“‘Welcome to the Knight Bus, emergency transport for the stranded witch or wizard. Just stick out your wand hand, step on board and we can take you anywhere you want to go.’”
When the Knight Bus crashes through the darkness and screeches to a halt in front of him, it’s the start of another far from ordinary year at Hogwarts for Harry Potter. Sirius Black, escaped mass-murderer and follower of … and follower of Lord Voldemort, is on the run – and they say he is coming after Harry. In his first ever Divination class, Professor Trelawney sees an omen of death in Harry’s tea leaves … But perhaps most terrifying of all are the Dementors patrolling the school grounds, with their soul-sucking kiss …

The whole harry potter series is good! They are so unexpected in a good way and you never want to put it down. They way it is written is like you are in the book! Definitely try it out
I loved this book; the story was informative on some characters. This actually became my favorite Harry Potter movie, but this is another review. I’d recommend this book but only if you have read the previous book otherwise you’d be lost. A fabulous series.
Absolutely fantastic!!!! Have fallen in love with these characters, especially Prof. Snape!!!!
This was probably the 9th time I’ve read this particular book, so this review is LONG over due! But this time I read it to my kids, and it was almost like reading it for the first time again! I enjoyed comparing the book with the movie version (of which they’d seen time and time again) and introducing new parts that weren’t included in the movie. …
This book is where we start to see Harry and Company start to grow up. This book and the movie based on it are starting to be geared to an older reader ie High School.
The Harry Potter books are amazing. I can’t say enough about them! Great for all ages! Underdogs, and people who like a fairytale with twists and magic love this read! This is the first book in the series I would say is a bit “darker”, and readers should be a little mature. Not because of adult scenes, but more because of the scariness with …
So my kids and I have been rewatching the Harry Potter movies, which are inspiring me to want to reread the books, as well. And it was probably after reading this one that I was completely hooked. I wished every Harry Potter book after this one (and including this one) was twice as long. As hefty as some of them are, I still would have read …
I like this because it is twisted and it is kind of hard to guess what is going to happen! The only thing that was not that good is that after you read the books and then watch the movies, you realize that they changed a lot of events AND that they leave out a lot of important events.
Wonderful
This was my favorite so far. Definitely seeing a pattern emerge in the way each year progresses. And of course, the characters getting more endearing each year.
The only thing I can add about this book now is its writing. I read it when I was 15yo, and I read it like a maniac. I read it again when I was 22yo, just to check if I was over-hyped about it because I was a child (as some of my friends were saying).
Nope, it seemed, I was still a child at 22, considering I enjoyed it even then. Now my friends …
By far one of my favorite books from the saga! I love the introduction of the Marauders and the plot twist at the end.
The more I read/listen to this series the more I love it. I love that there is so much creativity and tons of small details you would never think about that make the book so immersive. Jim Dale’s amazing narration for the audiobook brings it to life and more of an experience than just someone reading a book to you. The amount of thought that has …
You should try it 🙂
I solemnly swear that I am up to no good….
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban has been my favorite Harry Potter Film since it first came out and so far, it is my favorite book. Not sure if it is because of Sirius Black (which YES!!), Buckbeak, Hermione finally coming out of her shell, the time turner or just because it is that good. …
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling – This is my favorite book in the series! Hermione is the undisputed hero. But you begin to see that Dumbledore really is an INTJ Mastermind playing the long game. Happy Reading!
easy to read
this book is a great book for anyone who loves adventure, mystery and I feel it’s a good book (make sure you have read the 1st and 2nd book before this one
Who needs one more Harry Potter review? Oh well, here goes: I read the Harry Potter series long after I watched the movies. I am going to say what most people have said, and that is the books are so much better than the movie. When an author can make you get excited, angry or cry… they have done their job. Well done.
The third installment of Harry’s life at Hogwarts was quite thrilling and kept the flame alive in my mind. The characters show steady development and I love how Rowling never leaves loose ends. Her mention of Black in the Philosopher’s Stone ties in well with this book and answers many questions I had while reading the first book. (Rereading after …
