Every single person on this planet should give the Harry potter series a chance. I don’t believe I will ever love so many fictitious characters as much as I love the ones throughout the series, they are absolutely family to me by the end. So many laughs and tears!!
It was super good. I would recommend all the Harry Potter books.
The 2nd book in the Harry Potter series, this is still ostensibly a children’s book. A very fun, well written plot that gives you more of a glimpse into the Dark Lord. This maybe a children’s book, but I’m in my 50’s and am enjoying reading these books very much. The story is well conceived and the characters are nicely developed. Anyone can get …
It was a really super-duper good book and I think it should be recommended for everybody. I haven’t read the whole book but I watched it and it was good.
Another glorious Harry Potter story! Five stars!
Aragog, the basilisk: each monster has a backstory and a unique voice. The secret forest with the gathering of giant spiders: wow! You can’t write a more thrilling scene of adventure.
Tom Riddle’s diary and Moaning Myrtle: J. K. Rowling builds a mystery plot from clues like Agatha Christie. The …
The FreeForm cable network aired all the Harry Potter movies this weekend and it prompted me to pick up all the books on my shelves and read a few pages again. I opened to the scene where Harry starts speaking parseltongue and was instantly brought back into this amazing world. I loved this series when I read it nearly ten years ago and I’m …
What can I say, if you live on planet Earth and haven’t heard of Harry Potter, you haven’t lived. This first book in the series introduces us to the delightful, not so happy characters of the wizarding world of Hogwarts. We learn of muggles, wands and dark magic and Harry learns he’s a wizard.
Go read it, get out of the dark ages and enjoy! 🙂
*have read this book no less than 8 times…this time I read it to my three kids*
I love all of the Harry Potter books. In this book we get to learn a bit more about Ginny and what Voldemort was like when he was at school at Hogwarts. Harry saves the day again of course, but we also know that Voldemort likely has more tricks up his sleeve. We …
