This book will grab ahold of your heart early and won’t let go. Absolute 5 star read! I can not begin to tell you how utterly fantastic it is! The story is wry & amusing with an ending that is really sweet, not just because of the happily-ever-after, but because we see that they are both admitting their true feelings in front of their brothers. If you like friends to lovers romances then I urge you to add this baby to your TBR pile.
I loved this addition to the Cook Brothers Series! Cohen and Skye are great friends at work they have incredible chemistry but know that anything between is off limits due to the fact that they work together but eventually realize that a secret friend with benefits relationship could work as long as neither ‘catch feelings’ for the other. I knew the whole time I was reading that would never work but loved the build up waiting for them to realize they could have more. There were times when I wanted to shake Cohen for his inability to admit his feelings and admit there was more to their relationship than just a sexual one but he really pulls it together in the end and that epilogue what’s me needing Ezra’s book ASAP! BJ Harvey has written an incredible series. She has become a new favourite, for light, fun and steamy romances and I will be looking forward to her future books for sure!
Wow, what a great story! Cohen is a paramedic, Skye is his partner and best friend. This book is filled with sexual chemistry between two people who promise not to catch feelings for each other. Keeping it a secret from friends and family is their ultimate goal, however you can’t hide something everyone else saw from the beginning. This book had it all and I love the fact that every character reappears in each book! This was such a well written story and series! Check them out today!
This was a fun read. Skye and Cohen were an interesting pair to watch as they worked through the friend/partner zones. She was strong and a bit wild. He had his own wildness to contend with, though he wanted more to his life. Together they were hot and actually made a great team. I recommend this book and this series.
I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.

I love a great friends to lovers story and boy did this one fit the bill. I loved Skye and Cohen. Their history of being best friends brings so much to this book. They already can be themselves with one another and you can tell how comfortable they are with one another. Taking it to the next level though that’s where things get interesting. I loved visiting with Cohen’s family. It’s always awesome to catch up to see how everyone is enjoying their HEAs. Plus I’m always laughing through the scenes when the brothers get together. I also loved Skye’s family and friends. This one is going to be hard to put down. The characters are just going to pull you right into this book. It has heart, heat, and humor. It’s a well rounded book. I like the set up for the last book in the series. It’s sounds like it’s going to a real good one.
Hard Work is the fourth story in the Cook Brothers series. If you like small town, family, drama, house flippin shows then this is one book you want to read. Better yet just read the whole series. Cohen and Skye’s story started out as co-workers to friends, but underneath it all was a slow burning chemistry. I liked their banter, it’s was fun, and cute. I liked how the Cook brothers/family are in eachothers books. I felt like I was part of it all. They made me laugh when their picking on eachother, just like my siblings do. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.

I love everything about the Cook County series and Harvey is breaking out the big guns in this one!
Cohen has long been one of my favorite Cook brothers but seeing him in this book made me fall even more in love! Despite their baby of the family status, Co and Skye aren’t spoiled rotten. They’re both fiesty and fierce and funny as hell. They were the perfect complement to each other and their chemistry was a 4 alarm fire, much to the dismay of her overprotective firefighter brothers! The family and friend group in these books is the best and constantly makes me laugh, especially Axel!
I’m so sad to see this awesome series come to an end but so stoked we’re getting an Ezra book…and from this ending, it’s going to be a doozy! I’m popping popcorn now! Cannot wait!

I love SkyCo!!!
BJ Harvey has done it again… the long-awaited youngest Cook brother, Cohen, finally has his book, and it was soooo hot, it was steaming!!!
I will start by saying that I’ve loved this series, and I’m sad to see it end soon after Ezra’s book. They did introduce a new family, the Rossi’s, where Skye is also the youngest member…. but there are 4 unattached siblings. I definitely see a new series coming soon!!
Cohen and Skye are partners at work, and two of her brothers also work at the fire station… and they have already warned Cohen to keep his Casanova hands away from her. A year later, the Cook brothers have purchased the apartment building where Skye lives in order to flip it, and Cohen has to move in to oversee the project.
The book is hilarious… since Skye is so ready to take that leap with Cohen, and he is terrified of her brother’s. Everytime they start to mess around, it’s like karma was keeping watch.
I highly recommend this book!!
I recieved an ARC for my honest review.
This is book four in the Cook Brothers and as I always seem to say this is my favourite one yet!
Cohen and Sky were everything. EVERYTHING!!
BJ Harvey is the queen of the rom com with witty banter that has you laughing out loud, or spluttering coffee all over your kindle in my case!
There was a great storyline, addictive loveable well relatable characters and as usual plenty of laughs and hot stuff along the way. A definite 5 star read!!
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book (given by the author)…

This is Cohen and Skye’s story.
I definitely enjoyed Cohen and Skye’s relationship especially as it changed. I would say it was a slow burn but it was more like a medium burn because these 2 were hot for each other right from the beginning of this book. This book was very steamy and it had some very swoon-worthy moments; that moment with the peanut allergy was so heartbreaking.
Again I love seeing everyone from the previous series and how they all connect to one another. I still love Axel and his swear jar ways and of course his connection with his new girlfriend 😉
I am always skeptical with friends with benefits relationships because you know how it could all go wrong especially when it’s a secret. I really wanted to love love love this book but I always have an issue when one person is ready for a real relationship and just expects the other one to be ready without any prior conversation.
Also the issue resolution seemed a bit rushed and quick; it was a nice gesture, but it seemed a bit small after all the advice and people who were involved with it.
I can’t wait to read Ezra’s story because that epilogue left me wondering what will happen next 🙂
HARD WORK is the fourth book in the “Cook Brothers” series. Cohen (Co/Cass) is the baby of the Cook Family and Skye (Brat) is the youngest in the Rossi clan so they are kindred spirits.
This is a classic friends to lovers to more story. It is well executed, there is s little bit of mystery that unravels at the right spot and a couple of families who like to eat, spend time and cOck block each other.
The story has a sense of humor about it and the timing is wonderful. We even get to revisit the other Cook Brothers and discover that they have been up to.
I anxiously await Ezras story.

