Janet Evanovich’s #1 New York Times bestselling sensation Stephanie Plum returns in her twenty-fourth thriller as mutilated corpses litter the streets of New Jersey… Trouble comes in bunches for Stephanie Plum. First, professional grave robber and semi-professional loon, Simon Diggery, won’t let her take him in until she agrees to care for his boa constrictor, Ethel. Stephanie’s main … Stephanie’s main qualification for babysitting an extremely large snake is that she owns a stun gun—whether that’s for use on the wandering serpent or the petrified neighbors remains to be seen.
Events take a dark turn when headless bodies start appearing across town. At first, it’s just corpses from a funeral home and the morgue that have had the heads removed. But when a homeless man is murdered and dumped behind a church Stephanie knows that she’s the only one with a prayer of catching this killer.
If all that’s not enough, Diesel’s back in town. The 6-foot-tall, blonde-haired hunk is a man who accepts no limits—that includes locked doors, closed windows and underwear. Trenton’s hottest cop, Joe Morelli isn’t pleased at this unexpected arrival nor is Ranger, the high-powered security consultant who has his own plans for Stephanie.
As usual Jersey’s favorite bounty hunter is stuck in the middle with more questions than answers. What’s the deal with Grandma Mazur’s latest online paramour? Who is behind the startling epidemic of mutilated corpses? And is the enigmatic Diesel’s sudden appearance a coincidence or the cause of recent deadly events?

I love grandma! She’s My Ideal.
Always a laugh out loud outlandish fun. I always feel better after reading one of these books. I love the character foibles. Also im absolutely team Ranger.
Love this series. This is one of my favorite authors and series. I wait eagerly for each new book and buy the first day of release. I am never disappointed.
It was typical Evanovich – funny, silly and just plain entertaining.
Great book just as are all the others by Janet Evanovich. Makes me laugh and is an easy read. I have read all of the Stephanie Plum books and enjoy them all. Can’t wait to see what happens next and how the next car is smashed. Ranger’s “Babe” says it all.
Stephanie is probably my favorite character ever!
She rites some f the funniest, itty and interesting books I have ever read. Looking forward to her next book.
You know exactly what you’re getting with the numbered Stephanie Plum novels, and it is precisely the character-based lightweight (I am surprised they don’t float away…) stuff we expect.
A fun and easy book for a quick read. Enjoyable. As always a unusual plot that keeps you turning pages.
Evanavich always delivers the goods. Every Plum book has been clearly plotted, a solid story arc, enertaining primary and secondary characters and somehow sustains the suspense in the love tirangle
Evanovich never disappoints! I love these characters so much, keep it coming!
Love the Stephanie Plum series. Always laugh out loud characters in situations only Stephanie gets into.
Not the best of the Plums but still a fun fanciful read.
Love all of the characters
Ms. Evanovich has returned to hysterically funny stories. Her books haven’t been this good for awhile…..thoroughly enjoyed and definitely recommend this one, just be prepared to laugh out loud from beginning to end.
As always, Evanovichs characters bring the laughs. The story line is well done and original but the characters and dialogue keep me coming back for more. I own all her Plum and Diesel novels. This is the first time I have bought an e-book but I was running out of storage space. I have read and re-read all her novels multiple times and they never fail to entertain. Thank you Janet Evanovich, for the enjoyment you bring to your readers.
I used yo read this series and had forgotten how entertains they are. The author makes the characters real yet not. The series of predicaments the main characters face are great. This is a book or + 24 more to read. I think I will go back and read #1 for fun. One for the Money I believe is the title. Janet Evanovich delivers. She has also ridden some other fun series. Check her out.
Hilarious! Love the characters and the crazy situations they get in to.
Fun, easy read
I’ve read her books for years. They never fails to make me laugh out loud. However, I am getting tired of how long the on again off again relationship drags on. Just pick a guy and stick with him. Grandma is still hilarious and Lulu would be an awesome friend.
