“‘You are sharing the Dark Lord’s thoughts and emotions. The Headmaster thinks it inadvisable for this to continue. He wishes me to teach you how to close your mind to the Dark Lord.’”
Dark times have come to Hogwarts. After the Dementors’ attack on his cousin Dudley, Harry Potter knows that Voldemort will stop at nothing to find him. There are many who deny the Dark Lord’s return, but Harry is … return, but Harry is not alone: a secret order gathers at Grimmauld Place to fight against the Dark forces. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix…well once again, I’ve read it countless times. It is very difficult to write a review for a book you know basically by heart. What do I write my review on: the first time I read it? The most inspirational time I read it? The time I finally understood the characters motivations for their actions? Or the …
This, in my opinion, is the best Harry Potter Book. Things are starting to get serious but Harry is finally getting in contact with a long lost family friend who happened to be accused of murdering his parents by leaking their location to Lord Voldermort. The trio and their peers form a rebellious group to fight against one of the most hated …
Another year older and even darker than the Goblet of Fire, this book continues to story of the boy who lived. The Dark Lord is back, but the Ministry of Magic refuses to accept it. Not only do they set up a professor in the school to monitor and enforce Ministry law, they also take every chance possible, using their newspaper to defame and …
One of the best books ever.
Question of the week once again asked for a book I read in one sitting – as with my earlier mention (Harry Potter 4), I once found myself completely caught up in Harry’s world in Book 5… I know a lot of people have come to disparage the series in more recent time, but I still believe the books were a really amazing development when they came …
Everyone should read this page turner.
I thought it brought out the best reader in me.
Ah! They just keep getting better and better!
I seemed to recall liking “The Goblet of Fire” the best, but on this read-through, I had to say that “Order of the Phoenix” was better. My first impression of this one had been that Harry was a moody teenager, but in this read-through I felt I couldn’t really fault him–he wasn’t being moody for no …
4 out of 5 stars for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the 5th book in the original 7 book “Harry Potter” young adult fantasy series published in 2003 by J.K. Rowling. I cannot believe this is over 15 years old, as I think about what I want to put in my review. Given it’s HP, and everyone does review on it, I’m keeping it short. A few …
All the Harry Potter books are the best books in the world!!! The thing that I wish is that i could meet J.K Rowling and all the cast and go see the real castle like where they shot Harry Potter!!! That could be my birthday gift and my Christmas gift for 3 years put together and that would be the best thing in my life!!!
Amazing
Once again I have found myself completely absorbed, hanging on Jim Dales every word, telling my son to stop pestering me so I can hear my book. I can get totally lost in his narration and the world of Harry Potter for hours.
I really enjoyed this one and I’m glad I have chosen to listen to the series because I think Dale adds more to the magic …
Ever since I started my journey reading the Harry Potter books I have noticed that things are quite different compared to the movies but Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is by far the most different. We really got to see the way Harry struggled with being left out all summer, from his ever-growing relationship with Sirius and so much more …
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling – I’m gonna argue that this monster of a book is a test of endurance! It was the hardest one to make it through because there was an air of foreboding and inevitable doom through the whole thing! It’s got some really lovely moments too, but there was a lot of heavy to carry in this one!
I love all the Harry Potter books. The Order of the Phoenix is probably my least favorite of all the books. However, it is a very essential read in the series. There is a definite shift in the characters attitudes and emotions. This book has more anger and is darker. This is the first book that I have completely not liked a character but the …
I love that with each book the characters seem more and more realistic. Rowling did a fantastic job in making even the most minor characters seem believable. Plenty of character growth.
I like how she throws in a dash of moral building in with Harry’s ability to not accept lies told.
His resilience despite the challenges he faces is quite …
I think it looks right into my soul.whenever I read the book it gets me a chill up my spine and down again.
I like the interesting adventures – which happen at Hogwarts – and how they are dealt with.
As always the book is better than the movie.
Just love it