What a fabulous story. Harvey delivers another must-read and I already can’t wait for more!
After reading the last book, I was eager to get my hands on this one. I’ve had a soft spot for Cohen throughout the series. I was excited for him to get his story and what a story it was. It was fun and sweet with just a bit of angst, quite a few laugh out loud moments and some seriously sexy ones, too. On top of that, we get Skye who I absolutely adore!
As with the rest of the series, we get a little sneak peek at what’s to come and wow! Don’t make me full name you, BJ! What a tease! I can’t wait to see how everything will unfold.
Hard Work is about the baby of the Cook family, namely Cohen and oh boy what a ride!!
I so fell in love with how caring that man is to those close to him!
The banter in this story is nothing short of wonderful and I just loved the beautiful bond between all the family and friends!
Cohen and Skye have the best work ethic and friendship but what happens when you decide to become intimate! Will there be consequences to this or will feelings come into play!
I really wish I could jump into this book and become friends with everyone! Too bad they are fictional….sigh!!
This was such a fantastic addition to the already amazing Cook Brothers Series! An extremely enjoyable read!
All the great romances start with stubborn individuals who become friends and then more. I truly love this couples story. It’s not always sunshine and rainbows but that’s what makes it beautiful. I love the writing and finshed this book in one sitting as I completely lost track of time. The worlds that Bj creates are truly amazing and for me she stands out amoung others authors because of this. I suggest you not only pickup this book but the entire series trust me you’ll be hooked.
I’ve said this after every single one of these books, but I’m doing it again LOL I really love this series, this family, these brothers, this author, I JUST LOVE IT ALL!!
What I loved best about Cohen and Skye is that they already had an excellent foundation. They were already friends with a good working relationship and they had spark which of course to anyone outside of them it was obvious their chemistry was meant for more and when they finally figured it out it made for an easy story! Those are my favorite! I mean there always has to be a conflict, of course, but it doesn’t always have to be heart-breaking or angst times a thousand .. feel me? Lol So this story was that for me.
Of course, BJ has mad skills in the words department so that helps a lot LOL I always enjoy her stories. Some more than others, but this series has been really good to me as a reader. The family dynamics that she incorporates into the storylines are very real in my world and this family just makes me happy!
Hard Work by BJ Harvey is book 4 in the Cook Brother Series. This is the story of Skye Rossi and Cohen Cook. I did feel this could be a standalone book if you wish to do so. Skye and Cohen are EMT partners along with being friends. There is a underling attraction between the two and they end up going into a secret friends with benefits type of encounters. But of course their feelings start going full force. This was a sweet, funny, hot read.
This book is funny, and sweet and all the things a good romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
I was extremely lucky (or unlucky depending on how I was teased) to read this early and I can honestly say as much as I loved the other Cook brothers Cohen was most definitely my favourite!!
BJ Harvey honestly knocked it out of the park with this one as she brought the some serious heat and mixed with some real emotion. The chemistry between Cohen and Skye was so intense and off the charts I’m sure my phone was steaming. The build up for them honestly gave me blue balls and made me all hot and bothered.
Honestly Cohen and Skye were just everything! Their banter, their connection it was 100% all in, even when they didn’t want to admit there was more between them.
I want to rave about how wonderful this book is but if I do I will be spoiling it for you and you need to experience this beauty for yourself.
I loved seeing the rest of my favourites in this and how they all stepped up to help with the big gesture and to help hit Cohen upside the head when he was being stupid! I love these guys.
I will be honest I my love for Ezra has increased in this one and I can’t wait for his book! <3
Another enjoyable read from B.J Harvey and the Cook Brothers. Hard Work is a sweet and sexy rom-com with minimal drama so it’s a nice and easy to read and lose yourself in. I have been really looking forward to Cohen’s book and thought Skye was the perfect match for him; there’s no denying that these two have great chemistry. This was a friends to lovers story and I had wished that we had got to see a bit more of their journey on becoming best friends, this was skipped over a little too much for me. That said, I did enjoy this book and would happily recommend this series.
I was provided with a copy of this book from the publisher; there was no inducement or obligation and I opted to leave a review.
It’s Baby Brother Cohen’s book in the series, and I gotta say, I love him lol. He’s the baby of the family, feeling stuck in life, always working long and hard as a paramedic and helping his brothers with the flipping business. He decides to move into the apartment building they are renovating, which happens to be where his partner Skye lives. Skye works just as hard and long, they have a dynamic working relationship, along with being best friends. So when they decide to jump into a “friends with benefits” situation, sex only kinda vibe, though Cohen is hesitant in the beginning, they soon jump full on in. And let me tell you, they are so fun together. And hot. I totally love them! As their time goes on, real feels are had, complications arise, and easy-going-
just-having-fun turns into more. I really really really LOVED this!! This family is such a blast
