Cute book for light reading.
Looking forward to next book and how they manage living together . Each lady is carrying a lot of baggage.
Easy enjoyable read.
This book was very different from the types of books I normally read. It was an interesting concept, but a little odd. It’s set in Canada, so the language was a little unusual. Some of the characters were underdeveloped as well.
I enjoyed this updated version of the Golden Girls. It is not a new thing that people band together to survive getting old. But this story gave us deeper version of the ladies we watched on tv for so long.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book – characters were solid, but quirky. Since I am of this ‘age’ I was intrigued by the concept of 6 women sharing a home and all the planning that went into this episode. Excited to get the next in the series by Ruth Hay.
This is my first book by Ruth Hays, and I am just bursting to recommend it! I was Not expecting it to be the kind of story it was, and I had not gone many pages before I sat back and said to myself, OMG, This is the kind of book I have been looking for! I could almost be one of these characters! I Know women like this, or have known many over the years! When I added the word, Inspirational to my review, I didn’t mean it in a religious, biblical way, but, that, after reading, I felt inspired to feel better about myself, and felt more encouraged than I have in a good while. I love your style of writing Ruth Hays, and hope to read many more books you have written! I would add Encouraging to the list of what I liked about this book!
