This story is another book in the continuing Oculus Series. Roan is Drake Conway’s grandson, third generation wired with paranormal talents due to the DNA altering experiments carried out in secret by Oculus years ago. The Conway family have been in hiding from them for years, working quietly in secret to destroy them before they can release their super soldiers on the world. Kimberley has been alone since her mother was kidnapped when she was four years old. It was not long after the two of them met that Roan discovered that Kimberley was an unknown talent courtesy of her mothers altered DNA and was as attracted to him as he was to her. I loved the first books in this series and loved this next generation’s story beginning. Their story will no doubt continue in the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and have voluntarily reading and honestly reviewed this book.
This is the second book in a series, and although I liked it, I still feel like I am thrown into a story with too little information even though I read the first book. I am left with a lot of questions and though I liked the story and the developed bond between the two main caracters, I just feel like something is missing. This story should have been longer with more information! I am sure more books are comming, and hopefully when the series is done all the questions will be answered!

He’s looking for answers… has he found what he’s looking for?
He’s found something alright – and he’s not gonna believe what or who he’s found.
I enjoyed this book. The way that Roan is still haunted by his past and how he tries to deal with the fact that his mother is terrified of him. And I loved the way that Kimberley is trying so hard to get answers out of him without giving anything away is so funny – she doesn’t know that others exist.
Can they find the answers their looking for? Not without help that’s for sure.
I enjoyed reading this book. It kept me guessing and enthralled all the way through.
