, Hastings is not a very lovable character. I was definitely intrigued with her and how Kent would make me like her. It took me awhile to discover her redeeming qualities but they’re there, I promise. She is who she is and it takes us a little bit to get a deeper look but once we do, there’s an understanding. As she grew, my feelings about her grew too.
The story pulled me in with this one. Hastings’ life was a complete and utter mess. I had to know how things would improve for her and was pleasantly surprised with the direction her journey took. Then add in the romance, Ian was a great character and the chemistry between the two was evident. The relationship was a slow burn. I liked that aspect, I found it fitting to the character and to the story. The tension it created was scrumptious!!
I absolutely loved this series and the fact that it’s set in Massachusetts, where I’m from, makes it even more fun!!
