Janet Evanovich’s #1 New York Times bestselling sensation Stephanie Plum returns in her twenty-fourth thriller as mutilated corpses litter the streets of New Jersey… Trouble comes in bunches for Stephanie Plum. First, professional grave robber and semi-professional loon, Simon Diggery, won’t let her take him in until she agrees to care for his boa constrictor, Ethel. Stephanie’s main … Stephanie’s main qualification for babysitting an extremely large snake is that she owns a stun gun—whether that’s for use on the wandering serpent or the petrified neighbors remains to be seen.
Events take a dark turn when headless bodies start appearing across town. At first, it’s just corpses from a funeral home and the morgue that have had the heads removed. But when a homeless man is murdered and dumped behind a church Stephanie knows that she’s the only one with a prayer of catching this killer.
If all that’s not enough, Diesel’s back in town. The 6-foot-tall, blonde-haired hunk is a man who accepts no limits—that includes locked doors, closed windows and underwear. Trenton’s hottest cop, Joe Morelli isn’t pleased at this unexpected arrival nor is Ranger, the high-powered security consultant who has his own plans for Stephanie.
As usual Jersey’s favorite bounty hunter is stuck in the middle with more questions than answers. What’s the deal with Grandma Mazur’s latest online paramour? Who is behind the startling epidemic of mutilated corpses? And is the enigmatic Diesel’s sudden appearance a coincidence or the cause of recent deadly events?

This entire series has made me laugh out loud. I look forward to 25.
Janet Evanovich never disappoints! I love her Stephanie Plum novels. In particular I like her grandmother’s character. You will love this book!
I liked the book. It was funny and held my attention. It’s great when you want a quick read.
Love her books
This is a typical Plum book. All the usual characters, plus the addition of the quirky Plum nemesis’. A light, entertaining read that is a break from deep, thoughtful novels and nonfiction. Enjoyed!
Like all of her books the fun is being back in her world full of nutty characters and situations. Stephanie Plum always manages to come out ahead with the help of Lula, Ranger, Joe, Gramma Mazur and all the other wacky characters. Usually laugh out loud funny and worth the read.
It’s good to occasionally read a book that makes you laugh out loud!
Up to her usual shenanigans and always funny.
As always she never fails to entertain. She’s one of my favorite authors.
I always love Stephanie Plum!
Mind candy , predictable , but not as good as some other from Stephanie plum series, some of the stuff needs to be updated, jokes and sex has gotten boring
Laughed out loud. Good story. Well written
She is my absolute favorite writer! I love all her books, especially the Plum series. I’m in love with all the characters in the Plum series, especially Lula, without her Stephanie life just may be boring. Lol
I have read all the books in this series. Can not get enough of Stephanie Plum and her antics.
Fun book. I’m not sure why there are so many criticizing this book…yeah, there are zombies, but with a unexpected twist that made it fun. I’ll admit I didn’t laugh out loud as I have in previous books but still enjoyed it. And I am no zombie fan! Also…why gripe about no character development…this is book 24! Fully developed….like old friends. Definitely recommend
Like all of her novels, this book is a fun read. The characters that you have grown to love are still going strong. While the predicaments are all totally whacky, the writing is clever. I will read every book that she writes in the series.
Love this series. Great characters
Love this author! I’ve read all of the Stephanie Plum books.
Relating to Stephanie Plum should never be easy but to me she is one of my favorite characters. After all she is half Hungarian, lives in Central New Jersey, hangs out with a former ho Lula, and has at least two somethings three men in her life? What could possibly go wrong, especially when Grandma Mazur gets involved. You know all the characters, you know the story is going to be laugh out loud funny, it never seems to get old!
Love, love love this series and author. One of my all time favourites.
