Janet Evanovich’s #1 New York Times bestselling sensation Stephanie Plum returns in her twenty-fourth thriller as mutilated corpses litter the streets of New Jersey… Trouble comes in bunches for Stephanie Plum. First, professional grave robber and semi-professional loon, Simon Diggery, won’t let her take him in until she agrees to care for his boa constrictor, Ethel. Stephanie’s main … Stephanie’s main qualification for babysitting an extremely large snake is that she owns a stun gun—whether that’s for use on the wandering serpent or the petrified neighbors remains to be seen.
Events take a dark turn when headless bodies start appearing across town. At first, it’s just corpses from a funeral home and the morgue that have had the heads removed. But when a homeless man is murdered and dumped behind a church Stephanie knows that she’s the only one with a prayer of catching this killer.
If all that’s not enough, Diesel’s back in town. The 6-foot-tall, blonde-haired hunk is a man who accepts no limits—that includes locked doors, closed windows and underwear. Trenton’s hottest cop, Joe Morelli isn’t pleased at this unexpected arrival nor is Ranger, the high-powered security consultant who has his own plans for Stephanie.
As usual Jersey’s favorite bounty hunter is stuck in the middle with more questions than answers. What’s the deal with Grandma Mazur’s latest online paramour? Who is behind the startling epidemic of mutilated corpses? And is the enigmatic Diesel’s sudden appearance a coincidence or the cause of recent deadly events?

Janet does it agin.
I always enjoy this series. Once I start, can’t stop. Easy, light hearted, a good read after something heavy and dark.
Same book over again.
This is the 24th in the Stephanie Plum series, complete with Stephanie, Lula, Morelli and Ranger, along with an appearance by Diesel. This time zombies are terrorizing the region. Usual hijinks. I listen to these on audiobooks, Lorie King does a great job with all the voives.
I love all of the Stephanie Plum books! Ms. Evanovich is such a hilarious writer that I don’t mind the inevitable predictability.
One of my favorite authors. The whole Stephanie Plum series is similar- a crazy woman working as a bond agent going after crazy perp with the help of of one or more handsome law enforcement type of guys- but they are always entertaining!
Love the books in this series, can’t wait to read Hardcore Twenty Four
predictable..love Ms. Evanovich’s books but needs to put a little more effort in her Stephanie Plums stories…too much of the same old- same, old.
I love this book and auther!

As always Stephanie delivers!!!
All of Janet evanovich’s books our great reading she just needs to get more of them more often for people to read
Stephanie Plum is at it again. She’s only trying to do her job, but something interesting always happens. This time it includes a snake and some zombies. Add to that mix three very hunky guys. Not only Ranger and Morelli, but Diesel too. Yikes! And of course, her ability to destroy cars at the drop of a hat hasn’t changed. This story has you laughing the whole way. It doesn’t let you down, with Stephanie’s whole cast of characters…her family, Lula, and Grandma Mazur. This was an enjoy fast read. I always get a kick out of this gang.
This book, as well as the rest of the series, is a great way to unwind, have a laugh and enjoy your downtime. Highly recommend it!
