Once Upon a Christmas>Is it ever too late for happily ever after…?Callahan is one of the hottest guys to move into Harper’s Corner in a long time, partly because he’s also a complete mystery. He keeps to … because he’s also a complete mystery.
He keeps to himself and leads a quiet life, rumors swirl around that he used to be in the military…but no one knows where he came from, or what brought him to their small town.
When Stevie’s parents have a health crisis, she’s forced to take leave from her very New York existence: including a high-powered job at a big publishing house and explosive sex life with her wealthy, handsome and appropriately pretentious boyfriend, to step in and ensure the preservation of the family’s longstanding bookstore.
With the first order of business being to fire Callahan, the unqualified shop assistant her dad hired.
Though as many women from Harper’s Corner can tell you, things change when you come back home.
So firing this attractive, brooding, secretive man turns out to be much harder than she originally planned…
And when his past comes back to challenge him, he can’t keep hiding from what happened.
A Nanny for Christmas
Willa O’Rourke knows the true story, the story that doesn’t sell magazines.
In less than 8 hours Willa went from being a behind-the-scenes nanny for one of the hottest A-list celebrity couples, to having her picture splashed all over every magazine in the country.
Caught in the arms of her sexy employer, Johnny Blaze.
No one cares that Johnny hit on her, and she repeatedly told him no.
The world thinks Willa O’Rourke is more interesting as the slutty, home-wrecking, opportunistic nanny. She even has a hashtag trending on Twitter. #dirtynanny
Humiliated and desperate to get away from the harsh eyes of Hollywood, she decides to take a short break from her suddenly not so glamorous life and head home for the holidays.
But a quiet Christmas to recoup before heading back to LA wasn’t in the cards.
She immediately runs into Jack, her seriously hot, fireman ex-boyfriend.
Despite Willa’s attempts to keep a low profile, she and Jack are thrown together for a Christmas charity project — making her wonder if she’s meant for a simpler life in Harper’s Corner after all.
My One and Only
Five Years Ago She Was Left at the Altar
Five years later…Jessica Monroe has moved on with her life in Harper’s Corner, and her fabulously successful bridal business. She has her friends, and her comfortable life in one of America’s most beautiful small towns. What more could a girl possibly want?
Matthew Larson is roguishly handsome and happily enlisted in the Army. He lives for two things: serving his country and Jessica Monroe. He’s loved her for years, long before she was engaged to his arrogant and self-absorbed brother Will.
When Will left her at the altar, Matt was there to comfort her, as much as an almost brother-in-law was allowed, before he deployed to Afghanistan.
They were almost family so Jessica kept in touch, but little did she know how hungrily Matt would read each email. She was his escape from the horrors of war and a reminder of a simpler life that awaited him back in Harper’s Corner.
When Matt finally returns Jessica is taken aback by a rush of emotions – suddenly faced with the reality that she nearly married the wrong brother.

Mixed Feelings
I have mixed feelings about the books in this set. While I mostly liked the characters (though a few annoyed me at times!), I wasn’t wild about the profanity and crude words sometimes used in the books. I don’t like them in books in general, but I especially dislike them in holiday books. To me, it feels disrespectful to the reason for the season. I also thought there were issues with language, including wrong and missing words as well as issues with grammar, punctuation, and usage. I did receive a PDF ARC copy, but from what I could see in the preview, these persisted in the published book. The books certainly needed a copyeditor or proofreader. The author also engaged in too much head-hopping; sometimes the viewpoint character switched very quickly, causing confusion about who was “talking.” I like the small-town aspect of the books, but I felt like they lacked that holiday sparkle that really makes a Christmas book come alive. They felt more like standard romances that simply happened to take place at Christmas.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
Harper’s Corner Holiday Series Books 1-3 the stories are Once Upon a Christmas, A Nanny for Christmas, My One and Only. A set of three great Christmas stories that I have wanted to read for awhile now. I would recommend this set. I received a copy of this book via Hidden Gems and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Dreamy Army Officer, Dreamy Firefighter, Dreamy former Military cowboy
All the of the characters in each of the books in Harper’s Corner (Books 1-3) by Christina George are wonderful, well rounded and unique. I especially appreciate the heroes. Each of them dreamy alphas in their own right and I am absolutely a sucker for military men and men who serve their community. Matt, Jack and Callahan have a space in my heart! The women in each of these stories are also very interesting and I appreciate their conflicts, then how they overcome (usually themselves) and find what they really want and need.
My One and Only is a delightful read! Matt is a super dreamy Army officer and totally alpha in a very appealing way. I really loved how the author brought these two together, taking them from friends to lovers. Despite Jess’s insecurity and fear, Matt persists, Jess has her ah-ha moment just in the nick of time for a wonderful HEA.
A Nanny for Christmas
Now this is a Christmas romance! The second chance adds another magical element to this time of the year for a romance. I absolutely loved how Jack and Willa begin to spend time together in the spirit of season for those less fortunate and from there, their emotional connection and love that had never ceased is brought to life again. Their story truly touched the heart of the Christmas season and is all the more wonderful with their HEA.
I so enjoyed reading Once Upon a Christmas. All the characters were very well developed and engaging, their interactions also very entertaining.
Loved reading the story of Callahan and Stevie, finding their way to one another and finally their HEA.
I read an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.
