“Turning the envelope over, his hand trembling, Harry saw a purple wax seal bearing a coat of arms; a lion, an eagle, a badger and a snake surrounding a large letter ‘H’.”
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his … confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry’s eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

An amazing book and series!
Love everything about the books.
Not just adults, but boys will even find this entertaining
Who still needs to be convinced to read Harry Potter?!?
I loved all of these books and have read them several times.
Who doesn’t like a Harry Potter book?!
A wonderfully visual world is created in which enduring friendships and serious enemies are made all while great adventures are had. I found some of the most popular characters surprisingly annoying, but I read as an adult…not as a child. I had a difficult time pulling myself out of the Harry Potter Universe!
Love this book and each one after it!
Don’t see what all the hype was about
I loved this entire series.
The best series I ever read. All my nieces, nephews loved them, and now starting my grandkids.
Loved the whole series!
Start of a truly classic series.
Great book for kids and adults. Just as enjoyable the second or third times you’ve read it.
If you have a reluctant reader, put this in their hands. They will fall in love.
One of the best books ever !!!!
I adore this book!
It’s a Harry Potter book. What’s not to like?
Well written and AMAZING
Such a great story for kids, teens, and adults. All of books in the series encourage reader to do what’s right in the face of adversity, be brave, stand up for what you believe is right, stand up for the weak or downtrodden, be kind to those different than you.
